Enjoying what is right and forbidding what is wrong is one of the strong factors that facilitate the acceptance of prayer. Also obedient to parents and husband, talking good care of one's family and good intentions to others. Qur'an 3 : 103-104 Said "..... In this way Allah makes clear His Messages to you so that you might find guidance, and that there might grow out of you a community (of people) who invite unto all that is good, and enjoin the doing of what is right and forbid the doing of what is wrong : and it is they, they who shall attain to a happy state. " The Qur'an verse quoted above should therefore results in a moral change in society as the believers not only reforms his own behavior to accord with Allah's Guidance, but also exerts pressure on others to abandon evil-doing, and do what is right. On the other hand, the following are the factors that can hander the acceptance of one's prayer. These satanic action can be collectively called sin. Such satanic action are the following among others : Back biting, slander, lying, adultery, bad treatment from wife/husband, fornication, hatred, murder, envy, stinginess, unhealthy rivalry, hypocrisy, abortion, injustice, bribery, oppression, evil planning, embezzlement, Raping, disobedience to the directive of Allah, disobedience to parent and lawful constituted authorities, arrogance and bad intention against each other. People have become very sinful because they have corrupt thoughts and deeds. Also, there is nonchalant attitude towards the fear of Allah in their day to day activities. These vices are factors that hinder the acceptance of one's prayer. It is a known fact that sin is a factor that hinders the acceptance of one's prayer. The second khalifah of prophet Muhammad (S. A. W) Umar bin Khattab (R. A) said: "Fear your sins more than you fear your enemies, as your sins are more dangerous to you than your enemies." Today the soil is under you ;tomorrow it may be over you. Pray before you are prayed over. Stand firmly against unrighteousness May Almighty Allah forgive us our shortcomings and accept our prayers. |

[quote author=sinaj post=66356096]The Bishop did nt make any sense at all. The President isnt a christian so he shouldnt be bothered abt d holiday. Many people including Christians, prayed nd went about their normal business, some in other sectors wnt to work too. I see nothing wrong with what he did if that time was convinient for him, The annoying thing he did was to restrict movement. So assuming it was a 2wks celebration, the whole country should av been on hold huh? y'all should rest abeg! . Even those that dont even open their bible year to year suddenly have smtin to say just to stir trouble mitcheew! u take religion too serious, including the muslims. Lord bless you for this |
