How will i tell my kid that i also vote for a fisherman as a president? |
Fellow Nigerians: On behalf of my husband, His Excellency Dr. Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan, I want to thank you all for answering my call to please pless ya hands on the umblera everywhere and every time. My fellow widows and fellow shidrens, this has been a long journey. From the market stalls of Abakaliki to the farmsteads of Zungeru, you listened to my voice and voted massively for my husband irrespective of your nationality. We are truly grateful. God is on the throne and it is well. Now that we have finish election, I congratulate Professor Attahiru Jega and all the members of INEC for their success. The enemies tried but Nigeria has finally done it. Even all the international people who came to watch the election to make sure we do it properly, I am sure that when they report back to all the people that send them here to come and watch the election, they will say that Nigeria has carry third position in the business of democracy in Africa after South Africa and Ghana. This is a big ashivment my fellow Nigerians because it is not easy to carry third in democracy in the whole of Africa. Irrespective of my nationality, I am proud of Nigeria and Nigerians. If we continue like this, we will carry forst in 2015 by the special grace of God. As I have told you before, my husband and Sambo is a good people and they will always deliver the dividends of this new democracy that you have awarded them. To all the faithful PDP members who voted umblera irrespective of your political affiliation, I say continue to have faith in our great party. To members of other political parties who did not vote for us irrespective of your political affiliation, we shall try to earn your trust and my husband will try to be the President of all of you. To the millions of youths who answered our call to come under the umblera, God will reward you by making you leaders of tomorrow. And if you have not already done so, please go to Facebook and like your President so as to move Nigeria forward with him. I am pleased to inform you that we are going to do raffle draw on Facebook for young friends of the president. The youth that carry forst will get to stand behind Chief Tony Anenih, Chief Bode George, and Baba Obasanjo on the presidential podium during inauguration ceremony on May 29, 2011. To all my fellow Senators and Reps who also won election, remember that you were all once a shidren like the President so don’t go to the National Assembly and be making life difficult for him again. We need your cooperation to move Nigeria forward. Sometimes, the National Assembly will always be sitting on the budget for a long time and the president will not be able to do dehvehlopement projects. They will then carry rumour and talk opata that he spent excess crude money if he tries to look for another money to spend for dehvehlopement projects. I appeal to you to cooperate with him in the coming dispensation. I also appeal to my fellow brothers and sisters who have just been elected Governors or declared Governors by tribunal especially in the rascality states of the southwest. Even if you are not umblera Governor, it will be good for you to cooperate with Ebele in the Governor’s foroom so as to move Nigeria forward. Do not do like Bukola Saraki who turn himself to president one time like this just because he was chairman of Governor’s foroom. As for our eminent stakeholders like Dimeji Bankole, Bode George, Iyiola Omisore, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Gbenga Daniel, Bayo Alao Akala, Iyabo Obasanjo and so on and so forth who lost out to the rascals in that part of Nigeria, let me assure you, my brothers and sisters, that Ebele will try to find something for them, maybe Ambassador or Minister or board chairman, so that they can carry their experience back inside government and uphold our beloved Baba Obasanjo’s legacy as the founder of modern Nigeria. I want to seize this opportunity to appeal to all the people that are fighting and killing in the north to accept the results of this election and let us build Nigeria together. They should remember that the life of every Nigerian is precious and we should not be killing ourselves to become widows. The killers should remember that it was a woman who born them. They were once a shidren and now adult now they are killing women and children and making some children a widow all over the north. I appeal to them to stop the violent. Finally my fellow Nigerians, I wish to remember you all that we need to start working for 2015 as from today now that you have given my husband his first term so that he can carry second term in 2015. We all know that only one term will not be enough for all the big big dehvehlopement projects that he wants to do for great country. Pless ya hands for progress! Pless ya hands for unity! Pless ya hands for the Federal Republic of Nigeria! Yours Sincerely, Her Excellency Dr. Dame Patience Jonathan, JP, NTA, CSSP, NGO First Lady, The Federal Republic of Nigeria ![]() |
1. My Husband and Sambo is a good people 2. The President was once a Child and the Senators were once a Children 3. My Fellow Widows 4. A Good Mother takes care of his Children 5. The people sitting before you here were once a Children 6. Yes we are all happy for the effort,it is not easy to carry second in an international competition like this one – Addressing Press men after Female Under 19 Fifa World Cup 7. The Bombers who born them?wasn’t it not a woman? They were once a Children now a adult now they are bombing women and children making some children a widow 8. My Heart feels sorry for these Children who have become Widows by losing their Parents for one reason or another 9. We should have love for our fellow Nigerians irrespective of their NATIONALITY? 10. vote UMBLERRA and press your finger for UMBLERRA Below is the 2011 complete list, ![]()

