There are so many schools to apply, just type the name of the course schools that offer it will pop up. such as Derby, Northumbria, Teeside, Oxford Brookes, Chester, Bournemouth, Plymouth, Lincoln etc.
C6 can be accepted all depends on the school requirements, some schools do not require Ielts. MMU didn't require Ielts but they are for Jan admission.
Some schools have started closing for sept 2023 admissions already for MSC Mental health, but some schools are still available but the time to apply is now. But note that the person must have at least 500-700hrs of experience before he or she can considered.

Thank you for your response. One last question. On the checklist for child dependent, is statement of account highlighted as documents to be submitted, this is because my kids belong to one of the countries exempted from providing proof of funds and it wasn't highlighted, just need to be cleared on this.
Thank you

Hi,
Kindly wait another three months( 3months from the day you last applied) to reapply, when you apply too many times without giving it adequate timing they see you been desperate. You kept trying just weeks away hence the denials, you can go apply even when you showing just go with all the necessary documents and receipts and pray for favour. (A VO once advised my sister inlaw you must give it 3months that is when they believe you story can change)Hope this helps

Lawyer123:
Hello house,Pls my friend needs your help. This is her story below:

Hello everyone, I had my interview yesterday now I was rejected. This would be my 3rd interview so far in 2016.
The first time in Jan 2016,I had just got recently married and wanted to go for my honeymoon but was rejected. (Pls note my husband has a valid visa)
The 2nd interview in Feb 2016, i still maintained that I was going for a vacation with my husband and I told them our budget, how much I earned and my husband's income. However I was denied again.

I am currently 22weeks pregnant and i got that information after the second interview.I applied again (my husby paid the full hospital fee and Doctor fee which was 6850USD), I had my doctor correspondence along with confirmation of reciept of payment), budget sheet, statement of account, medical report.

The transcript thus;

Me: Good morning Sir
VO; good morning , your passport please ( handed over my passport)
VO; why are you going to the US?
Me; I am going to deliver my baby (I started giving him my medical history), the fact that I currently have a history diabetes in pregnancy , I lost 2 of my elder sister - 1 died during childbirth and the other was a preterm, hence my husband being a doctor and knowing that the prenatal mortality rate in Nigeria is poor, we decided it's best to go to the US in order to have access to Better healthcare facility for me and our baby. ( while I was saying this he was already going through my doctor correspondent, receipt and my budget sheet in which I followed phema budget but made changes to suite my needs)
VO; so I can see that you were denied visa twice , what has changed?
Me: we just got married in Jan and we wanted to go for our honey moon in Hawaii in which was denied due to insufficient fund, however now I am pregnant and my medical condition of being diabetic is the reason why I am here for this interview.
Vo; sorry madam I am afraid I will have to disqualify you again bla bla bla
Me; please what is the reason ?
VO; sorry madam I will advice you give birth in uk or India
Me; excuse me sir , I deserve to know the reason as we have already paid the full medical fee
VO: sorry madam the hospital will refund you your money , I advice you deliver in the uk or India

Please what are my options now and where do you think I went wrong?(I'm thinking of reapplying or seeking a petition)

PLEASE HELP VERY URGENT

Hello house,
Thanks be to God,had my baby yesterday afternoon via C-section,mother and child doing well just that baby has little jaundice n has to be under the phototherapy for like 8hrs formonitoring purposes.
Pls who has an idea of what bill NICS will come up with, when it comes to jaundice?
In between DR E was superb as usual.
Thanks to everyone that has been of help one way or the other.God bless u.

,
My response might be a little too late, let me share a trick that saved me from NICU when my son had jaundice. Slice white onion into a bottle of water, let it soak for few hours, put a littlein your baby's bottle(without the onion). PS: Don't let the doctors see it because they would take it from. When asked, tell them all you giving your baby is water. They declared my son Jaundice free before we left the hospital. Don't stop giving him till hes eyes are clear. Works like magic.

@ Mrs Bee,

Hi there. She'll be staying somewhere in Riverdale, like 15mins drive from the Hospital itself. Friends/family that we have in ATL live like 40mins - 1 hr away so we decided to rent a place ($900/mth). She spoke with the financial manager, Yvette sumtin and yes her appointment has been booked for next week.

