The only way is to stay calm and wait. OR you expedite the process if necessary.

Good morning all and I would like to thank you for kind words.

My Visa was denied based on my past B1/B2 application. Even when the officer could not give a chance to clarify his assertions.

I would like to respond to some speculations which i have read so far based on what I witnessed at the embassy on the day of my interview:
1. Denial rate for both (spousal/fiance) was high
2.Some people still got their visas as well
3. Past records of you and your petitioner play a big role in your application.
4. I have all evidences needed right with them but it still doesn't matter if your relationship is genuine or not as long as the officer feels he is not convinced.
5. you can appeal a K1 denial.

Previous travels or B1/B2 visa has zero impact a K1 petition.

I had a valid b1/b2 visa and I had traveled to the US twice within the past 1.5 years as at the time I had my K1 interview.

Sorry it was 31stof may not 30th.

With a heavy heart my journey came to an end yesterday as my visa was denied.

I would like to thank you and also everyone who have shared their journey and have been of help in responding to all my queries. God bless you all.

I received a letter from the US embassy rescheduling my interview appointment.

Has anyone experience this before. Thanks.

Australian worker
Journalist
NAFTA worker
Victim of human trafficking
Victim of criminal activity

I don't know what else to do

yes is 3 months but in eyes consulate is valid for one year. You have no problem

I collected my police clearance and it has 3 months validity. I thought it was supposed to be 6 months.
To those who have done this, what's the validity on yours? Thank you.

There are two parts to the result. They will send the one needed directly to the embassy and I was told to come pick up the other myself which I I am to take with me to the US to be presented at the POE.

I went for my medical today. And they requested for appointment confirmation letter, any letter showing your CASE NUMBER and my international passport. Unfortunately, I didn't go with my appointment confirmation but I had to beg them at the reception to help me print a forward copy. Which they did. But it extended my wait time for like 30 minutes.
In all I spend about 3.5 hours. They said result will be ready in 11 days.

Petition arrival in Lagos: March 2022
Interview: April 2022 (they asked for my fiance's W2 tax form - the only unusual question)
Passport pick-up: April 2022
