Use WiFi or check if you've restricted the updater from data usage.
Funny thing is I have been using WiFi at work to update all I've been updating.

First time of trying to use sim data still not updating and it's now affecting my Google play store. Sometimes the apps via play store update other times they don't. Still have a lot of apps, apart from the MIUI 11.0.8.0 to update. I've checked all the settings, cleared cache and tried Airtel still same thing.

undecided

My friend wants to buy a phone but he's confused and idk what to tell him.
The redmi note 8 pro or redmi note 9 pro max( He says he MIGHT be able to wait for the release)
He's a gamer just like me but were unsure on the performance of the 9 pro max on games.

Any advice?

He'd be good with either, but a larger battery and a more efficient SoC on the RN9s/Pro (or Pro max) means he'd be able to game for longer periods of time before he needs to charge.

Sidenote: Since the 720G is a relatively new SoC, some games would not be optimised for it yet. Take that into consideration before we start to hear A9 lags at low settings. tongue

I see.
Checked out the bench mark scores and the note 8 had a higher one by a reasonable margin.

I have a theory for the RN9 from this info from a leaked LG midranger.

https://m.gsmarena.com/upcoming_lg_phone_passes_by_geekbench_with_new_qualcomm_processor_8gb_ram_-news-42488.php

It carries an SD SoC that is slightly weaker than the 720G and could be one of four upcoming chipsets by Snapdragon. Since the Helio G series were plaqued by heating issues, it could be reasonable that Redmi would want to eliminate that problem completely on the Note series by using a SD chipset.

Leaks suggest that the Redmi 9 will ship with a Helio G80, so....I dunno.

Just my thoughts.

I'm on the latest update bro. Asphalt 9 you are playing is on medium settings, try changing the settings to high the game would be unplayable. Asphalt 8, even to apply high settings you would not be able to apply
I don't play PUBG, I play call of duty and it runs flawlessly

Guy, I say I'm playing it in High graphics without lags. We use the same phone doesn't mean we would get the same experience. That's not difficult to understand. Clear cache, reboot your phone, free up space, check your network.

Redmi Note 5 India = Redmi 5 Plus Global/China
Redmi Note 5 Pro India = Redmi Note 5 AI for China/Global

Hope your confusion have been cleared or amplified?

they are basically the same ,RN5 ai was made for the global and Chinese market while RN5 pro was made for the Indian market, I think the only different was the difference in rom (Chinese ROM/global ROM and Indian rom) and front camera

There is a Redmi Note 5 for the Indian market which was called Redmi 5 plus everywhere else

I can confidently confirm to you that Anymote apk works flawlessly with Strong and even DSTV Decoders. I've used it for that, Samsung tv/ac, LG TV, Panasonic ac and a whole lot of other appliances. It's in fact better than the Mi Remote.
Maybe there's something you are not doing right.
But it surely works.
