Not enough physicality and atheletism from Wharton. If we wanted Wharton we would not have signed Tielemans. We need elite physicality in that midfield now. Santos,Kobbie and Tielemans can still get overpowered by a lot of midfields in the league.

I also had the same thoughts as Carragher. I like my CBs tall, strong and fast. I know Cannavaro wasn't tall strong or fast as well but CBs with that profile are fewer and less likely to succeed.

Lisandro is a real elite ball playing defender.

The transfer fee was the impact I meant. And since FIFA will now pay Ugarte's wages, that might help with Wage space but maybe Mount would be the one on the chopping block. I heard rumours of him being linked with Amorim at AC Milan. Although I doubt they'll take on his wages.

Looks like we cant sell Ugarte anymore this summer due to his serious injury. Hopefully he recovers well and can continue his career at a good level. I wonder how that will change the thinking of the midfield signings.
