Foreign Affairs › If You Support Trump Action In Venezuela, Respond To These by MT(op): 2:16pm On Jan 04 |
Please educate me without being disrespectful.
1. Why would US violate the international order, which the US largely created, by militarily and unilaterally attacking Venezuela, a sovereign state?
2. What law does the US rely on to kidnap a sitting President?
3. If drug was an issue, why has Trump not attacked Mexico, which has no oil and it’s close neighbour, as well as a big player in drug trafficking?
4. Why did Trump not get authorisation - thus violating US constitution - from the congress who constitutionally had to approve any US military kinetic action outside the country ?
5. When does it become acceptable that a country has to govern another country and still sit on their resources?
6. If drug was the issue, Why did Trump pardon a former president of Honduras who trafficked million of dollars worth of drugs into the US, convicted and serving jail?
7. Does Trump action supports or destroys how democracy works , which the US sells to the whole world? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: We Will Never Again Be A Colony Of Any Empire, Venezuela's Vice President by MT: 2:11pm On Jan 04 |
lecowas: That "whole president" ran a drug cartel like a common criminal, that whole president refused to hand over to opposition after losing the election, that whole president is a dictator who completely silenced every opposition.
The opposition leader had to disguise to leave the country to collect her Nobel peace prize, and finally the whole president was given multiple chance but thought Russia and China would help. So here we are and this is the story of Solomon Grundy Nicholas Maduro Let’s assume everything you stated was right, will you say two wrongs make a right? Why would US violate the international order by attacking Venezuela? What law does the US rely on to kidnap a sitting President? If drug was an issue, why has Trump not attacked Mexico, which has no oil, and a big player in drug trafficking? Why did Trump not get authorisation from the congress who constitutionally had to approve any military kinetic action ? When does it become acceptable that a country has to govern another country and still sit on their resources? America is going bankrupt.
Check their debt profile. It’s quite unsustainable.
They are looking for resources anywhere and everywhere to plug the dark hole.
Daylight robbery, it is |

Buccalcavity2: Shocking! So America should lift fingers on other countries? How's that different from alleged Maduro's sin? Make una dey think this things through. This is a terrible precedence! Let nobody ask why Russia invades Ukraine nor China Taiwan. Its all bullshit! Stop wasting your time on most people on this platform who know next to nothing. Leave them to their ignorance. |

APOPTOSIS: If you understand how the United States is built you won't be typing this. That's the only country in the world built by every tribe on the planet. Don'tbe shocked the U.S. could have more Cubans living in it than in the real Cuba itself 🤣🤣🤣. How can you fight a country built by everyone with every single tribe still residing in it? I am an American. So, who are you? I am not pleased with the way my tax payer money is being spent. You have no dog in the race. Rest! |

You will be on the US soil, you will still be asking for a direction to your proverbial America. Trump is now in the business of nation building. I laugh. How is this America first?. He promised his followers there wont be any US intervention outside the US. Trump is such a red-faced liar. |

FreeIgboho: Afghanistan is a much tougher country with suicide bombers, how come nobody "fought to death" until US decided to pull out because they were wasting too much resources occupying it? The US pulled out because they were losing men and got frustrated. Afghanistan was unwinnable for them. |

Berankis: You people are exaggerating this US. The same US that Chickens when it comes to Russia or China or North Korea. Why didn't they stop Russia from invading Ukraine then, even after luring Ukraine to a conflict and backing down when the show began. They know the countries they mess with and they know ones they can't fcukk with. All the places they have done their criminal intervention, how many of it ended well? This is how we praise nonsense and condone evil until we become victims. Most of them have not owned a passport not to talk of getting into the US. Too much Hollywood movie has finished them. |

It was an invasion by the US. You will see how this will play out. Venezuelans will not allow Trump to steal their oil. |

splendournoni: This is not Hollywood movie... I always keep telling people that don't understand what world power is, for so long the US under democrats have made US look weak.... The Technology, intelligence and military equipments of the US is more than what we could think of imagine...
In a short video of trump in his office he said "I'm afraid to see weapons the United states have and I pray we don't come where we need to use them" Every country has this element of surprise. US is a military heavy weight but China is fast catching up. China has more naval ships than the US right now. |

