Femi Fani-Kayode, former Minister of Aviation has hailed the removal of Festus Adebayo as the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Senate President Ahmad Lawan.

Lawan took the decision, barely 48 hours after appointing Adedayo as Special Adviser on Media and Publicity. This came after some supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) kicked against the appointment.

A woman is lucky to be alive after being thrown out of a speeding vehicle in Lagos.

Ifeoma Nwaoma boarded a commercial bus at Iyana-Ipaja around 2pm on Friday. Unknown to her, it was a bus operated by criminals known as one-chance. Four men and an elderly woman were already in the bus before she got in.

Weah arrived for the meeting around 11.30 a.m.

It is unclear, the agenda of the closed-door meeting.

The Liberian president, who is currently facing socio-political challenges at home, had on Wednesday witnessed Nigeria’s Democracy Day event held at the Eagle Square on Wednesday.

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was among Nigerian leaders that have arrived at the Eagles Square venue of the 2019 National Democracy Day celebration. He arrived at the venue around 9.22a.m.

Those already at the Eagles Square venue are the Ooni of Ife, Enitan Ogunwosi II, former Senate President, Ken Nnamani, Aliko Dangote and Femi Otedola, Jim Ovia.

Former governor of Kano State, Senator Kabiru Gaya, APC, South who is aspiring for the position of Deputy Senate President has arrived the Lobby. He arrived 7.45am.

Lawmakers-elect of the 9th Assembly are arriving the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, which is the meeting point, ahead of their movement to the National Assembly complex.

It was observed that about 20 coaster buses are on ground to convey them to the National Assembly. Men of the Sergeant-at-Arms and the Road Safety were seen on ground coordinating the movement.

While few of the lawmakers lodged at the hotel, many of them were seen arriving in their vehicles. The inauguration is billed for 10.am.

A former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, and the Church of Satan clashed on Twitter on Monday over a former New York City prosecutor, Linda Fairstein.

Fani-Kayode had taken to his social media handle to lambast Fairstein who led the prosecution of the Central Park Five case, wherein five teenagers, four African-American and one Hispanic, were wrongfully convicted for the 1989 rape and assault in Central Park of a white female jogger.
