There’s a level of idiocy in a player that can never be coached away. Bring in Pep and Fergie, the same thing will happen.

Yes, you can point at individual players. Amorim needs to go. And several players made glaring mistakes too (Magwaya and Bayindir majorly). Two things can be right at the same time.

Yes you're right that both players and manager can be bad but I'm not convinced a better manager won't get more out of this same squad of players.

I don't think we can point at individual players. They can't all be bad. They may not be as good as we want them to be but they are not all bad players.

Amorim needs to go. The longer ineos waits the worse it gets.

Unless ETH begs me he wont be successful in another top job again. I cant believe he sold Alvaro Carreras without giving him a chance.

How many of you rated gravenbech and szclobalzal or whatever his name is before Liverpool used them to win league. It's only at United fans keep making excuses for the coaches. A good coach would use that midfield options and finish top 4.

I'm not making any excuses for anyone. Amorim should have been sacked after the europa league final. he's completely out of his depth.

I'm not sure the squad is right for that formation. The midfield personnel in particular doesnt look like it'll work with that.

I dont know who will fix us but I would like to see Iraola given a shot.

When he came on vs Burnely towards the end,his aerial prowess was the only "positive" i saw.

I am still of the opinion that Amorim wasnt a 100 in support of his purchase....same with Lammens.

Both acquisitions are looking like SRJ/Berrada ideas like we saw with Hojlund and Zirkzee.

I think the opposite. I dont trust Amorim to recognise a talented player even if you smacked him in the face with a 22 year old Messi. Even Hojlund looks far worse than he did under ETH and ETH was clueless.

Amorim has Sesko looking like 70m Wout Weghourst. Maybe we should get Holjund back when Amorim gets sacked.
Mbeumo still needs a few more weeks to look like an Amorim player. He still looks better than all his teammates at the moment. sticks out like a sore thumb.

DDG was the best in his days but when the law of diminishing returns set in, there's nothing he could do.

It was particularly hard for me. Finidi is my favourite Super Eagle of all time so I really wanted him to succeed and its very hard for me to criticise him.

It is easy to come here and say there is nothing wrong with the formation, but at the end of the day, 3 pts is all that counts and that is what we got yesterday...

I have defended Amorim on this board for quite some time, but he doesn't seem to learn. Against the top teams, when we play with 3 CBs, we look very dangerous because we sit deep (Community defending) and hit them on the break...Against weaker teams who will rather park the bus, the whole essence of parading 3 CBs is defeated because for the most part of the game, they are left with little to do. If they're not contributing to our forward play, it will make more sense to replace a CB with a CF and let us have a Bruno - Casemiro - Mount/Mainoo/Zirkzee midfield supporting the attack...

At several instances yesterday, Shaw, De Ligt and Yoro had just one CF to contend with, but the 3 of them spent most of the game camped in our half instead of pushing high up the pitch to join the play or press the Burnley midfielders...

100%. The formation has a fundamental flaw especially for a team with our aspirations. Its ok in the odd match against the better teams but outside of that it doesn't help the players enough.

Thank God. No man utd match for the next two weeks.

Amorim is a top coach. He is gonna excel at another club and he ain't gonna lack suitors. Let's keep calm, season is still new.
