Politics › Re: I Never Knew You Asked Abacha Not To Kill Me, Obasanjo Replies Gowon by mu2sa2:
God bless Abacha. We know now, as we've always known. that he was a humane, listening leader. Ethnic bigots plotted to assassinate him but failed. He caught them. A tyrant would have executed them straight away. But Abacha listened to the pleas to temper justice with mercy, and he did by sparing the plotters. R.i.p the great general.

You must be a kid or were born when Abacha was in power if not you will not spew this rubbish!
You're one of the hypocrites. Mention one innocent person Abacha killed. God protected him; it was those who wanted to kill him that got instant justice. Throughout Abacha years the exchange rate remained stable at about N86 to the dollar and everybody prospered despite the massive sanctions by the selfish western countries.
Politics › Re: I Pleaded With Abacha Not To Execute Obasanjo – Gowon by mu2sa2:
This statement by Gowon is a confirmation that General Abacha was a humane leader. Besides obj, Abacha also spared oladipo Diya, who was his second in command, even though they were both found guilty in a largely ethnic conspiracy to kill Abacha. Although hypocrites, mostly from SW, would always paint Abacha in a bad light, he was infact a gentleman to the core. Throughout his time as head of state, Abacha never harmed innocent citizens; but God decimated those who plotted to topple his govt and kill him. As God wills, Abacha is resting in peace, but wicked people that plotted against him are now in power inflicting unprecedented hardship on Nigerians. R.i.p people's general. You will always be remembered for your service to the nation, especially for your sound, home grown economic policy that engendered prosperity and growth.
Politics › Re: Corruption, State Capture: Festering Cancers - Punch Editorial by mu2sa2:
To be fair to him, Tinubu campaigned to be president on emilokan slogan. Since he came into office he has never deviated from emilokan. All the key government positions have been given to his friends and close associates. The first lady is in a class of her own. As for first son Sheyi, everybody in government kowtow to the next governor of the first emilokan colony. A very straight-forward guy, Tinubu practices what he preaches: Emilokan par excellence! Emilokan rules till 2027. Will it continue beyond 2027? Hahahaha, with poverty-ravaged, disillusioned electorate, compromised inec, pocketed judiciary and ethnicised security forces, if you think election can change anything, let's wait and see.
Politics › Re: Tax Bills: I'm Neutral But Suspicious About The Rush To Pass Them - Dawisu by mu2sa2: 1:05pm On Nov 30, 2024
epainos:
Working with someone who is not on one's intellectual or physical level is disastrous and frustrating.

They are so comfortable collecting millions of naira per sitting while deliberating and prolonging issues that could be resolved in a single meeting. These senators and their spokespeople are selfish and only concerned with their pockets. They want to drag out these issues in order to continue collecting money, lol.

Initially, they claimed that the tax is bad and will harm them. Then Oloyede and the FIR boss entered the Senate to educate them. That was when Udume introduced the narrative that they are too hasty. Everyone was shocked. The same Udume who claimed they wanted to paralyze the north with the bill demanding explanation also stated that they should prevent them from explaining anything to them that day because they were not officially included in the order of the day. So the senator leading the investigation quoted another law of the house and ruled him out. A very useless senator...Udume is useless. He is only concerned with himself and his own interests. He does not want these guys to educate us on all of the implications. The days of using threats to get what they wanted are over. Guys now know how to reach out to the common people in the north also.

I do not understand what kind of speed they are talking about. Is not this the type of speed required to pass bills? If you have a valid counter-argument, then stop them there. Not that you don't have anything but telling them to just wait. Wait for what? Is it not the issue on which they are deliberating? So, what would you like them to wait for? Honestly, having unintelligent people to work with is so frustrating.

And funny, they heard it right. Lagos State is the main impediment to passing this bill, and the FIR bosses were surprised that Sanwo Olu welcomed them. Lagos is also losing a significant portion of their VAT revenue. They also said they approached the FG about releasing 5% to the states. When Oloyede said he thought the governors and the senate will praise him for his work, but they are the evil against it...that he was shocked. I laughed. What Oloyede does not realize is that they are for themselves. Lol. Dem no send the people they represent na.

As bad as they say Gbajamiala is, you should go to Surulere and see his work. All members of the House of Representatives received funding for projects in their constituencies. Go ask Surulere residents about the work that man completed. Why can't they also do same? Try telling Surulere residents that Tinubu will not return in 2027 and see what happens. Lol.

