Career / Re: Is This Humiliation Or Something Else In Access Bank Plc? by Musmus(f): 5:08pm On Oct 23, 2009
Its such a shame to read all the comments on BSc Vs. HND. My question is, how many of the BSc holders can one actually say is 'educated'? I happen to be an interviewer for my company and the calibre of the so called BSc. graduates is just surprising, a lot of these kids graduate without anything up there. A lot of them cannot even speak good English nor write good grammar. So, it is annoying to read how some so called 'graduates' are now pulling others down.

The fact is, not every child would be able to attend a University, due to our impoverished economy. However, it is good for everyone to aspire for growth and continue to upgrade themselves. So, if you end up with a HND degree, then try to aspire for a Masters. This is because, even BSc are fast becoming 'High School Certificates' especially here in Nigeria where the value in our education has dropped greatly.

BSc. holders should also aspire for growth because times change and what you learnt to earn your degree in year 2000, would have been upgraded by year 2009 and if care is not taken, a year 2009 HND graduate may come out better off in current knowledge and skills than you a year 2000 BSc graduate.
Literature / Re: Buying Books Online In Nigeria: Which Online Bookstores Do We Have In Nigeria? by Musmus(f): 7:57am On Jun 20, 2009
I use Debonairs (www.booksng.com) they are quite good as well and carry a lot of books. When it comes to delivery times, it will depend on if they have it in stock, if not, expect a longer time of delivery. There is also Laterna (www.laternabooks.com), haven't used them before.
I will try walahi.com based on your good recommendation. Thanks for the info.

Romance / Re: [poll] Would You Prefer to Marry a Virgin? by Musmus(f): 4:16pm On Aug 13, 2007
Hmnn, this is interesting. As I sit here reading all the replies, I am filled with mixed feeling. I am a 31year old female and I had promise myself to keep my virginity till i get married. Well, I thought I would be married by now, but the reality is that I am not. I dont know if the ladies that are claiming to be virgins and want to wait till marriage are about my age, however, I must say that when you get to a certain age, your hormones get the best of you, no matter how much you desire to wait till marriage. It is easier for ladies in their 20s to want to wait, but what happens when you get into your 30s? I tried till this point and had to give it all up yesterday! As I sit here reading all these threads, I am filled with mixed emotions, on one hand that I gave it up to the man I love and on the other hand filled with the fear of what if it does not work out? then I have given all of me, but how long could I have held on to it?, I wonder if there are any other ladies in my shoes!

Hi all, I am relocating to nigeria from Canada and will be working in a management position on the island. I know we are a bit backward here in Canada when it comes to fashion. Any ideas or heads up on the fashion trend in the corporate world in Lagos? I will really appreciate some feedback.
Thanks a lot.

I see quite a number of Torontonians here.
Ezinwannem:

@gbeborun , Toronto is the most diversed city in the world and Canada is the most diversed in the world.(do your research).

I agree with you. Canada, especially TDOT is the place to be.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Interview Wt Glo by Musmus(f): 12:55am On Sep 25, 2006
Hi Ky_Lami,
The best way to answer this is to tell them about your current career/position, your past experience and what you have achieved and what your goals are for the future, i.e

I currently work as, (tell what the position is and what you do in one sentence), in the past, I have worked as, where i achieved/handled, for the next step in my career, I will like to be, (most of the time, this should be directly related to the position you are applying for. I hope this helps.