Which way nigeria? |
We have ourselves to blame for the situation in nigeria now,we put our life on the line to vote for a someone who failed to protect us,protect the state capital and went about talking about subsidy at these very hard time.2012 will be the longest year in the history for u,arghhh what terrible situation. |
To begin with, the idea that the Nigerian government is subsidizing fuel for the masses is a willfully double-tongued twaddle. Only four kinds of people believe that: the hopelessly ignorant, the mentally subnormal, masochists with a perverse thirst for self- abasement, and beneficiaries of real government subsidies such as our indolent, unproductive, and ruthlessly acquisitive government officials and their equally debauched cronies in the private sector. Many informed commentators have conclusively proved that. But there is an even more treacherous scandal in this “oil subsidy” scam that the Nigerian national media is either not aware of or has chosen to ignore. Two weeks ago, when I compared fuel prices among oil-producing nations of the world and showed that Nigerians pay the highest price for petrol even though they receive the lowest minimum wage among their peers, I actually did a gross disservice to my argument. The situation is a lot worse than that. I will come back to this point shortly. I pointed out that the petrol I use for my car in America burns A LOT SLOWER than the one I use when I visit Nigeria, meaning that, at the current rate, Nigerians (with a miserable minimum wage of N7,000 per month or about $45 per month— against America’s over N180,000 minimum wage per month) actually pay more than or about equal to Americans for petrol. It takes aremarkably heartless person to ignore this heartrending fact. But that’s an issue for another day. A Nigerian online citizen investigator who goes by the handle “Viscount” revealed on a Nigerian Internet discussion forum recently that Nigerians not only pay the highest price for fuel inOPEC; they also consume the worst imaginable grade of petrol among oil-producing countries. That means comparing fuel prices between Nigeria and other oil- producing countries—or even countries in Europe and North America— is actually like comparing apples and oranges. These countries not only pay considerably lower prices than us for high-quality petrol, Nigerians have been paying unconscionably high prices for toxic fuel for the past 12 years, as you will see shortly. And they will pay even more for it next year. If this is not sufficient reason to give up everything and “occupy” Nigeria until the oppressors are brought to a standstill, I don’t know what is. At the center of the tragic importation of toxic petroleum products into Nigeria—and other West African nations— is an Amsterdam-based multinational company called Trafigura. Keepthat name in mind as you read this. Many Nigerians know that the fuel they consume domestically isn’t derived from the crude oil their country exports. They also know that they have one of the world’s best and finest quality of crude oil. What many of them don’t know is that the cabal of rapacious oil importers that the Jonathan administration— and the administrations that preceded him—mollycoddle with “subsidies” actually import toxic, low-quality oil that is not fit for consumption in Europe or North America—or in any society that cares for the welfare of its citizens. In 2010, a group of journalists from the UK, Norway, and the Netherlands won a prestigious international journalism award for a series of investigative reports they did on Trafigura’s barbarous dumping of toxic petroleum waste on Cote d’Ivoire. The waste killed scores of people and sickened thousands more.In July 2010, an Amsterdam court found the company guilty andfined it 1 million euros. (The caustic petroleum residues were dumped on Cote d’Ivoire on July 2, 2006). On June 24 this year, Afrol News, an Africa-centered news agency, reported that it had been “given documentation” that shows that the same Trafigura that was fined for dumping deleterious waste on Ivoirians had offloaded “dangerous and poor gasoline [i.e., petrol]” in the “Nigerian port of Lagos.” This toxic petrol, which Nigerians have been consuming for years and which our governments “subsidize,” according to the Afrol News report, “is highly unstable, not enduring sunlight exposure, and will cause damage to vehicles. It will also cause environmental damages due to high sulphur values, and can therefore cause human health damages. The product is strictly illegal in Europe and the US, but may in some cases be within legal quality and environment standards in some West African countries.” But this wasn't a one-off occurrence. It's been happening for over a decade. So, ordinary Nigerians are being forced to use their hard-earned money to buy inordinately overpriced and demonstrably harmful petroleum products. Yet the Nigerian government says this isn’t bad enough; it wants to increase fuelprices again next year. And the government has no plans to repair our refineries so that we can refine our own crude domestically and bring down the cost of petrol. But the bigger scandal is that in January this year, the Jonathan administration signed a multi- billion-d ollar annual contract with the same Trafigura of toxic fuel dumping infamy. And there was no due