Education / Re: Eight Highest-Paying Courses In Nigeria by MT: 7:16pm On May 08
God1000:
If you believe that some courses are irrelevant in Nigeria, I will not disagree. Some even argue that even before the internet existed, these courses were what they are now. They aren’t just feasible. The spread of digitisation and technical innovation has made some fields more demanding. Yes, everyday discoveries tend to relinquish the importance of so many fields in schools. Notwithstanding, some courses are still performing exceptionally well in the labour market—both profitable and useful.

It is no more about course you study.

It is about how skilled you are in your chosen craft.

The world has changed, and the world is always screaming for "real life problem solvers" and not paper tigers.

It was gathered that pastor Emmanuel was shot dead inside the church on Friday, May 3, 2024.

He will be laid to rest on Tuesday, May 7 in Upah Gure district.

Why are you guys always quick to share bad news about your own country.

No where is safe in the world.

Last week, a man killed a 13-year old in London with a sword. The Brits did not destroy their country standing before the world.

What do you gain by intentionally destroying the ONLY country which you can call you own?

Why is it so easy for Governors to divert people's money?

The system is full of holes and the public servants are the one helping the Governor to explore the holes in the system.

This is one of the reasons they do not allow automation in their processes.

poor performance of student in 2024 utme examination. who is to be blamed? Parents, teachers , student.
let's discuss.

All of them are to be blamed.

Parents - for willingly paying for cheating on behalf of their wards.

Teachers - For being poor in teaching and rather prefer to show the students answers during exam.

Student - For not being serious with their lives but rather rely on their parents paying for them to pass.

Government - For not providing enabling environment, for being poor on robust policies and for not punishing students, teachers and parents enough if found culpable.

Shocking moment In Oakland, California, a person wearing a mask stole more than 40 brand-new iPhones from a store. It happened during the day, and many people were there, but nobody stopped the thief. shocked

The thief moved quickly, grabbing iPhones and putting them in his pants. Nobody did anything to stop him. Once he had enough, he ran out and drove away in a car.

It's a law in California never to attempt to arrest a thief.

Just report to the police.

You can be sued for illegal obstruction of movement in California.

Make una dey know which kind fable to dey tell us, we are still making use of our senses.

How would he withdraw $720k from the state cover with the memo of paying his kids school fees?

Modified: The amount is not the issue here but the ridiculous excuse the EFCC gave for the withdrawal.

Yahaya Bello can't be dumb to put such memo in the withdrawal receipt

Read between the lines.

EFCC simply followed the figure. They did not indicate that they saw it written in a memo.

This is the time a genuine sense needs to be applied to understand issues.

Politics / Re: Passport Renewal: Proof Of Citizenship Mandatory – NIS by MT: 7:05pm On Apr 21
Baxilexi:
The Minister in charge should have a rethink about this policy. Proof of indigenship is an outmoded means of identification. Especially in a country where falsification of documents is a trade.

Whether or not someone is an indigene shouldn’t be the question. What should matter is if those living on this soil called Nigeria are worthy to be Nigerian passport holders, and called citizen and a pathway should be shown.

I align with former VP Osinbajo’s proposition to scrap state of origin and replace it with date of birth. We need to blur ethnic lines as they do us no good.

Subsequently, NIN should be treated like SSN. As early as at the period of birth it should be issued along with birth certificates.

Well articulated
Politics / Re: Passport Renewal: Proof Of Citizenship Mandatory – NIS by MT: 7:02pm On Apr 21
Lot of nationals from other countries easily hold Nigeria passport. Nigeria Immigration officers are complicit

Many foreigners spend 20 years before they can obtain citizenship in another western countries via complex processes.

Nigeria needs more robust system to verify the citizenship aside this local govt documentation. Local Govt staffers will get bribed and issue this document to someone from Togo easily. Even in Ghana, it's so difficult getting their passport, why is ours different as a nation ?.

Of course, the police will cash out on people with coconut heads. Who can't open simple law.

I attended my godson wedding yesterday in ikoyi . ..

Nobody date to spray the juju musician money. They have a designated bowls, where people drop the money or give the cash to the singer.

I even wonder why people give extra money to the musicians after they have been paid for their services by the celebrant.

Is that not stupidity in a bid to show off?

People will start whistle blowing. So any sensible person won't dare spray money .

The police are already cashing out.

They go to.parties in plain clothes, record the spraying of money at event on their phones and effect arrest after the party.

You can figure out the story always ends when the culprit gets to the station.

Don't lose your money in a bid to impress the world that doesn't really care about you after the party.

Don't think EFCC will always appear with their red jackets.

Police are the real winners here.

Imagine if a tournament was being hosted in Nigeria and traditional worshipers were recorded praying to Sango, Amadioha, Ifa...etc for a successful tournament.

I can assure you that the highest online bashing they'll receive would be from Nigerians.

But watch how everyone would smile and keep shut cos whites are involved. Most Africans are suffering from slave mentality.
.

You are so spot on.

Africans look the other ways when the whites are involved or create a silly excuse for them.

Most africans are subservient to the whites, and they see themselves as inferior to the whites by default.