I'm sure the company will be very welcomed. Share ur email and I will forward to her.

Hope you are keeping well and everything's looking up.

Thank you all so much for all the information that has been posted on this forum. I have been a silent follower for the past 4 months, absorbing all the intel and now executing my plan. Wifey and I have decided to use the Women Community Care of Southern Regional Medical Center in Atlanta for a number of reasons (e.g normal delivery-4k, C.S - 6k etc). She will be flying direct via Delta to Atlanta (hope we wont have any issues) and I will most likely be joining her a few days to the EDA. I heard the Atlanta crew are usually difficult so we're keeping our fingers crossed. We've been to the US a number of times so don't expect there should be too much wahala sha.

Babababy: The issue of circumcision in America is relative, I agree with most of the post about it not being done well . @mrs bee, America might have the best health care in the world, but circumcision is a practice that was forced on them. Majority of circumcision is done and practiced by the Jewish society based on religious beliefs,The American mode of circumcision is practiced due to the fact that they believe it reduces the risk of contacting sexually transmitted diseases and urinary tract infections in new born. States like San Francisco are currently debating a ban on it, as well as Germany. Their are a lot of uncircumcised ,ale adults in Europe as well.
Hmmmnnnnn, my friend had hers done in Phoenix and it was okay. Abeg i done dey fear oh, Shey I circumcise my pikin like dis. Well till then will ask around becos my family friend had 2 of her babies at d same hospital and she has 2boys. And this boys am seeing ehn. Bad guy things. Dis was 16yrs ago oh. Them all grown now.

ringofGod: hey peeps..how r we? i heard i shd not circumcise my baby in america as they dont know how to do it well in general.. any advice on this. also...any advice on point of entry in america... i am showing that i am pregnant but i dont intend to hide it because i appliedd for my visa and told them i was pregnant...is this ok or shd i still try to conceal my baby bump?
Jesus Christ who said that? One of the reason why u going to America is to ensure you have the best health care delivery, so why would a country who has got the best care system not be good with circumcisions, that's a fallacy my dear. What's your POE as I didn't have any issues, them even giving me preferential treatment of helping with my luggage etc, despite d fact I tried hard to conceal my pregnancy under my dress top I still they show, first the way u walk gives you away, your swollen face and feet after d long ass flight too gives you away. There Is notin to hide except if you aren't due soon. Cost I flew in at 35 weeks and my belly is a small one but still pple noticed. Just be real and say the truth. I was stamped 7months sept- march. Some guy walked up to me was asking questions if I was carrying gala, garri, food substances I said nope that I ain't craving for any of those and he let me go without searching.

Proceeded to Customs a special place where I had my luggage thoroughly searched and asked how much I had on me told her she said am I aware that I can bring in more than 10k$ but I must declare it I said yes that my husband is joining me and he is bring ping more money. She even gave referrals to other hospitals. And that was it.

beyunce: hi all,

i have been following this thread and i have some questions. i'm due feb. although i ave not gotten my visa yet, but im hopeful that i will get it since payin for my baby's birth is not really an issue for me. my problem is that, i really dont know how to go by this admission process, since everytime i call the hospitals they say i should contact my physician.

i want to pay for atleast/if posible the whole fee or half before i go for my interview. so what are the steps for me to get things moving?
1. after contacting the physician and he/she accepts to take me. whats next? how do i go by paying the hospital their bill?
2. i guess it will be easier if i go with a hospital that provide physician and i just pay them on their website? or what do you all suggest?
3. i have ruled out el paso. but im seriously considering MIHS Arizona, MrsBee and any other person with idea and how to go about Maricopa, please do let me know on the process.

