So I came across this and thought I should get y'all opinions here as well.

Do you think it's right to still give out your number to new "toasters" when in a relationship?
Some woman say it's 'not putting all your eggs in one basket'. And guys say 'incase the present girl misbehaves'

What's your thought on this? Should we just stick to one and shut everyone out? Or just open new doors for other guys/girl. wink

Can you keep putting on one shirt for a long time?
Of course not.It is an attitude in most creation to sample and keep an extra for rainy days.Though not all persons do keep to multiple dating, but in modern time unlike before, the value in companionship had been long buried.
So the fear of the unknown saturates almost every mind of a couple, and that loud voice that keeps telling one to sample other guys/girls just to satisfy an innate urge of "yes I can get whosoever I want"

Jobs/VacanciesRe: A Candidate Didn't Do Well In Her Interview But She Was Hired by Mutuwa(m): 8:05am On Oct 25, 2017
wristbangle:
I culled this story from an hiring manager in LinkedIn which would inspire most especially the unemployed.

A Candidate didn't do well in the interview. I still HIRED her.

Here's why.

Generally at the end of an interview, the interviewer will ask the interviewee if he or she has any questions.

She asked these 3 questions to HR Manager. It was pitiful to see her struggling to answer them.

1. What are the company's growth plan and strategy for the next 5 years?

2. Why should I work for your organization?

3. What are the weaknesses of your company and how do you see this position contributing to strengthening those weaknesses?

The HR Manager wasn't impressed but as the hiring manager I had the final say. I ended up hiring her and she did rock the boat but she helped the team and me as a leader to grow.

Interviewing numerous candidates over the years has taught me:

*Sometimes the best employees don't make good first impressions.
*Acing an interview and performing on a job are two different things.
*Strong employees intimidate weak managers.

Do you agree?

Austria today made history by electing the world's youngest president who is 31 years old.

His name is Sebastian Kurz, he is just 31 years old and with him is his girlfriend Susanne.

Before todays election, he was the country's foreign minister.

While my generation are contended with being ass lickers, praise singers and Special assistants on social media in Nigeria, our age mates else where are disrupting the status quo, pushing for innovation, changing the narrative and pushing for the new frontier.

From Facebook to Snapchat and Taxify, these tech giants were founded by millennial who are members of my generation.

Mark Zukerberg is just 32 years old and the youngest billionaire in the world.

The bar has been raised in Austria that elected a 31 years old man as its leader today.

A 31 years old man in Nigeria is probably in his parents house, unemployed and broke, eating free food and not bothered.

The 31 old Nigerian man is contended supporting politicians (who directly or indirectly put us in d mess we r in) on Facebook without seeing the nexus between the failed leadership and present unemployment predicament.

I weep for my generation! Some of us are wasting away our youths forgetting that time waits for no one.

The condition in Nigeria is not helping matters though and then my generation are not ready to push for change.

I ask myself and other young people reading this, what are you doing with your life?

Are you happy with the way Nigeria is at the moment?

What are you doing to push for change?

Thought provoking and forwarded as received.

Jared77:
I was prompted to open this thread after witnessing on many accounts, the most recent one being DeadRat's thread, how guys in this section of NL have religiously taken to assickling the ladies so much so that there's almost nothing left of manhood.

You see guys sucking up to ladies in all kinds of perverse and indecent manner, ranging from labelling below average girls beautiful, to rushing to support them with lightspeed whenever an argument occurs, sparing no thought for manhood.

What could be wrong? Are the guys so sex-starved they can barely spare a second to think the instant they see a female moniker? Are they so lacking in self-esteem? I am not understanding.

Little wonder the ladies are so rude and dish out insults on slightest provocation.

This is because they have lost respect for the men here as they themselves have shown that they are at par with street dogs in civilisation.

It's a pity that dignity has been dumped inside the bin in exchange for a paltry few minutes of online sexual gratification.

Which way nairaland?

PoliticsRe: Debate On Mrs. Aisha Ahmad's Choice Of Dressing ( Deputy Governor Of CBN,) by Mutuwa(m): 3:23pm On Oct 08, 2017
smilek:
I didn't want to dabble in this petty debate of Mrs. Aisha Ahmad's choices of what to wear, following her nomination as Deputy Governor of CBN, which is driving our underachieving men nuts, and which, they argue, fall below their moral expectation from a Muslim woman, but this clarification may make the sincerely insular characters see why she is not an invention of anyone:

Aisha came from a place and people that enable the rise of strong women, almost to the point of matriarchy. The Nupe are culturally respectful of the choices their women make, noting the history of female singers like Hajiya Lolo during and after the colonial rule to present-day Aliya Pelemi and even down through politicians like Senator Zainab Kure.

These women were, and are, revered for their talent, their intellect, their wealth, their education, their wisdom, their skills, their philanthropy - their substance. The musicians have a band of all-male drummers and all-female dancers, who all defer to the female band leaders. Sometimes I wonder whether my mum too, who preferred gele to hijab, could have survived this male-privileging labyrinth as an itinerant trader if she had come from a people who prefer their women chained with words at home. And I'm proud to be from a place that does not disrespect their women or police then rudely like these bleeding chauvinists, who possibly have not prayed today or in weeks, raising fake credentials of their qualifications as self-appointed litigators of God.

