afrodoc2: If he had made better contact, it would have been a definite red. He is lucky. Even as it was. It was still a red card. We got lucky because Dalot wanted to kill the performance for us. |

I hope Dalot leaves the club the summer. He has been an absolute liability for too long. In both attack and defence. Just an awful player all round. |

spillo1: That post is full of misinformation and revisionism.
*Haaland rejected us and chose Dortmund instead.
*We were the highest-spending club in the entire league during Ole’s tenure.
*Ole himself prioritized Sancho over Grealish.
Twitter is a cesspool of agenda ridden post and am surprised you swallowed it. I agree with everything except Haaland. Do you have evidence that Haaland rejected? I believe the reason we didn't sign him was because we wouldn't agree to his contract demands which included several clauses the club were not happy with. Which is why he went to City for around £55m and some hefty fees for his father and agent. This came from Ole because he said he was the one to told the club about Haaland before he was even our manager. |

TrebleChamp: We need better midfielders, fullbacks and a LW, and hope we get some this January. Carrick should make loan signing for midfielders this January if we cannot sign our main targets, Sesko has 3 goals in back to back matches and will further enjoy Bruno playing his natural attacking midfield role. The attack is good enough to see out the season.. There will be no signings in january. |

I'm especially excited about Dalot. Looking forward to how the new system brings the best out of him Who's the coach that's going to do this? |

Lana1: Analysts have said that Ajayi's handball wasn't a penalty because according to Fifa rules if the ball bounces off the body onto the hand then it is not a penalty.
But when this ball bounced off Martinez's leg onto his arm, which was closer to his body than Ajayi's, the ref didn't hesitate to give a penalty and he didn't even consult VAR.
This just proves that these refs pick and choose when and how they want to apply the rules Yes. Refs have been a disgrace overall. We also had this in a game against spurs where Romero had the exact same as Martinez and the oen was not given correctly I should add but I was still pissed Martinez was penalised wrongly not long before that. At least be consistent. |

patrickmuf: Any manager who knows what he is doing would not sit back and watch his employers change the terms of a contract midway through his engagement.
In Amorim’s case, however, he is not without blame. We expected the club to move on from the likes of Shaw, Mount, Casemiro, Maguire, and others who were either not good enough or too injury-prone. Instead, Amorim came in and immediately took to Mount like a father to a son, constantly reminding us that Mount is a manager’s delight. The same Amorim made Dalot one of the team leaders and a guaranteed starter. So, who exactly is to be blamed? When we received a very good offer for Bruno, Amorim was quoted by Bruno as saying he wanted him to stay at the club, which was one of the factors that convinced Bruno to reject a move to Saudi Arabia.
What about Maguire and Casemiro? It was still Amorim who pushed for their continued retention. Now I ask: how exactly do you expect us to keep these players on high wages and still go on to spend money on new players? Take our defence, for instance. We have Maguire, De Ligt, Licha, Heaven, Yoro, and Shaw, all capable of playing at centre-back. That is five to six players for the CB position, even though we are not participating in any European competition.
The same thing would have happened in midfield if we had signed additional players to add to the ones we already have. Mainoo hardly got a look in, yet Amorim blocked his exit from the club. I now understand why the board were keen to relegate him from manager to head coach, but he believed he was good enough to be the manager rather than just a head coach. He was never relegated. he was announced as Head Coach by the club in all official communications and was always listed as Head Coach. |