Basically, what i need right now is how to go about getting a physician and paying for atleast all or half of the physician/hospital bills before i go for my interview.
thank you all. i ill appreciate any input.
Hi, My advice as follows.
Before you go for your interview get another hospital with higher fees accompanied with an invitation letter or an hotel reservation bla bla. This is because at the point of interview the interviewer wouldn't appreciate you presenting documents from a cheap hospital because this is going to seem like you can't afford to pay your bills. Please don't pay for any hospital bill before bin issued a visa, most hospitals won't take money from you anyway because its a long process getting a refund if in the end you aren't issued one. After you done with the whole visa processing you can call MIHS Few weeks to your date of departure to book an appointment with them and they ready to receive you even at 37 weeks. All test and all will be conducted when you get to MIHS. Worry not about a birthing center, worry more about your interview, getting a date, and also proving to the interviewer you can afford tompay for your bills conveniently even when there is a case of an emergency. And pls donot lie about bin pregnant. Because all your history in the us goes into the system. Hope this helps.

Mousepad: Hi Fam,

I'm considering using a birth centre oo! Got two in Dallas (at Grand Praire and Garland) i'm trvling on Friday by God's grace and I'll be 34wks by then. The prices I got from the two birth centres are $3,900 and $3,200 respectively (cos i'm coming late) which covers both use of birth centre and services of the midwives. But note that they will not accept anyone considered high risk i.e complications in pregnancy. I had to send them my medical records from my first antenatal visit to date and they both accepted me after reviewing my records. I'll keep u guys posted when I get to the states. Please pray for God's favour at POE oo! I'm thinkin of hvin $8k cash + my bank cards, I also have a letter from the birth centre and another letter from a doctor. I'm using the doctor's own to cross over since the fees are more and these guys want pple who will spend in their country smiley but once I enter I'll jejely cancel the doctor's appt and head to my midwives. By the way I had my first baby in the UK and was attended to by midwives at the hospital so I'm very familiar with their practice. Cheers all!
Nice. Wish u all the best. For 1st timers like us they dnt always advice we use birthing centers as we lack experience and anytin can happen. You have got the experience so am sure u knw as the whole thing goes. Wish u d very best. Good news and miraculous testimonies sha be our 2 all expecting mum. Cheers

forevermine: Oh nothing of the sort but I was just briefing my sister who lives in Maryland about the MIHS pricing and the whole thingy but she says I should be doubly sure before I commit myself cos she's heard most of these hospitals/centres that appear cheap/affordable are sort of like boarding houses- those were her exact words. Where pts r crumped up and all. Of course I'd have loved to give birth in MD where she is bt I'm tryna save costs, as the price ranges she's told me are over the top( she had a baby in august last year n her bill ws close to 15grand). So js wanted a reconfirmation/new update on MIHS pricing/bill, as in is it all-encompassing,are u allowed to bring ur tests frm naija/will they be accepted? Etc...
MIHS is as it is. If you have any doubt visit their website and call thiem directly. Vivian just had anoda baby there April 2013. And their pricing is the same.

Babababy: Hello everyone, sure everybody is doing great? Please can anyone throw some light on the "letter of consent " for mothers requesting American passport after delivery and the father of the baby is not in town. I understand only a notary done by an American institution is recognized, while someone once mentioned a notary from Nigeria is accepted ? Any mother in the house with a good explanation please.?

If d father of your child will not be joining you before or after the baby is born; then you may need to have his Parental Consent Form filled out, signed and notarized by a lawyer in order to process your baby's US passport.

For perspective, when applying for a US passport for a minor below 16years, both parents and the child need to be present to submit the application. However, if one parent cannot be present, then he/she would need to fill a Parental Consent form which will need to be notarized by a lawyer.

Scanned copies of this form are not accepted; only the original copy with the notary seal will be accepted. You therefore have 2 options- it's either you wait till the baby is born; and this form is filled by your husband, notarized and original copy sent to you via courier OR you fill in the key details +notarization before your trip and travel with the original copy thus saving you the courier costs.

