VisaOfficer: Your friend is good to go -- we received an updated memo with a new expiration date -- there's not going to be any problem. It's not really an interview per se; we just need to make sure we're giving the travel document to the right person. That is nice. Thanks and God bless for your help and updates. What a wonderful thread!!! |

VO thanks for your help on this forum. My friend got a reply today from the embassy to come over next week with 2 passport photos and a filled copy of DS-156 form. Pls, will there be any interview for my friend? Once more thanks for helping out. |

VisaOfficer: While we're at it, could someone explain the whole "spiritual pregnancy" thing to me? I appreciate your help. Spiritual pregnancy!!! That's not possible. |

This is a complicated issue presently occurring in Nigeria. Most of these people/parents who are desperate fail to ask basic questions as to why they cannot go to another place to give birth after the pre-pregnancy treatment. The truth is most of them do not even know the child does not belong to them since they have been injected/given herbal drugs to make their tommy bulge. And at the point of delivery they are sedated and when they wake up they are given their supposed " new baby" ( originally delivered in a baby factory somewhere else at a fee).
On the other hand there is a mutual agreement between the hospital owners and the supposed parents. |

VisaOfficer: Thanks! I'm really enjoying this experience too.
Let me see if I understand. The U.S. citizen's child was granted parole? If so, the person should send an e-mail to LagosNIV@state.gov to let us know and ask what to do next. It can take a couple of days to answer all our e-mail, but if the parole expires in the meantime, we can probably contact the office that granted it and ask for an extension. Thanks for your prompt response. I just got confirmation from my friend that an email and a copy of the notice of parole was sent yesterday to the email address you dropped. But, the fear is if the process will finish before the parole expires since it was approved 2nd August 2013, though I made the friend to know that there is possibility of getting extension if it expires. I will continue to follow up and update you on the progress. Thanks for your support . |

I want to use this opportunity to say a very big thanks to the VO and other members who have being contributing positively to this thread. God will reward you guys for the good job. This will be the first time I am commenting, though I have benefited from your series of advice on this thread. Pls, I will like the VO to help a friend of mine on the way forward. This person applied for a non migrant visa and was denied. But, the father who is a US Citizen applied for parole and got it. This parole will expire in about a week's time. it was stated that the applicant should contact the consular office to get the necessary travel documents. VO please how does the person go about it considering the time limit. Thanks. |
