Sta8narrow: Im sorry, I would rather not endorse any whom I have not received service from and Im still undecided but have narrowed it down to 2. My total cost at Maricoma was just a little over $8100US (normal childbirth not cesarean). No complications, no extra days in hospital which is stll a very reasonable price, just unexpected. Please, did you sign the agreement marternity package? Before having your baby at MMC. They most have given you receipts for you total bill, I will love to know what the hidden charges were. And what the quote provided by them covers. Because a lady stated that her total expenses at MMC was 3500$. Also this forum is meant for sharing ideas we wouldn't mind if you just give us more light on hospitals you are looking at considering you have got the experience. So others can learn from. Cheers |
Mrs Bee: Hi. What were their reasons for giving you a higher quote, cos most times if there were complications during birth or you stayed an extra day it will attract more charges. Pls do give us a detailed information as to what happened because i am planning towards Maricopa already. What was the initial price quote you were give? How much extra were you charged? Will post their agreement form where they have what your bill includes and excludes. Please revert. Sta8narrow: Thank you all for such valuable information. I am in the process of having my second baby in the U.S. and thank all for the info. I do have to mention that my first baby I had at the hospital mentioned above (Maricopa Integrated) and the price came out much different than what they first quoted (the prices shown above were the prices quoted to me as well). Which is the reason I am here and appreciate the members of this forum for their valuable information. I think I have made up my mind but please do your research ladies, the price quote at Maricoma is incomplete and I was very stressed at the surprise I got when there. Please note: all services are not included although it looks that way. I do not want to get into details because I dont think it was their fault either since I think most hospitals would quote in the same manner.Hi. What were their reasons for giving you a higher quote, cos most times if there were complications during birth or you stayed an extra day it will attract more charges. Pls do give us a detailed information as to what happened because i am planning towards Maricopa already. What was the initial price quote you were give? How much extra were you charged? [quote author=bettymafy]Thanks for that. Is the $400 for a month? Secondly, that hospital's website isn't so informative. Is it the correct one?[/q The 400$ is for one month, if you check accommodations on www.azcentral.com. The hospital's website is very correct you have to click services under-which u will find women's health then click maternity plan package. Play with the website you will find alot of information. check this http://www.mihs.org/services-and-programs/maternity-package-plan |
Mrs Bee: Phewwwwww. She did mention the name of the hospital on another thread. yes am working on the accommodation thou. The have really nice furnished accommodation ranging from 400$ above. I wanna conclude with the hospital pay my bills, get an accommodation then book a ticket. By Gods grace all should be sorted out this week.https://www.nairaland.com/202834/want-give-birth-us/4 |

bettymafy: ^^^ That is a nice one! Thanks for sharing. But I'm abit concerned with the cost of those tests. Doctoresparati allows one come with test results from home country cos of the cost of the tests in the US. So one has to factor in the cost of these tests before making a move.Hi this is the name of the thread. I Want To Give Birth In Us. This is what is included in their maternity package. My dear i don't intend hiring any help, i believe if some people did it without an help i can do it. when you have your baby at the hospital they will lecture and show you how to bath for your baby and all. Asides during antenatal classes we were taught alot of things. My husband would be joining me at 38weeks and he will be there for just 2weeks. If i have any issues or question i will call my mum. but there isnt any issue hiring a help thou one might need it but as a woman you need to be string for yourself and believe that you can do it. if mad women can have babies without any help. Then sane women can do better. its just a thing of the mind. LOL. bamakoe: For me, Phoenix is not so far on the map from El PasoI meant coming from Nigeria to El paso looks really far and its on an outskirt. Not discouraging thou am just looking for an affordable and very good hospitals. Cos it doesn't make any sense going to Elpaso where i no get family and i will spend more so i just opted for Arizona where i don't have a family and i will be paying less. Just my own opinion i opted for elpaso too till i discovered this hospital. |
Mrs Bee: Hi, was alseep while i was typing last nyt. The fee of the hospital is as follows.Below is a testimony of a lady who had a babu at MIHS Phoenix Arizona. Her username is vivianobas. I was 20 weeks pregnant when I applied for the visa but didnt tell that to the VO cos it wasn't showing. I got the visa without any problem cos I had the right documents (which were not checked by the way). I was 32 weeks when I travelled and my port of entry was Newark, New Jersey. After I was stamped in for 6 months, I was directed to customs for properly checking. At this point, they still didn't know I was pregnant but the custom officer checking my luggages discovered some ante natal drugs and asked me how old the pregnancy was. I feigned ignorance but later told him the truth and also showed him the correspondences I exchanged with a birthing center in San Diego, California reflecting that I was scheduled for appointment with them. At this point, the CO took copies of the scan I had with me, the correspondences between me and the Birthing Center and asked me to wait for him. He went inside and came back to ask how I intended paying for my delivery and I told him I will be paying cash and showed him the cash. Thereafter he handed me my documents and joking told me his name and said he would be happy if I named my baby after him cos he asked if I knew the sex already and I told him. I ended up not using the birthing center cos when I got to Arizona, my brother insisted that I deliver in Arizona and I agreed. I gave birth in an hospital and spent $3,500 for everything (including circumcision and post natal visits for me and my baby). The care I received was superb and I will recommend the hospital over and over again. I delivered on a Thursday and on Friday morning a lady from the birth registration department of the hospital came to take the baby's details for birth certificate and social security number. I told her the I needed the birth certificate early to enable me process my baby's passport and she told me to pick up the BC on monday office at the vital records office. Lo and behold I called the vital office on Tuesday morning and my baby's BC was ready for pick up. Iwent to the office and paid $20 for it. 2 days later, I went to the court and applied for an expedited US passport for him and was asked to start tracking online after 3 days. Instead of tracking, I called the national passport center and told them I needed to travel in less than two weeks and needed to send the passport for Nigerian visa. I was told processing will take 2 to 3 weeks, but I ended up getting the passport after 9 working days. Thereafter, I sent the passport and required documents to an agent in Washington who processed the visa within 3 days. My baby was issued 2 years Nigerian visa. The SSN card arrived exactly two weeks after I delivered. We are back to naija and I am planning of getting a Nigerian passport for him soon. The rest is history...... |

bamakoe: El Paso doctoresparatiI like this Elpaso too but the thing is looking at the map it is very far and it is very close to mexico etc. God so good i found this other option it made more sense and i did my research too. Most hospitals do charge for epidural ,Obgyn, pediatrician separately etc but they don't. It was more like they did a research on their own and employed every1 to work for the hospital and they pay them their stipulated monthly salary so they dont start charging individually to cut cost. Furthermore, following delivery at MMC, you will receive a refund for $250.00. This Plan is not limited to Maricopa County residents, and does not have any income requirements. And they take pregnant woman at 35 weeks too. Would try get the link for the Times magazine thingy. |

We just had to prove we had enough funds in our account. 1) We looking for an affordable accommodation and hospital in Atlanta. That is the cheapest i really would appreciate several options.2) In elpaso for an 8week stay how much would the hospital and accommodation bill cost in total on an average, also what flights do they have available, How do one fly there cos am sure there are several connecting flights to this destination. 3) Do we have anyone in this forum going to Elpaso or atlanta in September, as all family and friends stay in the expensive and big cities. |
