[quote author=makano post=109966029]Hello Munaedo

Please if possible apply now, your resumption is for May 2022 for God sake, you have no time at all.

The Tax certificate is not a compulsory document, many have gotten their Visas without Tax certificate, so please go ahead and submit your application with the document your sponsor already have, which I believe SOA is included..

If the Tax certificate is ready after the submission of your application and you wish to still submit, send it to IRCC via Webform or email..

But like I said earlier, it is not a compulsory document...

Peace [/quote
Thanks a lot sir! I appreciate your response

Ketima:
Congrats on crossing the first huddle (getting LOA). Now, lump sum isn't bad even though it raises eyebrows. Now lump sums becomes a problem when not properly explained and proof(s) provided for the VO to see. You mentioned he sold one of his properties, I guess there is/are documents that was exchanged between the buyer and the seller to authenticate the buying and selling. So, you need to explain that in details in your SOP, sighting date and selling price. Also state that it was from the money that your tuition was paid and the rest is in your spouse account solely for study purposes. Attach documents as regards that to Proof that the money wasn't borrowed for DEMONSTRATION PURPOSES. Again, your hubby needs to attach other things like business documents if a biz person or employment details to show he is or is established and won't be needing to sell property to be able fund you. Now if the later is the case, VO might think, what happens when he doesn't have property to sell, how then will he sponsor you.

As I learnt and advise people, first, be your own VO and imagine all the what if questions the VO might think, answer them by yourself, then come seek advise too.

Don't quiet get what you mean here as per the infant in the bolded, but please I would advise you apply with your last baby (visitor visa) who is less than a year old and still suckling.
Thanks a lot @ketima for your response & advice I really do appreciate. I’ll consider applying for my baby as well. Pls I’m still kindly soliciting for you assistance as to how to package other document for visa application. Thanks

Hello Munaedo

Lump sum becomes a reason for refusal when the applicant does not explain the source, reason and purpose of the sudden huge amount (lump sum) in the account.. The Visa officers are aware that many Nigerian applicants actually borrow to fund their accounts just to show they have money. (Demonstration Purpose).

Now in you own case, you have a source, a reason and the purpose of the sudden huge funds in your sponsor's account.. It is your duty to explain with convincing points on the said lump sum
just as you have explained here, and you must submit documents to back up your claims....

And to using your family as your home tie , it's a good move, but I will advise you apply with your less than a year baby, cos obviously your baby still needs you.. So you can go with your baby, then your hubby and your other kids can act as your home tie... Study permit application for you and Visitor Permit application for your baby..

Peace
Thanks a lot @Makano I really do appreciate you response and advice. Pls I still need advice on how to package my documents for submission.

Good evening House,
Pls I got my Letter of acceptance to study in Canada and I’m planning on applying for my study permit. I’ve got all my other documents ready, except for my SOP which I’m still battling with. Most importantly, my husband is my sponsor recently when I got my LOA he sold one of his properties, paid my fees & deposited d other in his account. However, my fear is that since it would be considered as lump sum by the VO what do you advise gurus in the house? Also my family would be my home tie because I won’t be going with the if I eventually get approval including my last baby that is less than a year old. Pls I need your the expertise of gurus here. Help a sister pls as my husband doesn’t understand the procedures, he thinks having the required amount is the main deal @ketima @frankrobbn @justmellow @makano @lekiboboe and other gurus. I’m actually new her (my first post)