process in the award of the contract. According to Business Day of January 4, 2011, “Under the agreement with the Nigerian government, Trafigura is expected to pick up Nigerian crude oil and in return, supply herwith refined products; but it is unclear why the firm, which has supplied refined products to Nigeria in the last 12 years, was favoured for the deal. “Trafigura agreed to an annual contract with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) on the basis of taking 60,000 barrels of crude oil per day in exchange for refined products such as gasoline and gas oil of equivalent value estimated at around $3 billion a year.” An oil industry expert who spoke to Business Day said just “$1 billion of the amount would have put the four refineries in proper shape.” When I wrote two weeks ago that Nigerians were faced with a choice between death and life, I didn’t even know about all these. I am going to leave the reader with “Viscount”’s parting thoughts: “Nigeria will give Trafigura (confirmed supplier of bad petrol), 60, 000 barrels of oil per day in exchange for their mega tonnesof DEADLY-sulphuro us petrol! Yep, Jonathan's government is paying a foreign company to systematically KILL Nigerians. And poor Nigerians are being asked to be happy jare! “So, Nigerians, when your brand new Tokunbo engine knocks - just like that, thank Trafigura! When your I-better-pass-m y- neighbour generator's fume smells funny and leaves a film like Casper the Ghost - just like that, thank Trafigura! When you are walking in Lagos, or any other Nigerian [city], and you are experiencing a choking sensation from the mundane act of breathing in - just like that, thank Trafigura! Nigeria!” |

Dear President Jonathan: I’m ashamed of myself. I want to apologize for my heartless abuse of your meek and gentle self. Please accept my sincere apologies. I did not mean any harm. If I had known that you were as fragile as an egg, I would have been massaging your tiny ego instead of throwing darts to strengthen your muscles. Just like you, Mr. President, I want to move Nigeria forward. I want to do it in a gentleman’s way - without shedding any sweat. But I have seen that Nigeria is such a heavy load that anyone involved in that venture must be ready to perspire. Despite the impression I must have given over the years as a professional critic, I am a thoughtful man. I know it must be hard being the president of a dysfunctional country like Nigeria. But I did not know it was this hard. And surely, you did not have the slightest idea how hard it would be when you allowed your name on the ballot. At a non-denominational service to mark Nigeria ’s 51st Independence Day, you lashed out at me and other critics of yours. I truly deserve it. But your frustrations drew no sympathy in me. As a member, in good standing, of the National Association of Armchair Critics (Home and Abroad), I want to respond to you. It wasn’t my intention to be abusive. I wanted to use sweet words to present my thoughts. But it hasn’t been easy. And that is for the simple fact that the Nigerian political space that you head is so rude to me. Everyday, your people insult me. They dish out foul acts. When they speak, obnoxious words come out of their mouths. Your people exert cruelty on me and on ordinary folks like me. The vicious disregard of our feelings makes it hard for me to be loving and kind. I do pity you, Mr. President. But I cannot sugarcoat things because I’m livid that you haven’t declared your assets yet - and this, in and of itself, is a form of abuse to me and my humanity. Often, I hear you and your friends in high places say that you don’t mind constructive criticism. You ask that we proffer solutions when we criticize. Well, I thought by pointing out the problems we have invariably made the solution obvious. Must we spell it all out? We say that we are outraged that 469 people in Nigeria ’s National Assembly get paid over N150 million (about $1million) each every year. That’s about $500 million in total. What does that say to you? Do you need from us a solution on that? We say that we are mad that the Nigerian government spent $3.2 billion of our money to build Delta Steel Co, that is over N480 billion without factoring in inflation. Later, the same steel company got sold to a company that is a front for Obasanjo for mere $120 million, ie N7.5 billion. What does that say to you? Do you need from us a solution on that? We say that we are fuming because Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim bought NICON, valued at N50 billion for N1.05 billion. He used equity in the company to borrow N41 billion from Union Bank PLC. What does that say to you? Do you need from us a solution on that? We say that we are furious because Theophilus Danjuma made $4.5 billion when he sold to a Chinese corporation 45% share of a company he build around the two oil blocks Gen. Sani Abacha “dashed” him. He said that after paying taxes and taking care of all he could think of, he had $500 million left. To avoid having his children fight over too much money after he’s dead, he used $100 million to set up a Foundation. What does that say to you? Do you need from us a solution on that? We say we are incensed that governors across Nigeria cart away hundreds of millions of naira each month as security vote. They commit crimes and hide under immunity. They leave office and live above the law. What does that say to you? Do you need from us a solution on that? Forget about them-others. What about you? Why haven’t you declared your assets? How much do you get as security vote? Even if you are so helpless about stopping others, why