SLOVFO: The new portal is easier to use but if your file size is above 2mb go with the old portal. I started with the old portal and later abandoned it for the new portal. But the problem had with it was my file size, I had to compress my file to the barest minimum before it got to 1.94mb or so. Thank you so much.. What app do you use to compress your file? |

Hoping the portal will go through since today is monday but i can't proceed beyond the page for selecting no of applicants.
Is today being a public holiday the reason? Seems the problem is because of public holiday. I'm trying to book online too. Though Abuja IOM. It has been successful. But where I'm supposed to download the appointment details is not loading. |

shanny001: What colleges do you recommend? It all depends on your pocket dear.. And your province of choice. |

shanny001: Hello, I'm new to this whole canada immigration thing. I'm thinking of relocating with my spouse and daughter (1yo) through the study route. I have a bsc in general microbiology and I'm considering studying masters in medical microbiology or laboratory medicine in any of these schools. 1. University of Alberta 2. University of Manitoba 3. University of British Columbia 4. University of Saskatchewan
I would really appreciate any advice at all I can get concerning my course of study in any of these schools and how easy it is to apply for PR in these provinces after schooling.
I schooled in OAU (MCB) and I'd also like to know if there's a way to get letters of recommendation from lecturers that doesn't involve me travelling to meet them personally. The course and the schools are very okay but you before you can even start application in any of the schools. You will have to get a potential supervisor from this school. That where the main work is. That why most of us go for colleges, especially if you are a science student. Most of science courses need potential supervisor, though it comes with funding if you are lucky to get one.. |

dreezy007: … Thanks for your response jaydave I will if it works out well, but I don’t intend to put all my eggs in one basket… I’m not the main applicant for the UK, and i think it will be done with me being the spouse of the main applicant, I don’t intend to do wedding too, with the way Uk are streamlining things, I want to also have other plans. Ofcause I will be grateful for her help, the loan I will need to pay back half of it, for the next 3 years so me being in Uk or Ca I intend to pay her back for her kind support.
I still need more advice on the Canada study visa as asked earlier. My take on this.. With the loan your aunty took on your behalf. It better to use her.. You said it's 20kCAD. You will have to look for a 1year program with low tuition fee. Because most colleges will ask you to pay for first semester fee as tuition deposit, and far from that, it boost your visa approval rate. So when you pay for a semester fee, the remaining balance including your own little savings might be enough. |

isangjohnson: I wish I could get direct information from the school but unfortunately the school admission department told me that the information could only be released to the student involved. I really need to be sure that the agent is not playing over my intelligent having received admission processing fee of 700k. All the mails from the school went to him and he then forward to my brother. I was not comfortable with this development. I thought all my brother's particulars including his email address was inputed while filling the form and this would've enable him (my brother) to get direct informations from the school via mail. What is the name of the school?. Instead of email.. Try and call them with your number .. You will get the answer you need immediately. |
