I stand to be corrected but a100a cc controller already tells you that you won't get beyond 2700w at any point in time even if your PV is up to 4000w. brightk: I don de discourage already I have one of dia booklets dat indicate the pv array is 4000w |

25. 6v 150ah (EVE cells) With 100a BMS, 570K With 200a BMS 580K Techsinnovative: @ Dam5reey1 and other Gurus in the house, please i seek advice.
i need to replace my quanta batteries on a 4kw/24v hybrid inverter, am looking of getting a Lithium battery pack. However i have a strained budget of #600k. i need a minimum of 3.5kwh, would have wished for a 5kwh. I also need wifi capability for the battery as i plan on integrating it to Home Assistant.
- Can you please suggest what i can get in this budget range? - Would i be able to achieve 5kwh if i assemble it myself (am comfortable with electronics), even if i have to add a little bit more to achieve?
Thank you for the tremendous knowledge you share

You are better off with a 48v inverter (5-6kva) If you need to find someone to couple it for you, just buy the coupled one from Docan. Almost every supplier in Dongguan has the Lishen 314ah, it is better value for money. Pabodo: I can never stop thanking you guys for the good works by keeping this group alive and flourishing.
Please I will appreciate a professional advice. I want to set up an Offgrid system for my family (3 Bedroom) Loads are; Double door thermocool freezer, Water heater(Alternate), 1.5hp non inverter AC, 3 Ceiling, Washing machine, Home theatre, 55" Smart TV, Electric Iron(shut down others when use), Blender, 15 lighting points, other household items + allowance.
Question
1. What capacity of lithium battery bank can I use 2. What Premium or Medium grade inverter/size can you recommend 3. How many panel
For the lithium battery bank, which is advisable?
1. Buy already coupled bank from China or 2. Buy the cells/materials from China and find who couples it in Nigeria ( Store on Alibaba is Docan Technology or any other recommended).
Finally I will do my review and MAKE SURE I get someone from this group to install which will be my contribution |

Thanks for the compliment. Against wood degrading pests, the wooden casings stand no chance. From this month however, 12v 3.5kwh/4kwh buyers wll have the option to choose btw plastic and wooden case. 24v 7.1 - 8kwh buyers will also have the option to choose btw wooden and foreign metal case. jmaine: Hello Mrreed, thanks for the alternate offers you render for your lithium packs. However, I did like to know how durable your wood casing is in areas infested with termites, or other wood degrading pest agents known to be very destructive? |

You will also say that manual transmissions are better. ask4bk: We Nigerians praising inverters like Growatt, SRNE etc which are cheap and high frequency shows our shallowness in good solar applications..
Growatt in the west is meant for the poor who can't afford solid inverters and for 80% users they die on them after 18 months or 2 years.
Manufacturers of inverters make it clear to users not to use high frequency inverters for heavy loads. They are not meant for devices with inductive loads like fridge, freezer, pumps, AC. They are not meant for offgrid home applications when you know you'll use the loads. High frequency inverters (without transformers) are for light equipments like lightings, TV, phones, laptop, security cams etc. That's why they are Damn cheaper than low frequency ones. There components are not meant to handle heat for long.
But for us, we will use them with AC, pump, freezer etc and since it's working (of course it'll work), we claim they are the best. But they won't last on the long run.
A low frequency felicity inverter is multiple times better than your highest brand (Deye, Growatt, Tesla) high frequency inverter for offgrid use with heavy loads.
If you are going for offgrid, spend the extra money and get yourself a low frequency transformer based inverter. They are made to withstand heat, dust, heavy loads and harsh environments.
If you need inverter for your office, farm or home, for just light, laptop, TV, printer etc. No need to go for low frequency. Go then for high frequency inverters and save cost |

The same way there are not many 24v 5kva inverter. Anyone with a need for such battery capacity will be better off using a 48v system. You will save on cable and won't be stressing your inverter and battery unnecessarily. HeavenlyBang: Damn, I don't think anyone else is making 24v in these capacities. |

With a continuous power draw of 280w, 7 hours at best. You have to account for the inverter power consumption and its DC to Ac efficiency. Fremlin: These batteries are with BMS and Also LiPO4? getting the 25.6v, 100ah, with 1.5kva, will it handle 120w freezer 60w laptop 100w miscellaneous

OR 620w panel from Fouani x6 <125k each (the key to getting this price is if you have contact of electronics seller that buy other things from Fouani. You can liase with them to help you order this straight from company) 6kva Luxsun/cworth hybrid inverter circa 450k The other materials will cost 160-200k if the panels will be on your roof and yiu stay in a bungalow. Your perceptions are usually weird. So because some batches probably have factory defect, that makes them comparable to tokunbo or used with up to 50-50 chances? bassdow: Major reason I try as much as possible to avoid going for repairs. I recall when I said something against sachet inverters, and some One / people argued that the parts are readily available and could easily be fixed. Me just dey look dem. People wey don go through stress of finding technician, then they charge you high, still give you time to collect which by the Day and Time you go for collection, you're told one story or the other; and you fit go there like multiple times before frustration go take over. No one tells you such, but all sweet talk till you experience it.
By the time you add cost of transportation, cost of repairs (depending on how many times you repair it), + other stress, and costs, no be to kukuma buy better product even if na Tokunbo or 2nd Hand.
rarely do I even listen to all the Warrantes and Guarantees.
Major reason the moment I know a couple of (average) quality ones, I stick with them. Client wey complain of costs, or chooses to shop for themselves, me no go even argue, I go just bill you for installation; unlike those wey go dey vex say you go buy your things yourself. |

When you search his moniker, you will see why he shouldn't be taken seriously. ManAdii: I see two things here. It's either your mind is made up already and you're just looking for a validation to get either of the batteries or you're not getting what the people above are saying.
How can you buy 48v 100ah for 1.8m where you can get a good 48v 280ah or 314ah between 1.9m ~ 2.5m. It doesn't make financial sense to me.
Anyway, your money, your decision. |

That's 2parallel series 2parallel

Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Mrreed(m): 8:00am On May 07, 2025 |
4bmm is fine. The maximum current from that PV will barely excede 13a. Between the charge controller and battery is where he will need 16mm cable oloet: For science, I think you have actually created another problem by using a 4mm cable in a 12v system, that's like 58A running through your cable line at peak hours since you are over panelled. Please make sure your breaker is properly sized. Enjoy your investment |