can’t you live by example? We are enraged. We feel the violence you and your people exert on us right inside our hearts. And all you want us to do is to stop abusing you. Forget you! In your swipe at us, you essentially said that while we were busy hating you at home, world leaders were busy extolling you abroad. “President Obama commended me,” you said, like a teenager asked out on a date by a cheerleader. Eeyaah! Maybe I should tell you that President Obama commended me too? And I never met him. I have a letter written and signed by Obama to prove it. In the letter, Obama called me his friend. He even sends me emails every Friday. So what is the big deal? I noticed that Obama’s commendation wasn’t all that when I discovered that it doesn’t mean a thing to my children. And frankly, I am more interested in what my children think about me than what Obama thinks about me. Also, I saw the picture of you taking instructions from Hilary Clinton. Her pose was not that of someone commending. It was more of someone commanding. And your pose wasn’t that of a lion or a Pharaoh or an army general. Yours was that of a school boy taking instructions from the headmistress. You said that you can change Nigeria without being a Nebuchadnezzar. Well, so you know, we don’t care what you are or what you want to become. All that we care about is to see the changes. No need talking. Just show us the change. Let the critics be critics. Let you, the president, be president. That’s all that we want. You must not use us, the critics, as an excuse for your failure. And we, the critics, must not use your tears as an excuse to quit our job. As far as I can see, nobody asked you to rule with impunity. All that you are asked is to show some audacity. If you don’t have it in you, just convince us that there is sanity in our polity. Is that too much to ask for? You don’t have to be the King of Syria to change the lives of Nigerians. Whatever pact you have with God, that is between you and your God. What we, the critics, think is the reason why you are there is more important than what you think is the reason why God placed you there. Just in case you have forgotten, you are there to serve us. You said you wanted to do so. And by every means possible, you got yourself there. Now that you’re there, do what presidents are supposed to do. Gear up and guide the nation. Don’t sit there and grumble. God does not use grumbling men to change a society. Passionate men who pledged their honor, their fortunes and their lives grab the horn and turn their society around. Only the dead do not have forces bent on frustrating them. A market woman has forces best on tearing her ten kobo bag. So get over yourself. Get over the excuses. Get over the self-pity. Give us results. Inspire us. Nothing you say will make the forces against you to pull back. The more you look like a pussy, the more they push you around. We have heard that one about ‘moving the nation forward.” We have even felt the movement. The only problem is that when we look around, outside of Abuja and your friends in high places, we notice that we are actually moving backward and not forward. But listen, it doesn’t matter what we think. If you are sure you are moving the nation forward, by all means, don’t worry about what we say. Keep on moving. Majority of the people will notice it eventually. You don’t want to waste your energy dealing with your enemies. You’re the president, for Christ sake. If all you see are Goliaths everywhere, you are looking at the wrong effigies. And mind you, Mr. President, I know David - you are not David. Maybe you’re kind of confused. While you are searching for the forehead of David, remember that you’re exposing your forehead too. Maybe in your days as an intellectual, you did not have to do literature review and thesis proposal where you critic old arguments and advanced a new ones. Critics have to do that on a daily basis. If God is your pilot, I say, good luck to you. But God is not Nigeria ’s pilot. Don’t embarrass God that way. Your PDP is Nigeria ’s pilot. So the sooner you get that into your head, the better. If you have no plans, no amount of prayers will lead you to your destination. And if you have no destination, no God can guide you there. I don’t know about others, but I am not praying for you and all your friends who waste the resources of that country, living large in Abuja while ordinary men and women perish for nothing. I am praying for that breadwinner who will die tomorrow night when the bus he is travelling in collides with an abandoned trailer left in the middle of Lagos-Ibadan road. I am praying for the women and children who will die in a fire tomorrow night because there is no fire truck anywhere in their local government. I am praying for that pregnant woman who will die in labor tonight because the doctor has no tools to perform surgery. I am praying for the trader whose business will come to an end because ill-educated and unemployed youths will set his goods on fire tomorrow. I am praying for the girl who will be rape tomorrow by men who have copied the impunity of our national life which you and your friends advertize. Let Pastor Enoch Adeboye pray for you. Let Pastor Chris Oyakhilome mediate for you. Let Evangelist Helen Akpabio transfigure for you. Let T.B. Joshua splash you with Holy Water. Let David Oyedepo knock you into a winner. All I know is that, “vanity is vanity.” What use is a conscience that is deeply asleep? Oh, by the way, Happy Independence Day, Mr. President. I hope you’ve received the card President Obama sent you. I’ve got mine here. I’m your most humble subject, Mufc009 |
