JeSoul: (we're playing with the idea of a 10yr anniv renewal wearing the same dress/suit smiley).

First off, good luck! It'll take a lot of discipline and Gods grace for you not to add some weight after you get married, especially the woman. I'm one of those people who NEVER thought i'll add weight. Lepa for life. wink But lo and behold 2 years after the wedding i tried to wear my dress....i burst out crying at the end of the 'trial'! lol.

I bought mine when i got married 4 years ago. ONe other bride has used it since then. AT the moment i only use it for photoshoots as i'm a makeup artist. I must admit that renting a dress didnt even cross my mind at the time...but i think i probably would have.

Someone else on here said your daughter and granddaughter can wear your dress afterwards. Bull! I wouldnt have worn my mum's dress for a million dollars. With the fluffy shoulder and high neck! Im sure by the time my granddaughter comes my dress will be old school too. 'sigh'. Anyway i'm one of the lucky ones. At least my dress is not stashed somewhere at the back of the closet. grin

bonzbabe: He should chill. When the visa is ready, a text will be sent to his phone. Remember this is peak period and the embassys are full. No need for sleepless nights
Thank you! I've been a bit worried. But this post is really reassuring! smiley

olady: Hello All,
My cousin just told me his passport has not been given to him yet. After the interview at the U.S embassy for a visiting visa to America last week thursday, he was given a green ticket to go pick up his passport in Ikeja and given that Monday was a national holiday, he went to the office on Tuesday (2 business after his interview as he was told by the interviewing officer) but his passport was not ready. He has since been checking online and the status he's gotten is The current status of your passport is Origination Scan. When he calls the collection center up until today, they told him his passport is still not ready.
Has anyone had an experience like this before? Also, I want to confirm that he has been issued the visa and its just the processing that takes time if not i guess he wouldn't be given a green ticket and/or he would have been told he was denied after the interview.

Great Nairalanders please help, he's been having sleepless nights regarding this situation!

Hi there!,I'm experiencing the same thing right now. Can you please tell me how your cousin's case was sorted and how long it took before he got his passport back? Thank you!