Let this woman, who's of course married, exhibit her right to not pander to your rude attempt to tell her what to wear and how to live. What's even funnier is, some of the clowns attacking her are probably seeking a way to see her for help, and shamelessly they'd say "Ran ki ya dade, Malama!" - Long may you live, Madam! - as they beg for a thousand Naira to feed the baby factories they have chained at home.

The loan was meant to be deducted from her monthly salaries. Lawyers in the house can she make a case in the court. Since she didn't resign but the bank ask her to go,invariably the bank should also forfeit the loans since they terminated her appointment.
Do you know the contents of her employment contract?it will go a long way to make a case for her,if any favourable and advantaged clause can be found..

Banks and some experienced private companies are crafty when drawing up employment contracts.
They hire and fire with reckless discretion.

EducationRe: 6 Things You Are Doing That Is Killing You by Mutuwa(m): 7:14pm On Oct 07, 2017
dagreensblog:
We are all familiar with the Biblical saying that there are ways that seems right in the eyes of men but, the end is destruction. This is very true in the sense that most a times we become so comfortable with certain way of life that we see as being "Normal" and Ok, we tend to look behind those little but vital things that are crucial to our well being.
In this very post, I shall be discussing some of these issues.

1. You Are Trying To Be Someone Else: Your life could be a mess simply because you have abandoned "You" for a pseudo life and you just may not know it yet.
You see, having someone as a mentor is quite different from copying and trying to be Exactly like someone. It gets worst when you are doing it to please Others or Some persons. There is nothing as awesome as being oneself, take your time today and rediscover who you are, learn You!, live You! and love You!. Remember, ''Being yourself in a world that is constantly changing is a Virtue ".

2.You Are Not In Talking Terms With God : Having a good relationship/Communication with God does not necessarily mean that we have to be as righteous as a Saint?! The holy Books made it clear that as humans we are bound to cross the red lines so to say, and God as Divine and Immortal is always there to understand.
Now, I don't want to sound too religious because am Not but, the truth is that cutting off communication with God probably as a result of our shortcomings, that you now see it as normal, is very detrimental to our well being as a person.
Believe it or not, God remains the author and finisher of our faith and by extension, our fate.
Communicate with him from time to time and your life will be a lot more better.

3.You Say More Than Enough : Speaking as a form of communication is something that we do every now and then, with friends, family and Aquintances. There is absolutely nothing wrong with engaging people in discussions but, the question is how healthy are the things that come out of your mouth?
It all depends on knowing what to say and saying what you know!. We must understand that not every discussion is worth contributing and not every of our contribution is worth exaggerating and Expanding. Silence they say is golden but it doesn't mean you should be a dumby when you know you have something meaningful to chip in. I am of the opinion that we must learn when to speak and when to stop speaking, Very important.

4.You Dress Wrongly: I won't fail to write on this as it has become a big time issue in our society today. Our dressing is a determining factor in so many ways, it goes with the saying that 'we are addressed by the way we dress'. Let's get this straight, you don't need to have like two wardrobes of clothes before you are able to dress fine, one can have two pairs of cloth and still look good and smart any other day. Dressing well has to do with knowing when to wash your clothes, iron them so that you can readily put them on to whatever place you wish to go. Know when to take them to the tailor for adjustment, to fit in to your size properly while giving you the needed space within. Know the type of cloth to wear to a particular function such as Weeding ceremony, book lunching, Seminars and so on. Learn to look neat and smart not because I said so but, because your well being is dependent on it. Trust me.

5.You Don't Rest Properly: There are many approach to understanding the word 'Rest', I choose to write about Sleep as the ultimate way of having a good rest. Not having a good sleep robs our bodies of much needed resource and time to process the food we have eaten, according to experts, most of us need between seven(7) to eight (cool hours of sleep nightly. Growing children and adolescents need even more. We need to stop giving the excuse of having so much academic stuffs to handle or our job/work being too demanding that we have to skip having a proper night rest. The question is are these things more important than your health? The answer is unarguably NO, any engagement that denies you of sleep up to seven hours daily is not really Worth it, yes you read right! We must take our rest very important especially night rest and allow our body system the required resources and time to operate most effectively.

6.You don't Exercise: Many people, especially in Africa, Pay less attention to body exercises. Some of us only engage in exercise when it becomes a matter of life and death, like your Doctor has Advised you to start doing it to stay out of a certain health problem.
Human beings are made to walk, run, jump as well as lift up objects from one place to another due to the structure of our muscles and joints which are built to allow these natural activities and movement with ease and strength.
The truth is that without exercise, our muscles and joints starts atrophy. The results are not usually instant, it takes time before one realizes He/She is not feeling good physically like before.
Most times we are also psychologically affected and our self esteem is greatly affected too.
Professionals recommend at least 25 minutes daily exercise of our body (ideally in the morning). Proper exercise is very different from engaging in strenuous jobs/work that we sweat profusely.

(Copyright© www.dagreensblog..com )

There are many ways we could have our body exercise such as Jogging, Running, Dancing, playing football or other sporting activity as well as some little but effective muscular workouts that could be done even in the comfort of your apartment. Boost your confidence and body flexibility by starting exercise today and save your self from unforeseen health issues.

Did I miss some points? I will love to hear from you. Please Use the comment box below and share with us your Contributions and Views.
your number one point says it all. This point alone may even give rise to all other points adumbrated, save maybe for the exercise part.
