Isn't this what people had been asking for coaches to try with Martinez for a while now.

ETH tried it with Martinez at Ajax. He was horrible. Maybe donut midfield was to blame but Martinez is not mobile enough to play in the midfield.

I think you are not profiling this guy right.
From the clips, reports, and the analytical websites he is a CM/DM who mainly plays CM. He is not a Bruno replacement.

That is if without having doubts about his ability to thrive in the EPL.

He is more of a Kobbie competitor.

In our recent history we have been so prone to misprofiling players. Sancho, McTom even Ugarte etc. we really need to ensure we avoid that because getting the right profile is just as important as the quality of the player.

I'm 1000% behind Carrick. Lets hope we get the summer transfers in and out right.

Anderson, Mainoo, Mateus Fernandes, Gomes. That is a decent 4some to choose the 2 starting CMs from, and i think you can use any 2 of them together.

I've put my mind off Anderson. The city links are too strong. I think he's going there. Would gladly have the others mentioned but not sure who else in place of Anderson.

I honestly thing Carrick has extracted the maximum possible from this squad. There are so many limitations to this squad and if they are not addressed in the summer no great manager will have these guys competing for titles.

Dont like this lineup. No way these mugs will help Bruno break that record.

He's not skilful or technically gifted.
He's not strong
He's not exceptional
He's not a long range passer
He's not kante or modric

He just does the simple things and does them good enough.

Will he get into a city or real Madrid or Barcelona or Bayern or psg second 11 he'll no.. but then again what do I know.

Chelsea don already sack Rosenior

The issue with spending big money on young players like that its just too risky. Especially with young defensive players. A signing like Heaven makes way more sense because if he doesn't develop the right way then you don't lose much. But spending 50m on a young defender from another league that needs a lot of development and adjustment just sounds like a terrible idea. Now Yoro could still go on to be an excellent defender for many years to come for us but as it stands he isnt more likely to than Heaven who costs us £1m. We should not be making that type of signing ever again.

I think that's our 3rd league win in about 25 years. The expectation is very high at United. Its pretty much perfection required every single match. I'm not sure we could have done much better than that considering Casemiro's limitation in midfield and our makeshift defence.

Great win. clean sheet. Nice goal. rare league win at Stamford bridge is always lovely.
