If you have relatives in Kaduna, you can come like two days earlier so that you can rest before reporting for the screening. Lastly, remember to be steadfast in prayer. 2 Likes |

Eminant: Candidate, below is the standard sequence for some years, Documentation On arriving the venue of the interview, some Officers are stationed to do documentation for each state and you will be giving a tag number( a blue apron with your state code and number). For example, your name on the list might be 1st but you were the 15th to arrive interview venue and you are from Kaduna, after documentation, you would be given a tag number randomly, say KD56. It is with this KD56 that you would be referred to any time your attention is needed. Documentaion usually happens on the first and second day of screening. Credentials Vetting The screening and vetting of credentials begins on the second day for those who arrived early on the first day. This is where the Officer vetting your credentials would check age disparity on your certificates, forged documents, fake certificates and so on, this takes another 2days or so. First Moment of Truth After the completion of the credential screening, the Selection Board sits and candidates with discrepancies beyond army's reasoning are called out with their state codes, marched to the their tenth or hostel, where they pack their belongings, then they are escorted with tight security out of the screening venue like thieves who have come to still the mandates of their village men. Medical Examination If you successfully scale the credential screening, the next hurdle is the almighty medical examination. Here the army have the ability to see ailments that are hereditary in your family. They also have the ability to see ailments that no other hospitals can see. Infact, they have the ability to see your potential to develop some ailments. Candidate, army can say you are positive to an ailment and immidiately you are sent home, you decide to go to Natioanl Hospital Abuja to recheck yourself only to find out you are negative to that ailment.(Children of serving and retired Generals sometimes find themselves in this shoes) Candidate only the will of God can make you scale Medical Examination. Below are some of the things you would be checked on a. Bp b. Eye sight (short and long sight) c. Flat foot d. Number of testicles( you would be unclad infront of the doctor female or male as the case may be and you would show her how many testicles you gat) e. Pile: while unclad, the doctor would ask you to cough strongly like 2 to 3 times, then you would be asked to turn your back. After that the doctor would ask you to bend down to touch your toes, so that your anus can be examined for the presence of pile. f. Urine: Urine samples are also collected to test for some ailments am not sure of. g. Blood samples are also collected to test for HIV and a host of other ailments am not sure of h. Height is also measured to ascertain you are within the range i. Teeth check j. Hernia check k. Tatoo check l. ECG m. Chest X-ray o. Fasting sugar (diabetes) And a host of others i can seem to remember. The medicals lasts for like 5 to 6 days. Second Moment of Truth After the medicals have been concluded for all states, the Selection Board converges again and the candidates unfortunate to have been detected to have one ailment or the other are called out. Usually, the calling is alphabethically. so you here, candidates if you here your number fall out. The tension in the atmosphere at this period is unexplainable. Who no go, no go know. The affected candidates are marched to their tenths to take their belongings and excorted to the gate of the venue under tight security. 3.2 Km race After the medicals, candidates are made to run the 3.2 km race under 15 minutes. After the race, candidates are grouped in cages basesd on how they arrived. in time past, the race was also used to disqualify candidates but things have changed. It seems candidates are no more disqualified based on their inability to comlete the race within 15 minutes. If the army decides to use the race as a disqualifying round, the ladies are allowed to start the race 3 minutes earlier than the males and when the 15minutes elapses, the gate of heaven is closed. Anybody outside the gate of heaven is marched to his hostel under tight security to pack his belongings, then excorted out of the training venue. I think this is the farthest i have been lucky to reach in all the screenings i have attended. I also skipped the Pschology test that comes during the medicals or after medicals where you would be asked questions that if you lie at the begining you must lie to the end. Note: every screening comes with its own modifications. Other officers are free to make corrections and additions to this piece. And I wish every applicant who made the list the very best. 5 Likes |

Stringz1: Leave am make him deh follow instruction. People in service are telling you what to do, you say army no write am, is okay. It's obvious your matter deh village square. You don use canvas colour chop all the time you get to ask Officers 1. how to cordinate yourself when you enter to face the board. (Are you to sit before you are asked to) 2. which kind questions to expect from board based on your course of study. 3. what to say when you have no idea about the question asked. Bros, during my last attempt with the revered @eclipsehemmy, @Ugo4u, @Prospect, @Deraa and a host of others at the butched dssc course 26 pro max, we had many things to worry about, the least being the colour of canvas to face board. Infact, I used a size 46.5 blue trainers because i couldn't get a white one that would not hurt my feet for the routine but had an unused white canvas, white socks and white round neck t-shirt i solely kept in order to faceboard. That is the standard. Your aim is to outsmart your village men at all cost. Some good hearted people also give out their white canvas to friends if they are dropped after medicals to help boost their chances while others wait for their friends to face board first, then they borrow the white canvas to face board. You think board members would remember they didn't state "white canvas" when awarding you marks for appearance when all your village men decide to show up with white canvas? Reason am 3 Likes |