Tinubu is not my hero...but at least we have eliminated oil subsidies and the naira. Lol. Yes, we are realizing the value of what we have. We can now work on these issues. But everyone wants them to keep doing evil behind the scenes....but they heard it for themselves...we can not keep doing it. Yes, Tinubu was evil for attacking Jonathan. I despise him for that. However, we are unable to continue because the resources are no longer available.

What caused Buhari to leave and flee? Guy man saw what lies ahead, na. He japa!

Anyway, God will help us in this country.

Tinubu is not a man I support, but allow him to pass these bills. These are the foundations required to restore Nigeria to the regional system that we have requested. Allow everyone to go hustle for their money. Allow the south-east and south-south to receive a significant portion of the oil VAT. If the Kaduna and PH refineries require crude oil, they are paying the appropriate VAT to the people who deserve it more with this bill. Shikena. The north should work more on his agriculture...and earn money.

Any state that cannot survive should be merged back into the state from which it originated. Shikena.
All this epistle on top of wetin. If you impoverish ekiti state, for instance, the millions there will flock to " viable" states and bring them down too.

So because they operate on cutting-edge technology that automatically makes them safe? undecided

Most fintechs are essentially glorified one-man businesses where all critical decision essentially depends on the owner/CEO

Most fintechs do not have robust corporate governance systems in place.

Mentions 5 fintechs that have a robust Board of Directors, Board committees, Management approval committees etc in place

You think it's just by making noise online that they have fast transaction time and by selling POS machines grin

And for your information fintechs do not and can never have the same level of insurance cover as standard commercial banks!
Are they registered by ndic or not? Is it not your so-called robust board of directors that allocate billions upon billions to themselves every year while punishing the staff with stipends as salaries. Abeg make I hear word - robust nko, robust ni.

You can open an account with a fintech for the purpose of making fast payments of small amounts but don't ever use them as a complete substitute for conventional commercial banks by keeping your life savings in them!
What are you saying, Mr man? Fintechs are registered to operate leveraging on cutting-edge technology and deposits with them are insured by ndic on the same level as the baba-go-slow banks. Btw, can you name one single individual that has lost money in opay or other fintechs like many customers of gtb, zenith etc have had their hard-earned bucks disappear from their accounts in recent times?

Died with his arm blasted off after months of running and hiding in tunnels. Definition of a bloody coward! 😂
Mr man, Isreali propaganda depicted Sinwar as a coward afraid of death and hiding in a tunnel surrounded by 25 hostages he was using as human shield. It turned out that sinwar was actually in the battlefront fighting the enemy head on. He died a hero to his people in their fight for freedom and to end isreali oppression and slavery.
Whether you like it or not Sinwar, as God wills, is in heaven now, but it's the oppressors that will face the ultimate judgment here and hereafter

Righteousness2 food don land for you to masturbate over this obvious zionist propaganda, even though as a Christian if you go to isreal today you'll be a minority (Jews are the majority in israel followed by muslims) subject to being spit upon by Jews in the streets as they see you as an idol worshipper because of your belief in the concept of trinity ( "three gods" to Jews).
BTW, Iran is known to have hundreds of missile sites and has numerous research centres across the country. Assuming Americans, who are using isrealis as fronts, "destroyed" one centre, that would be an exercise in futility because Iran would simply replace the facility or carry on research activities elsewhere.

I have never seen people so primitive and backward like those black south Africans; perhaps those white saw how Foolish they were hence why they made them a slave in their own land.
The white man really dealt with them. By the time Nigeria and other Africans helped to defeat apartheid in South Africa, the damage to black South Africans had become irreversible to the extent that today they hate anything black, including themselves, and adore anything white. Only God can cure them of xenophobia.

If you think trump is joking about the idea of getting a third term in office, you're the joker. This is a guy that won't accept defeat at the polls. He's internally an anti- democracy bigot and his statement is just testing the waters. In 3 years' time you'd hear his supporters saying trump is the best president ever. Yes, you're gonna hear that and from that point they're gonna start saying why change the winning team. And they're gonna be figuring out how to "make it happen" so that the best team headed by trump continues in office - the next assault against the Capitol may not necessarily fail!
