Tsquare09: Thank you! I stayed for 24 hours after delivery, note I discharged myself cos I didnt want to be slapped with a $1500 per night sleeping on an uncomfortable bed. The name of the paediatrician is Abrams Jeffery and his number is 770-209-0741.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes
@MrsDan Congrats on your new born and safe return to Nigeria.
Just wanted to know.... How long did you stayed at northside after the birth? Also you said you refused the use of the nursery, you baby was in your room i guess. where you charged for the nursery bed?
I will also be glad if you can share the name and number of the pediatrician that charged $150 and the OBgyn that charged $2550
I am presently in Atlanta making plans for early second quarter comeback.
I will also send you a PM.
Thanks |

Happy New Year everyone.....so sorry for the very long silence. Had my baby in Northside Hospital Hospital Bill came to $18608 with 75% discount came slightly less than $5000 Epidural $1300 with 20% discount came to $1040 Peadiatrian was $150 cos I didnt use the on call hospital Pediatrician Obgy was $2550 whom was very expensive and not straight forward. I declined the use of nursery and refused all vaccines for the baby but got a bill of $1069ish, went back to dispute bill n it came down to $290.
Here is just a quick break down from the top of my head as I left Atlanta exactly two weeks after delivery to be home in time for Christmas. I applied n got birthcerth same day n applied for passport d day after, it was ready in 48hrs with evidence I was travelling on 23/12. I hope this helps someone to make a better decision.
Many thanks and best wishes to everyone. |

@petme13....am disgusted by the horrible way you were treated @POE. Am glad you are settling and getting the rest you need. My heart bled for your daughter. You have a right to be treated like an individual, with respect and dignity. What happened was the height of unprofessionalism, you were not breaking any law! My advice is that you write a very strong letter of complain, detailing ur experience to the immigration Dept. You can also get free legal advice from Citizens Information Bureau. All the best in all you do! |

Tvegas: Hhhmmm and you could write all that and still didn't post the POE story?. I hereby withdraw all my apologies to you , Madam I am not sorry 1 inch. If everybody collects before they give back to the thread it won't grow. Your coming back to share was a matter of probability. Telling your POE story or not won't change anything anyways, I just felt you shouldn't have sown the seed of FEAR if you aint ready to share it. Besides you are responsible for your own joy, nobody can be held responsible for it. Because of your health, I will let the matter rest. Hope you got the spreadsheet anyways? Best of luck.
Tvegas.....haba....you could easily have ignored. You have always been a gentleman. I have great respect for you... God bless u all. |