This guy you quoted is a Lt. already and he is talking from experience and telling you the truth. Try and click on his moniker and check his contributions on this thread some years back, 2018 to be precise. He updated us on every happening pertaining the recruitment and he was more than certain he would make list but guess what he didn't, even though his father was a member of the selection board of that year in Serti Taraba. Let's even forget about his father, let's talk about the calibre of Army Generals he is privileged to know by been an ordained priest, Reason am. We both made the DSSC screening in 2021 at Falgore and guess what, upon all his connections, men who knew him and his background almost dropped him but God prevailed. Though the recruitment was later cancelled, portal was reopened for registration of that same course that was cancelled, he wrote the exam but didn't make the interview list upon all the mega connections. I, like many others who attended the cancelled recruitment didn't make the exam list of the readvertised course. To God be the Glory, he got enlisted in the last dssc course and is a serving personel. Oga, you would most likely train(if you eventually make the final list) at NDA old site with Termer 5 cadets of the Nigerian Army and they would so much disturb your life with trouble and insults. And you dare not raise an eyebrow. Bros, how you wan take survive am? This one weh you don get liver to deh ask Officer the kind of school him attend. I just pray your utterances don't buy job for you like one guy who insulted an officer on this forum some years back only to be tracked by the officer during screening. 3 Likes |

MrGood70: Next time take your time to make some research before replying people on a faceless platform. For your information, @Stringz1 is already an officer and he is trying to bring you back to reality. You should count yourself privileged to be talking to this people. I don't know how strong your supposed godfather is, but if Army wan f**k you up, they would during medicals and there is nothing you can do about it. E get sickness weh army go dash you weh your godfather no go fit talk again. Note: Biological children of serving Generals are dropped during screening talkmore of a godfathered candidate. It's not bad to have someone fronting for you but keep it low-key and keep praying everything works in your favour. 6 Likes |

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Linkedin, Indeed And Others Are They Real And Useful? by MrSuama(m): 3:17am On Jan 24 |
#dboY1123 I read your post and kept wondering either to reply you or not. But something kept telling me to reply you. Below is my own humble contribution. Yes you can get both teaching and remote jobs on LinkedIn but you have to be ready to put in the work. As a graduate of Chemistry Education, you ought not to be out of job for this long. Get your TRCN and start somewhere. But you actually have to know the schools to look out for. Your target should be schools belonging to Association of International School Educators of Nigeria(AiSEN). This schools run British and American curriculum and pay preety well. They are scattered all over Nigeria and you should be willing to relocate. I have been teaching Biology for over a decade but I am regretting not getting a PGDE, TRCN and IGCSE certification because of the numerous opportunities I have missed. I never even knew education had evolved into a high paying job not until recently. I mean schools paying as much as 200k to 300k at entry level with other incentives That same mistake is what I don't want for you. With the above certifications and experience in one of this high-brow schools, you can go international and teach in schools such as the Qatar International School who are currently seeking a chemistry teacher(https://www.qisweb.qis.org/careers/) or the Brampton Manor Academy UK who recruit international teachers just to mention a few. I found all this schools and more on LinkedIn. Have you also heard about the Charterhouse Lagos school presently recruiting staff for its take off in September 2024? Baba, don't sleep on that B.Ed certificate. Last year, I came across an old thread that talked about the untapped potential in the education industry and I began to make research on this AISEN and British curriculum schools, my brother, I was more than surprised. I joined a very active teachers forum on telegram (@Teaching Job Alert) where vacancies of many Champions League schools are advertised and soon started sending out applications. Because of my years of experience and well crafted applications, I have attended many GoogleMeet interviews with about 3 offers in Ondo State with a starting salary of about 70k with accommodation inclusive. My most recent interview is from one school in Lekki/Ajah with accommodation and a starting salary of about 100k. They are also offering to train and fund my IGCSE certification. That's how to grow ooo, start somewhere to position yourself for growth. Also, you can earn certificates that would enable you transition into school management roles. This is yet another untapped aspect of the ignored education gold mine. On the contrary, if you have made up your mind to pursue remote jobs on LinkedIn, Indeed and Upwork, you need to acquire some IT skills and training and you may find this appealing https://web.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100076595988886 All the best bro as you continue to search for your daily bread. #No Gree for Unemployment. 2 Likes |
