These clueless morons in charge have sacked Carrick the manager and replaced him with Carrick the interim manager till they figure out who they will appoint next. No planning no ideas just completely clueless. They have really killed this club.

He has a shin injury. It was clearly mismanaged over the summer by the club and they've made the situation worse. The whole situation has been a complete disaster as usual when you consider how the club handles things in general.

A defence can cope with 1 of them and might survive having 2 of them but having 3 of them together is crap overload.

Lets not forget Lisandro. His comments today were right because he would not be starting for any serious club with big ambitions. Only so long you can depend line breaking passes from the defence when you're an average defender on a good day.

You are right. This is why he is asking the club to deregister him so he can be free to register with another club. We can dig in our heels and keep him until the end of the season, but what would be the point?

Call his bluff. He cannot hold the club to ransom. if he doesnt want to play any football for the rest of the season that's up to him but he cant just refuse to train and ask to be deregistered without consequence.

He doesnt have a pro contract. he's 15. we just own his registration so we cannot sell him. but I dont think he can be registered somewhere else anyway until the end of the season. I think.

These 2 sentences contradict eachother. You want us to sign another GK to compete with Lammens but then mention City who never signed a GK to compete with the ones you mentioned but to replace them because they felt they werent good enough. Pep arrived at City and immediately said Hart was not good enough for him so didnt give him a chance. signed Bravo who had a poor season and was immediately replaced by Ederson. Who was the main stay for years before selling him and replacing him first with Trafford before Donnarumma was available and then they signed him. So the instances are not comparable at all.

My comment was simply that I'd have preferred Martinez over Lammens, since that could've kickstarted the backline overhaul the same way signing an experienced keeper did back in 2005 after all the goalie heartbreak ( Caroll, Howard etc.) I don't know how that turned into 'that's why we lost today' or 'that's our major issue.'

I expect some bots to start tagging me every time Martinez concedes a goal or makes a mistake.

I personally don't see Lammens as an issue. But I don't rate Martinez personally. He can make big saves but he has a lot of high profile errors too. The issue in the team is the defence is not agile enough. We will concede a ridiculous amount of goals this season. Already 6 goals in 3 games is terrible.

The window is 8/10. The key area was midfield and they brought in 3 personnels. A left back like hall would have made it 10/10 but Shaw, Dorgu, Dalot and Maza can cover that area. Ugarte injury and Rashford staying meant we couldn't get more funds from selling.

I would agree to disagree. To me its a 6/10 and that is being very generous. But I guess time will tell how well the new signings do. Even though its Carrick that will carry most of the blame.

I would rate our summer window as a 6/10. Its been a very disappointing window that just got over 6 just because of Baleba. We didn't address the LB. the midfield signings are ok in terms of numbers but in terms of personnel are again just ok. And Carrick will carry the blame for underachieving when ineos didn't do enough in Improving the squad.

Even before the AC Milan match. We have looked undercooked. certainly squad wise. Our main striker has not kicked a ball in preseason. and we have just seemingly raised the floor level but not the top level of our squad.

The problem is that, in addition to the signings we’ve made already, we need:
- An LB
- A DM
- A backup Striker
- An LW (if we can offload Rashford)
- Potentially another senior CB (if Martinez and De Ligt keep competing with the Resident Surgeon for Tenure at the clinic)


That’s like 5 signings and these days, everybody costs €100 million. We don’t have €500m to spend in one window so we are forced to be smart in the market.

Personally, I would like us to look for value signings for backup striker and LB and splurge on DM and LW

Backup striker. we could definitely do worse than Welbeck.

We also need a CB and a striker this window.

Lisandro and De Ligt's fitness is too unreliable to gamble with an increased schedule.

Zirkzee will never been a top striker. We need to sell him and get a better striker to compete with Sesko who's fitness seems dodgy too.

Just a shame my boy Kobbie wasted his time at this tournament when he could have been resting for the new season. Jts glad he's not among those to be blamed for England's defeat.
