I want to unofficially welcome all prospective corps members posted to Ebonyi state. I am a serving 2013 Batch C corps member and one thing I can say for sure is that Ebonyi state is a good place. Just be open minded and you'll have a swell service year. I haven't seen any snakes since I came and haven't met any one who has seen any yet. Hopefully, I'll be in Afikpo camp with you guys. Do have a lovely stay.

Funny Ebonyi people. God help you, u wear khaki or nysc brooch go market na there u go know say khaki no be leather. Market men and women will double or triple the price of their wares. Although the state is peaceful, I think most Ebonyians are lazy ( from observation,I stand to be corrected).

omotee4u2002: INVESTMENT IN LOCAL RICE SALE IN NIGERIA

Introduction
In line with vision 20:20 of the government and looking at the plan of the government to end rice importation in Nigeria by 2014. We have decided to embark on the distribution and sale of local rice. We shall encourage rice farmers by purchasing the products from them and selling at the urban market.
Aims & Objectives
1. To encourage consumption of made in Nigeria rice
2. To boost Agriculture in Nigeria
3. To assist in reduction of unemployment in Nigeria
4. To encourage farmers through the demand of their products
Focus
Our focus shall be on Brown Rice (Ofada Rice). This is a brand of rice consumed in the southwest but scarce in the urban area. The high demand of this product encourages us to go into its marketing.
Modalities
• Purchase the product from available farmers in the southwest
• Repackage the product in a more effective branded bag
• Sell at the urban market
Market
Urban cities in Lagos and other parts of the country, possibly an export of the product once we break even.
Profit Estimation
It is highly profitable because demand is high. It sells at a higher cost than the normal rice . therefore we can breakeven as soon as possible .
Personnel needed
1. Sellers of the raw materials
2. Printing & packaging company
3. Distributors & marketers
