Tourism in Nigeria is very interesting
I package tours within Nigeria only.

In my honest opinion. We should focus on local tourism. Encourage Nigerians to visit our tourist sites. The white guys will not come here for now.

The major issues on ground
1. A lot of Nigerians do not even know our tourist sites.
This is because we do not package and promote our sites.

2. A lot of tourist sites are owned and managed by government. Those guys have challenges.

3. Infrastructure and hotels. Another challenge. The hotel guys need to step up in every aspect. But then its all tied to infrastructure.

any estimates?

I'm not referring to carnivals btw, but tourism of natural or man made sites.
It all depends. Do you mean via packaged tours or income from entry fees?

Just like any other biz there are several streams of income

Just because i am not as intelligent as the poster, i read the post 5 times and pretty much sure the location of this delight was not mentioned.

What city is this ERIN?

What State?

What is the security level?

Is Erin a Private entity or public?

Answers and a little history of the place please, so curious tourist like us can visit.
Erin is a camp with accommodation within the Forest Reserve. It is within Ijebu Ode axis in Ogun State. FYI. The current edition of Gulder Ultimate Search is taking place within the reserve
TravelOmo Forest Reserve, Ogun State. A Place To View Forest Elephants etc by mrsage(op):
This is a relatively unknown tourist site.

Located about 135 kilometers from Lagos. About 2 hours drive from Berger in Lagos.

The Omo Forest Reserve contains over 200 types of tree, 125 species of bird and several mammals, including many endangered species such as Chimpanzees, Elephants and White-throated Guenon Monkeys. This makes it not only an area of outstanding natural beauty, but also an area of great conservation importance.

The reserve contains an elephant camp where guests can enjoy the beautiful elephants, nature trails, stay in clean but basic cabins or tents and enjoy an evening campfire and BBQ.

To get the best view of the reserve visitors can climb Beetle Hill. Organised trips include a 45 minute drive to the hill's base, or a two and a half hour walk, and a 25 minute climb to the top. Trips usually include a picnic lunch, so don't worry about bringing your own food and weighing down your backpack.

The forest's biodiversity is threatened by poaching, logging and uncontrolled farming.

Erin Camp:
This is located within the Forest Reserve
Shortly after, visitors arrive at ‘Erin’ camp (named after the Yoruba word for elephant) before setting out along one of the camp’s nature trails. Signs of elephants are normally abundant if you look carefully, and if you are extremely lucky you may even see a group.
After relaxing and chatting, guests can retire into one of three basic but clean and screened wooden cabins, each of which is equipped with two beds covered by good mosquito nets. Alternatively, guests can choose to sleep in their own tent or the ones provided by the camp management.

Camp in brief
– 6 Beds with pillows
– Mosquito nets
– Closed off bucket Shower
– Kitchen with stove
– Clean stored rainwater
– Campfire / bbq
– Benches and seating for 10 people
– Covered seating area

This is a place you should visit. A perfect blend of relaxation and adventure

Ajebotta ke cheesy

You should have seen the speed in which my daughter and I ran down those steps
My daughter was already not feeling those blue alayonberes or whatever they are called, only to now come and see a snake.
Hubby was calling us back . . .we no send o! we didnt stop running till we got all the way to the bottom

Erin Jesha is nice, but we enjoyed Ikogois better though. Is it true that no one has ever reached the top of the summit in Erinjesha before & there are lions living there? Me I dont beleive it but thats what the guide said.
For me i enjoy killing snakes. Its fun.

I almost got to the top the last time but gave up eventually.
I will surely get to d top on the 27th.

That tour guide dey lie small. People get to the top everyday. There is a small village at the top and the village is part of Ekiti State.