If you decide to fill the form prior to your trip, click here to download the form. While filling the form, do note the following:
Fill in baby's name (if agreed) but do not fill the birth date yet; as this can only be filled after the baby is born.
The form needs to be signed by the father of your child and his signature notarized by a lawyer. Both father and lawyer should not date their signatures. Once the baby is born, you can date their signatures with a date like 5-7days after the baby's birth date.
The ID details to be filled by the father in this form should be his international passport details. You will also need a coloured photocopy of his passport page as you travel.
Hope dis helps. Cheers

mokeju: Hello NLs,
I really appreciate this thread; its been very helpful.
I'll like to ask a few questions as regards my experience/plan.
Last year I applied for US B1/B2 visa and was scheduled to attend interview in January 2013. I actually made a mistake in my application by selecting 3months instead of 3weeks. I realised this after I had submitted and couldn't make corrections. (The application was to secure visa so I could go give birth sometime in may2013). By dec 2013 I lost my pregnancy n still went ahead for the interview in jan.
The vo asked if it was my first time of travelling n I said no that have been to the UK n Switzerland. Asked how long I was going for and I said 3weeks (I was expecting him to say but u wrote 3months so I could explain myself). Also asked about my job and I answered well.i think he also asked about giving birth n I said no since I was no longer pregnant. I wasn't given the visa and was not told the reason
Why I was denied. So the issue now is I am about 4months gone and want to apply again for visa so I can go give birth next year. Am so scared of going back because I do not know what to expect.
1. My passport is expiring next year june. Am thinking of going for another one with my married name . Do u think this will affect my chances of getting the visa.
2. Am also thiking of applying with my husband- will this increase
our chances?
3. Also if one is going for birthing does one really need an invitation letter? Or do I just request fot a letter from my family saying they are willing to accomodate me or something since am not going for holiday?
4. Also am planning to go sometime in October or early november so I could save more money should incase am asked about my finances. Is it a wise decision going to d embassy at 6-7 months of pregnancy?
I'll appreciate ur honest and kind responses.
Hi. Might have a few answers, u av to go 2 Abuja to renew ur passport to ur married name, it doesn't affect ur chance if u apply with ur maiden name bla bla. Go with your marriage certificate if u decide to apply wiv ur regular passport. It's ur choice. Doesn't change anything. From my experience I just renewed my passport shortly b4 I got married so I can't go through d stress of doing anoda. We got d visa no qualms. Secondly. U shld apply with your husband, and jokingly say u need ur husband there to hold his hands wen u abt to av d baby becos he's gonna join u as at d time of ur due dat. U need an invitation letter in d city u wanna av ur baby boost ur chances dey will say u coming to stay with them and u gonna take care of all ur finances but on d oda hand u can book a long term apartment/ hotel reservation. Do a research of a hospital u intend to use print out their prices and get an appointment letter from them. They will surely check that. Ur finances and dat of ur husband will help boost ur chance. Cos dem gonna ask who is paying. U can say u both collectively. Me said my husband thou cos he earns way more Dan I do. Above all please when dey ask u wat u going to do in d us boldly tell them u going to av ur baby and u wouldn't seek any financial aid from d govt. they always give pple who tell d truth becos most ppe lie so dey re flabagasted wen u say boldly am gonna av my baby and I av d money to foot my bills. Applying at six months is good BT make sure u secure a convenient date too. I applied at 7months thou BT my belle is small. And don't be over dresses so u dnt look desperate. I hope this has helped abit. Cheers

Spoke with the hospital MIHS and their bill is as it is on their website any other story is false. A lot of Nigerians have bin there to have their baby and their testimonies have bin great. Spoke to a pediatrician in Phenix who is a Nigerian and he confirmed that the hospital is one of the cheapest and the best the only exclusion is if u are having a boy u pay an extra of abt 300$, their bill is all inclusive.. Nancy1888: hi everyone,

i want to go to the us to have my baby as well this year but very scared of what i have been hearing and reading from different people, it seems alot of people who go to the us to have there baby between 2011 and 2013 are having a hard time re entrying the country even though they pay all there medical bills.

some one was telling me she was send back at the point of arrival, this really scares me because i don't think it worth it to loose the chance of going there at all, as you might want to go there to study, visit family or just for tourism in the future.

A lot of Nigerians lie about a situation that is why some are turned back at the point of entry, all those refused visa didn't pay for all their bills. Americans are very smart, so as Nigerians the best is always say the truth and make sure at d point of entry u have at least 10k$ . And pay for all your medical bills. Some women look obviously pregnant and dey will still lie they are not etc. bottom line always tell the truth.
