Camera is a killer. I dont know why there was an argument about this some weeks ago.. Tried it in a well lit shopping mall that had enough led lights.. Camera was to die forrrrrrr.. Like wowww 9/10 I swear. Portrait performed wonders.

Also if u are a gamer u must have noticed something especially with old apps nd games that work in landscape mode.. A huge part under the bottom close to d chin. Is cut out.. Like double d size of d chin is cut out of d screen and turned into black.. The top notch side too part is cut out,. Iono how to describe it ... D game or app won't full d screen sha.. It will just cut a big chunk out.. Its very irritating to view.. Happened on NBA 2k17.... And some oda game forgotten d name. I was thinking of deleting it self. It was frustrating.. It was using a lower resolution to display d game..
So d fix- just go to where u see full screen gesture or something like dat. Look for full screen apps.
U get to a section where u can turn apps to display with the whole screen..
It will show u some apps that are optimized for full screen display and some others that are not..
Just tick it and boom full screen..

Fifa 16 ultimate team became full screen.
NBA 2k17 became full screen.

I would have posted screen shots but I neva fully switch to the phone..

Xiaomi’s Redmi is now a sub-brand, 48MP smartphone teased for launch

Huawei kicked off the trend of sub-brands with Honor back in 2013, and 2018 saw other players jump on the trend as well. Now, Xiaomi has announced that it’s turning its Redmi range into a sub-brand.



The company made the announcement via an image on its official website, confirming that we’d learn more at a January 10 press conference (at 2PM local time).

A closer look at the image also reveals the number 4,800 in the shadows. Chinese entities (such as TENAA) occasionally use this convention for megapixels, with 1,200 referring to 12MP and 500 referring to 5MP. So it looks like the first device under the Redmi sub-brand will pack a 48MP camera. It could also potentially refer to battery size, but Xiaomi traditionally sticks to a 4,000mAh battery for its larger Redmi phones.

We don’t know how this new device will fit in with the rest of the Redmi range. It could potentially be a sequel to Xiaomi’s Redmi Pro (its first dual-camera phone), a Redmi 7 Pro, or even an all-new Redmi family. It’s also unclear whether this is the same 48MP phone teased by Xiaomi last month. That tease showed us the “48MP” branding as well as a massive camera bump.

In any case, the decision to make Redmi a sub-brand is a rather interesting move, as the brand is responsible for most of Xiaomi’s shipments in the first place. This could mean greater autonomy for the division’s device and business strategy, while still taking advantage of Xiaomi’s supply chain and research efforts.

It wouldn’t be the first time Xiaomi went down this road either, having already launched the Pocophone sub-brand last year. Hopefully it’s still business as usual for the Redmi family in general, as these devices consistently offer amazing value for money in the low-end price bracket. We’ll just have to wait a week to find out…

Camera in d afternoon is more detailed than d CX
Night too..

Selfie camera is not 100% on both in low light. But Redmi is a bit better in some situations. But d CX handles light shining into d screen better. Like from a bulb.

Also there's a neat trick in settings.
U can turn your foolish earpiece and turn it to a bad ass.. In settings forgotten where u get to and u see different pictures of earpiece ..just shuffle between dem and listen to d bassssssss... If money dey na to buy one of d earpiece listed there. D sound go mad gan.

Battery life is good. On medium brightness 40 minutes and 7 or 6% or so gone. Music and update nd googleplay undate involved too.. It can go a whole day with light browsing.
Gets warm at the top sometimes close to d fingerprint.
And emmmm
Colours from d screen isn't popping out its just a bit washed out but still nice sha.. It brings out a better colour contrast in videos.. Cases where someone will look orangy on one phone.. It looks very colour accurate on d note 6 pro.. But sometimes dat popping colour is missed.
Popping colours like d ones we see in Samsung screens..

My camon CX camera beats it in low light back camera. Speaker wise I'll say they are same so I expect the new techno phones to be on par with dis in terms of speaker. The notch is nice. The bezels are nonexisting when u are pressing the phone. Cause u are focused on d screen. Wen watching videos u would see how massive it is.. It looks 100% like an iphone x.. Pun intended.
Now I have to worry about how I'll tell people am using a Mi phone

Screen sharpness. Since d CX has a smaller screen expect popping out colours. I set it on vivid tho so am still looking for d setting to put it on vivid on d note 6 pro. Thats if it has..
Fingerprint is nice.

The music lock screen effect is really nice.
