Just checked for update now and my case is in transit. I'm shocked �.

My case got to NVC - 28TH MARCH 2022.

Evertone was quiet on the page and no informationas at when i commented. I just needed someone to share update.

There are movements going on, someone whose NOA 2 was approved in March 8 is currently on transit. It just depends on where you are getting your information from

Our NO2 was 2nd of March and NVC received on the 28th of March and we got welcome email 12th of April. Yet to get letter in mail.

Same here , my case got to the nvc in March and I got an email yesterday that it’s in transit to the Lagos embassy. I think the backlogs had cleared.

You just gave me a splendid news . our case arrived NVC on the 28th of March and we received a welcome letter via email from NVC yesterday, hopefully we get our letter before the end of the week. .....

I think there are currently no back logs for k1 now in nigeria. I saw someone who got to nvc march 2022 and case is ready for interview now.

If that be the case, why are there no news of movementfrom people. No one is sharing any information so i will presume that it might not be true.

I don’t think the NVC wait time will get to a year again because early last month, most K1 cases from January to December 2021 were moved to the Lagos embassy so there won’t be need for up to 13 months backlog again at the nvc stage again

a total of 350 days.

Good morning, yet to get our welcome letter. we called to get the case number and receipt ID. But from people that have gone through this path, I think there is still a wait time of 12 -15 months. but with the on going process at the embassy to clear the backlog, hopefully, it will be faster.
so sit tight and stay strong. all the best to all of us.

if you want a faster renewal timeframe, try to do it outside Lagos. go to abeokuta or sagamu.

Finally I found this thread. Please I have a question: My fiancées is coming to Nigeria next month and spend 10 days before going back. She want to file the I- 129F immediately. My challenge is that my Nigeria passport has expired and my appointment is around June in order to renew it. Can she submit the form without any information about my passport involved in it? Please for those that have gone through this process kindly enlighten me on it. Thanks

Hello everyone, we called NVC and got our case number and invoice number today.
Please house, any help on what's next?
I tried logging into their portal and it's saying our numbers does not match their profile.

My friend and her guy applied for the K1 visa since August last year and have since been waiting. all they got was an acknowledgement mail stating that their case was received and no word since then. please i just want to know if there is something they should be doing or should have done next or is the delay being experienced by everyone. please your guidance will be very much appreciated. Also, is there any whatsapp group for this purpose? i will like to be added if their is one. thank you in anticipation of the requested guidiance.

Guys, don't allow this whole system and how it works break you down. As much as possible, look for things that can keep you busy and make you happy while also backing it up with prayers. The God that started the journey will perfect it... This is the sign you need to know that everything will be fine

Aaaw am so happy for you, the next step is to wait for response from NVC saying your case has been received and after that, you Might wait for about 12-13 months before your case will be shipped to US embassy in Nigeria. Reason for the 13 months wait is that us embassy has about 1 year backlog. They just shipped January 2021 cases from NVC Tuesday (two days ago). The basic thing is that you have been approved

March fillers how far? You guys appear to be having a great month as cases are being approved judging from what am seeing on Visa journey.

It is not a difficult thing to get a Nigerian Visa, you have the option of the embassy or on arrival. Both are legit. I once did visa on arrival for my child and i never had an issue.

All you need go to their site and the option is there for you to fill. A print-out form is what you use in-lieu of a visa at the airport. you can DIY or get an agent if you wish.

I just had my interview. It was a success. But I was told to bring the original copy of my birth certificate and submit at the DHL office alongside my passport. I was also told that once I submit them my visa will be ready for collection in 10 days. Will I say I was foolish to have submitted the photocopy? Lol. Anyways I’m excited. Thank you all. Whew! What a journey.

honestly the waiting period is not easy and I noticed people don't usually talk about it both on YouTube, nevertheless it gets more relieving as each month goes by. I really intend to put mine in writing much later and encourage someone else that will definitely feel the same way I did but till then.

Hi guys, I thought it would be nice to share my timeline here with y’all, as I’ve been a silent follower of this thread.

We filed December 2019, case was approved and sent to NVC April 2020, but Pandemic delayed us till May 2021 before it reached Lagos embassy.

Here’s my interview transcript and point of entry experience.
