Ediozi Odi, a Nigerian human trafficking kingpin, has been sentenced to 129 years imprisonment in addition to 6 life sentences in Pretoria, South Africa. Underage victims are from poor homes and were promised a better life, but had no idea that they were entering his brothel - a house disguised as a barbershop.

Once inside, the girls were immediately forced to smoke highly addictive drugs manufactured and sold by Odi. Once the victims were exposed to the drug, they were immediately hooked and would do anything to get their hands on it. The girls, mostly aged 13 and 14, told the court that once high on the drugs, Odi himself raped them “to teach them the tools of the trade” as an initiation into the sex trade.

According to the report, the victims were locked up in the house for the duration of their stay, while Odi send his workers to prowl the streets for prospective clients. They were also locked up in a dungeon (pictured) under the floor of the house whenever the police raided.

The girls were paid for their prostitution by means of drugs and they hardly got any food. The brothel master took all their proceeds.

A Nigerian National, Nzemeka Ezims was arrested for alleged public fraud via loading false information online as well as allegedly running racketeering and money-laundering scams.

The Immigration Police Bureau chief, Sompong Chingdoung, told reporters that the Nigerian suspect was arrested for alleged public fraud via loading false information online.

Deputy Commander For Investigation with the Immigration Police, Pol Colonel Sathit Prom-uthai accused Ezims of running a money-laundering business by exporting goods to Africa and providing an underground money-exchange service. The arrest warrant was issued for the romantic scam the man reportedly involved in from June to September 2018, which led to 13 victims losing a combined Bt2.9 million (About N32.2million)).

Since the bank accounts used in the crime were linked and led to the arrest of a Thai woman who withdrew cash to wire to other members of the gang, police were able to zero in on five Nigerians, including Ezims, and five Thais.

Four Nigerians were arrested and transferred to Accra Regional Police Command on Tuesday September 10, after torturing and disfiguring their Ghanaian house help. The pummeled househelp was saved after his cries attracted residents of East Legon, where the Nigerians lived. Joy News’ Latif Iddrisu reported that the victim’s head had increased to about twice its original size before he got help.

“We heard the victim crying out saying ‘this evening they are going to bury me in a septic tank.’ “When we rescued the boy his head was like the head of three of us put together. And his arm had become like those of four people put together. “They had beaten him so much. What the Nigerians have done today a Good Samaritan said.

It was learnt that effort to gain access into the apartment was met by stiff resistance by the Nigerians. One of the rescuers who sustained a bottle wound in his palm, said he was told by the Nigerians that he was interfering in a private matter.

The Kogi State National Assembly/State Assembly Election Petition Tribunal has quashed the victory of Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi West Senatorial district. Melaye (PDP) was declared winner in the February election by INEC but Senator Smart Adeyemi (APC) approached the tribunal, challenging INEC declaration on three grounds of irregularities, over voting and non compliance with the electoral acts.

On Tribunal judgement. No cause 4 alarm at all. Even if it went my way they will still go to the Appeal Court. Our mandate can not be taken. We will get judgment at the Appeal Court. There will be fresh election in Kogi West bc I will be Governor. For my Senate mandate no shaking.
