PuZZyNegro: It's all about areas people are familiar with. I can take a trip to Benin City, but will never take a trip to Ibadan here.
The first time I took a ride to Ayobo, police arrested me for one way.
Some of these places may have a smooth road to drive through but when there's any diversion into the streets, it's horrible.
Festac has terrible bad roads with Okada driving recklessly in between cars. It's only on Sunday that anyone that wants to experiment with these places can do so.
Getting trips in those places isn't the problem, but getting trips bringing you back to your desired destination is. Most trips you get will have a long pick up distance and time due to obvious reason - fewer driver availability. Also, the time of the day matters the most. I stay at Yaba and you don't expect me to take a trip to such a place by 4pm. Most trips on that axis revolve around that axis.
Like this, I even avoid trips going to Lekki phase 2 as much as I avoid trips going to that Alasia side. You've said it all |

Conner44: Hehehe this life is funny sha, these places you're afraid of are the same places many people are very comfortable with. Most of these places are just along that straight stretch of road from orile to badagry. I understand work is still ongoing on the road but they have gone very far.
What exactly do drivers fear going to these routes? Is it Lastma, Vio, frsc, traffic or just plain bad roads?
Unless seeing passengers taking you back out is the phobia I don't see why the excessive fear. Truth is that all those state government's forces that terrorise motorists in most other parts of lagos are very laid back and relaxed along that lagos - badagry axis for the usual taxis and private vehicles. Only those hauling goods get jittery and for good reason (customs checkpoints)
The only major places I know where you're likely to jam wereys are between mile2 and maza-maza first gate (VIO Office on service lane), between Alakija bridge and Barracks (FRSC office on service lane) and at Okokomaiko/iyana-oba (LASTMA at that under bridge turning towards iyana-school/igando) but all in all those ones at these axis aren't as strict as the ones you usually jam at other places in lagos.
When it comes to traffic the major places to watch out for are at volks/alaba and trade fair sides going towards mile2 between the hours of 4:30pm - 6pm (because of traders closing from market) and passing Satellite town on the days when tankers are loading petroleum products from the oil depots because they might cause slight traffic between trade fair and abule-ado where they park and queue, then just before Finaija/Dantata bus stop (between abule-ado and alakija) where they have to turn into ijegun to load their fuel, kero and diesel. If its about bad roads then its unless you're going towards and passing ijanikin you'd encounter it where I'm sure the road work is still ongoing.
Well maybe it's because I've been living along this axis since the day I was born that's why it's very comic seeing drivers groan about coming here. I swear if I was driving on ehailing and I encountered any passenger coming towards this side I will first groan because of the location like you guys always do just to get them to take the trip offline so I can hammer full time and very comfortably
I even see residents here complaining that most ehailing drivers don't agree to come to festac/Satellite and I smile. Maybe it's because this is mostly a residential part of the state hence it will be mostly easier to get trips out in the mornings and back in the evenings. I'm not familiar with those sides, I rely a whole lot on the map. And seeing as you people have even mentioned the bad road networks there, what if I go stuck for service lane or I go follow express when I suppose follow service lane. |

SHOOPSYN:
I just have phobia for these parts of Lagos state. Alakija, Orile Iganmu, Okokomaiko, Mile2/Apapa Amukoko, Oko Agbon , Igbo Elerin Ojo Badagry ofcurse. Those names even sound scary ...Just getting use to Festac lately. I cancel any trip going to Ifelodun Ajeromi, irrespective of the surge. I was born, brought up and schooled in lagos, I no sure say I don reach all these places you mention. My hustle no dey pass island, somolu, Ikeja, ojodu, gbagada... PuZZyNegro: Indriver is a criminal company. They charge you for trips that did not happen and will never refund.
God help you if you go to Airport to pick a rider on Indriver and the person later cancelled.
You will lose your commission, your parking fee, and your time plus fuel for driving down to that place.
Worst are those ones that will book at a bus stop. You will get to a place where you can't park and the rider will be asking you to park there. Once you drive away from that place, your commission is gone.
I would rather lose my rating on Bolt than my real money on Indriver.
Their prices self is so ridiculous. Bless you!!! How you go tell me to park for ajah under bridge? Make them come hold me. Na ment That's how I parked in Arrival at the airport waiting for one yeyebrity laikdat. Before I know, airport parking people don jump down from their truck. Thankfully my alloy rim get as e be so them no see that their iron rod chuk inside, na so I escape o. |

Glithronix: No vex, bro. Indrive has the 'wackest' customer service, so, don't rely on them for any resolution. As you rightly said, having no physical office here is still greasing their elbow. That's why. That being said, I think you're relatively new on indrive. Indrive is actually not that complicated for drivers. And yeah, all companies care more about their customers, so as e-hailing companies. I will say you're yet to grab the scope of how indrive's system operates. All you need to know about indrive has been posted here, just try and read back. Bolt's own is even worse and with that, many drivers here know how to beat them to their game. For indrive, don't call any passenger you picked their order. I can't start this again, abeg. Just try and read back. You will definitely get the grip of indrive as time goes on sha. Mind you, any money wey indrive don swallow, e don go. Otiló. 🕺💃👯 😁
Much respect, boss. Don't call riders Okay, noted... But, make I just dey drive go destination? Couple of times I've seen one person order ride on Bolt, Rida and Indrive. |

konkoabove: 2 tires! Sorry about the experience. Readadream shared a number recently of a guy in Lekki selling tires. I hope he opens on Sundays? Besides, how did you get home? Crazy experience I called my friend/neighbor to see if he could come with his car (so I could use his extra tire) but his tires were deflated too. I say "Mba!! I will not sleep here today", called another friend/neighbor and he coincidentally happened to be driving past LCC bus stop, him just enter from Eleganza with him uber (the uber driver that helped me yesterday, if you're here I appreciate you once again) I was at Cooplag Garden btw (goddammit!! That place is faaaarrr!) Long story short, na the uber guy extra tire and my own extra tire I use carry the car reach house. His tire was bigger than mine so the car no balance 😅🤣😂 I bought 2 tires at a shop on Addo Road later yesterday sha.... 11k per one (Tokunbo tires) and they're really nice tires. |
