Dasari,u are not sure of ur operating system# 2000 xp %well i will advise you to restore ur pc or load msdos 6.0 or repair the OS.but the best bet is to repair the OS.mukalash4u@yahoo.com

Talk talk,I told u 2 remove it for 24hour cos most of d chips are program in 24hours% if the bios refuse to work dat means u will go and give it to engineer just 4 bios flashing

Right click on my computer then properties> hardware> device manager>scroll to ur lan card then right click on it select properties > click on show icon then ok do d other pc also#u will see the icon in ur taskbar

Bimbor, 1 Get cat5e cable,rj45,pc (with lan card ready) then configure d cable with peer to peer(1<3,2<6) but if u can not do it come to computer village and ask those people dat are selling network accessories to configure d cable 4 u. Then plug it 2 ur pc. Right click on d icon(my computer) rename d computer name and give it a workgroup.do d 2nd onë as well         but let d computer name be different and d workgroup be d same then restart d pc

Talk talk,av u done d clear bios option % remove d battery (it is a lithium battery dat will be powering ur cmos chip when there is no electric supply in d board but if u disable it, it will restore d pc to default setting

Slycks,even if u repair it 100 times d cdrom will not work.d pc must be reload dats all i know becos i came across dat same problem #

1forall,d cdrom will work in dos environment perfectly without any doubt.just goto bios setup then boot from cdrom 1st then press any key to boot from cdrom (d way u use to load ur pc)but one diffêrent step u will leave filès not format

D flash drive? U need avg disk cleaner u will download it frm grusoft then restart ur system press f8 to enter safemode then format ur fdrive with avg disk cleaner

Thanks oyb, but i will just advice him to format d system cos some worms are d great administrator editors which disabling ur system policy. If you enable it for somedays the worms will tamper with another one.like regedit which will not allow you to install or remove any program.please best option is backup> format>reload.but before u can put ur data to d system after reload pls scan it with powerful antivirus to avoid worm

Computer engr is all about troubleshooting & repair a pc . What u need to come to computer village and learn how to do anything computer.reading books is just a backup don't just become an engr without screw driver.4 me i am proud to be one of d village engineers.just in 1½years i can do many things on d machine called computer.i can do : scaning machine,networking,troubleshooting,monitor/ups .believe me i am in the midst of engrs and i tapd alot from them dat is why i can come out to proof dat i am an engr i know and every engrs in computer village dat knew me believe me as well. to be assure just carry one of ur scanner to ikeja and ask about 5 engrs to direct u to where you can fix it i know dat they will mention muka

64mb is too low for winxp but dat is not d issue what u need to do is to reload the system i came accross dat problem last year. i notice dat when i am load from d cdrom and d pc power tripd off,dat is phcn 4 us. i start d pc just to start from where i stopd but d cdrom is nowhere to be found.i tried every possible effort then i repaired d win xp but d cdrom refuse to work until i format the system and load it from the begining