HacheNoire: The country is going to degenerate! That’s how it plays out in every country.
That is definitely a constant. Different pro and anti militias will spring up! Especially from Columbia who have perfected the art of Guerilla fighting. If Trump thinks it will be as easy as he made it sound, he should think again. Now the real war starts. |

seunmsg: Wow! Just wow! It’s a crime to be weak in this world. If you’re not powerful, don’t stand in the way of the powerful.
Again, kudus to President Tinubu for opting for diplomacy in resolving Nigeria’s issue with Donald Trump. We must do everything not to ever be in the same situation as Venezuela.
Sadly, the ordinary folks in Venezuela will be the biggest losers of this regime change. The Americans will come in, milk the country dry and then abandon them to another American backed puppet dictator. For the common man, it’s the same story. Nothing ever gets better. You are very right, especially with the first paragraph. That is why there will be a race towards nuclear weapon for weak nations to protect themselves against the bigger Nations. |

cr7lomo: Maduro has been treating the citizens like crap ...chavez destroyed their economy like buhari and handed over to his guy maduro and that one. Continued from where chavez stopped....dictators that act like they practice democracy ...do whatever they like , rig elections and try to hide under the guise of sovereignty and fake democracy ...turning their country to a one party system buy judges , select rubber stamp legislators ....and they think no one can do them anything.... they kill and arrest protesters silent opposition and feel untouchable.... steal so much wealth meant fir the country to enrich themselves and think they will always get away with it.... since people like Tinubu have their playbook and think he is untouchable...Trump will also come for him.... as a convicted drug Lord that he is .... This will be my last rebuttal to you as it’s quite clear you either do not understand the global rules countries play by or you are ignorant of it. It will be a waste of time. Even the US did not accuse Maduro of all you typed . US govt simply accused him of pushing drugs into the US. Let’s assume it holds true, does that justify kidnapping a sitting president just because the US have the military assets to do it? . US had done this before - against the then sitting Panama president which the US arrested in 1989 but it was even In a different context. Panama was at war with the US. Trump has ratcheted it up by kidnapping a sitting president whose country was not at war with the US . Trump didn’t even seek congressional approval for this military action as he should. How is he different from Maduro - they are both tyrants. The international world order is being assaulted by the same country that largely created it. |

Deepthoughts: But you people don't see anything wrong with what Putin is doing to Ukraine? Both Putin’s Russia and Trump’s US violated the international law. US especially lacks moral right to condem Russia action in Ukraine as it stands. Even Spain has just released a statement that countries should respect international laws. Who are we without laws? Barbarians? |

Ghostagain: So their allies can be invaded by the USA and they will do nothing at all. What is the point of being allies with china? Why shouldn't countries just ignore china and do whatever USA wants ?
Taiwan is never reuniting with mainland, china is too cowardly.
At this point, china is becoming irrelevant to countries which are not military heavyweights. Only Russia and perhaps North Korea can make any use of China's alliance.
BRICS is dead ! China only offers economic cooperation. They never promise to defend their allies militarily. |

Archworld: Ok
Because they can't. Only US can do it . I wish Trump can capture Tinubu , VP and the full national assembly members. Nigeria needs fresh air . Russia and China, you guys are useless right now, it's understandable with Russia being at war
alrezdy, but what is China's excuse ? China doesn’t meddle in internal affairs of any country. That has always been their slogan. |

cr7lomo: Sovereignty my foot.... when power intoxicated u to the extent that u treat ur citizens like crap.. the judiciary and legislative doing the bidings of the executive and the rich .... this is the result... Rigging of elections and thinking u are untouchable...Tinubu. u are next...just rig 2027 and receive Trumps force So to you the US is a saint. With all the atrocities committed by Trump, should he be anywhere near the White House? US happens to be the first country that has a felon occupying the highest seat in the land. Every other countries respect their internal affairs. So the US had moved the world to an era where mightier countries could change government of another countries as they deem fit. Like US, like Russia. What a shame! Is that how democracy which they preach to other part of the world works? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: US Has Captured Venezuelan President Maduro & His Wife - Trump by MT: 10:47am On Jan 03 |
Quite condemnable.
Trump’s US violated the sovereignty of Venezuela. The US keeps wielding military might against lesser powerful countries. This is an act of bullying.
Is this how democracy works?
UN will sit and say nothing - such a useless organisation.
How can US captures the President of another country and attempt to force change of Government just because they can.
Why not move this military might against Russia which keeps destroying Ukraine per seconds. |
