Who did fight if the answer is Hanzo my reply is that he wasn't alone and Hanzo got tired of killing ninjas.[/quote]jiraiya has always been the one to lead the packs during the war. orochimaru happens to be a genius who was favored more by hiruzen. an healthy orochimaru was put under genjutsu by itachi, beaten in taijutsu by hiruzen. the only thing he's gud at is striking fear in2 his opponents(imagine if u were to fight an assassin and a zombie i know u wud find fighting a zombie as creepy). on itachi or no itachi......the overated amaterasu has yet to kill an individual in naruto. karin survived the burning, raikage 4ght with his hand ablazed 4 some minutes b4 cutting his hand. amaterasu can be dodged and seal just as jiraiya sealed one in his scroll.

who told u guys that itachi didnt want to fight jiraiya. Itachi displayed what i called logic. A position where u av 50% chance shud not be handle with levity. kakashi was placed under tsukiyomi, kurenai was genjutsuized by dsame itachi. from anime pic of both the sannins jiraiya seems to lead the packs while tsunade nd orochimaru are placed by his side. orochimaru is a genius but jiraiya is a damn gusty ninja. and dont 4get he taught some of the best ninjas in history... nagato, yahiko, konan, minato, naruto.

cnwamo: Orochimaru, in as much as i dont really like him but for the fact that he took on both sannin without his hands shows that he's much better not to mention his love for forbidden jutsu

u did noticed that he was eventually pumelled by tsunade meanwhile jiraiya couldnt perform much due to the effect of the poison tsunade gave him. and dont 4get kabuto helped orochi by making use of tsunade weakness(fear of blood).

for those saying jiraiya aint a sage please can u guys find it in ur heart to repeat the exact word minato said about naruto when he enter the sage mode in the just concluded manga chapter....... who remembered what pein said about jiraiya during their fight im which jiraiya was binding his two hands to gather enough chakra to summon the great sages. kakashi even said only jiraiya was able to master the sage techniques in the whole village of konoha. jiraiya only blemish was that his physical appearance do change to a toad-like features when in the mode with webbed feet, broad nose and puffed skin which jiraiya said it makes him look uncool with galz.

Its only a senjutsu dat cause damage to jubito*since senjutsu was not created by the so6p*. On orochimaru's having a sage mode......according to kabuto orochi was not able to master the sage art because of his body while jiraiya mastered the frog sage mode but obtain imperfect features relating to a toad like rough skins and puffed skins unlike naruto who mastered it completely with perfect features which pa made an xcellent remark of. the only person dat could be of help with the xception of hashi is juugo. his abilities are senjutsu but jubito is going to speedblitz him if e tries making contact. i tink pa and ma shud b summoned by naruto to help with the gathering of nature chakra since naruto is now in gud terms with kurama.

i think hashirama sage came to being when he mastered nature chakra. he's a kenkai genkai(water plus earth) but his affinity with nature chakra made trees out of his techniques. 4 more clarification check when naruto first mastered the control of the kyubi his chakra affected yamato wood style element. i think this is the more reason why madara is stalling hashi 4rm joining the battle.
