She was listed alongside Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Omotola Ekeinde, Genevieve Nnaji, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Mr Eazi, and the Director General of the World Trade Organization, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala featured on the list.

According to Forbes, the list was curated from Hollywood exports and Grammy artists to award-winning ideas that can save the world.

It also stated that the list is a way of “celebrating those whose ideas, inventions, and influential role models have aided Africa’s growth over the last decade.”

Forbes on its official Twitter handle, @Forbesafrica, alongside the list wrote, “This is a way of celebrating those also with the award-winning ideas that had defined the African continent and influential role models that have spelt Africa’s growth over the last decade.”

Forbes described Burna Boy in the publication as one of the biggest and most successful African artists on this continent.

A Nigerian woman has been deported from India for illegal stay, Delhi Police said on Wednesday, March 31.

According to DCP, Dwarka Police, Santosh Kumr Meena, the Nigerian national was picked up by staff of PS Mohan Garden after she was found living in the country without valid visa and passport.

Burna Boy was nominated for the ‘International Male Solo Artist category alongside The Weekend, Bruce Springsteen, Childish Gambino and Tame Impala.

He was nominated for the same category last year for ‘African Giant’ his 2019 album but lost to Tyler The Creator, American singer-songwriter.

The awards will take place on 11 May 2021.

Burna broke a record at the 2021 Grammys after ‘Twice As Tall’ became the first Afrobeats album to win the award.

Globally-acclaimed Afrofusion singer, Burna Boy, has said that he would have won a Grammy award in 2013 if he had the right support.

In a chat with BBC Africa, Burna Boy spoke of his experience making the album during a pandemic.

He said: “If the environment was conducive and we had leadership who took the youth seriously and certain infrastructure in place, I probably won’t be winning a Grammy in 2021. I probably would have won in 2013 or 2014.

“I’m basically the stone that the builders refused when it comes to, you know, being here (in music). I was very relieved because I deserved it. I was hoping a situation wouldn’t happen where I didn’t get what I deserved.

“I saw this moment happening back in 2012. I just realised it (the music struggle) was bigger than me. It’s like I used to do this on the streets and everyone is going crazy, but now I don’t see anyone better than me.

“So, it’s like this is serious now. Anything is possible. Whatever situation you may be in wherever you find yourself doesn’t really determine your future or stop you from not considering your dreams as being dreams.

“In the end, we’re in an environment that doesn’t believe in itself before they even think of believing in you.”

When quizzed on the prospects he sees for music in Africa, Burna Boy said he takes pride in knowing that more people like him will emerge to create opportunities and pave the way more for the younger generation of African musicians.

“A lot of doors are being opened. For me personally, every door at this point has been opened,” he added.

“It is what will be left behind when I’m not here. That’s going to be my footprints on the world.”

Nigerian musician, Davido has opened up on his frosty relationship with fellow musician, Wizkid.


Popular musician, Davido has revealed that he used to be a very good friend of Wizkid before their relationship crashed.


In an exclusive interview with Ionwannatalk podcast, the music executive noted that fans played a major role in their supposed beef.



According to Davido, if he and Wizkid were to sit down to discuss their issues, it would be discovered that they have only few complaints about each other, however fans have taken over the supposed beef and turned it into a big deal.

“In the ensuing melee, several people sustained bruises, while some of those in the filling station like hawkers, petrol attendants and those buying fuel were injured.”

Also, a shop owner, Mr. Azeez Iyiola, who spoke on the incident, said, “The explosion was from the commercial gas plant located inside the filling station.

“It was dispensing and suddenly exploded, it was however immediately brought under control, although several people sustained varying degrees of injury.”

Reacting to the law during a service at the headquarters of the Church, Canaanland, Ota in Ogun State recently, Oyedepo said the law is a sinister, demonic attempt to stifle the church. According to him, the church is one of the greatest assets of this nation today. He argued that the government has no business with the runnings of the church. He stated that the law will never work.

"Just before we leave, there was this sinister document that came on a name, Company and Allied Matters Act. And the same thing that was done some years ago, when the Holy Ghost instructed me to warn the people, is repeated here. One, this is one most undemocratic policy forever.

Let me quickly correct..the church is not a company. You better understand. That registrar general has the power to remove trustees of the church and close the church's account, and that does not require any court validation.

Well, I know this must be from someone who woke up from the wrong side of the bed. Please, note this is a warning from the Lord so that I can be free from your blood. This will never work! Now, please note that church runs on patterns delivered by God. He said that you do all things according to the patterns shown to you on the mountain. The two female students of the Olabisi Onibanjo University, Ago-Iwoye in Ogun State who were kidnapped by unknown gunmen on Sunday, March 14, have regained their freedom.

Over 12 youths in the community have been arrested by the police, cars parked along the road and some properties were vandalized following the clash.


There was tension as youths of Nkpogu community within Trans-Amadi Layout in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area clashed with the Rivers State Taskforce on illegal street trading and motor park leading to casualties and damages.

Over 12 youths in the community have been arrested by the police, cars parked along the road and some properties were vandalized.

Some residents who spoke on the incident, narrated how members of the taskforce first stormed the market, destroyed goods and other properties, before invading the junction where they chased tricycle riders.

One of the community youths identified as Azundah, expressed concern that, “this is not the type of agency to be introduced by the government we voted for. We therefore, call for an end to Taskforce for the interest of the safety of the lives and properties of Rivers People.”

But reacting to the allegations, the Cordinator of the Taskforce, Felix Nwadibeyi said that, “Nkpogu community youths first attacked my team before I called for reenforcement from other teams and security to rescue those that were held hostage.”

Mike Davids has apologized to Apostle Johnson Suleman after accusing him of having sexual relations with his wife.
Recall that Mike Davids, a former pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, claimed the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, slept with his wife and threatened to make him "disappear".

He alleged that while he was still in the Ministry, Apostle Suleman slept with his wife and then transferred her to Abuja where she is now heading the church's branch.

He also alleged that the clergyman has stopped him from seeing his three children and has also been threatening his life. He further claimed that Apostle Suleiman cast a spell on his wife.

His wife, Pastor Edeko, responded, saying that her husband’s allegations are cheap blackmail. She said it was Davids who walked out of their marriage and that she suffered so much abuse while she was still living with him. She said she even contemplated suicide but her son stopped her.

She claimed that she did not abandon her marriage but it was her husband who abandoned the family and even demanded a refund of her bride price from her family.
