Travel / Re: U.S. Immigration Questions: Ask A U.S. Consular Officer by muyiwaojo1(m): 1:40pm On Jul 14, 2015
Hello VO, I eventually wrote to nvc(like u suggested) to make enquiry about the status of my case that has been pending/under review since march 2014 that I wwas being told by the consular that my petition will have to go through further review.
Here is the reply I got

Subject: RE: EAC1390186149 / LGS2014516018 / I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Thank you for your email. Any further inquiries regarding the processing of this case should be directed to DHS/USCIS as the case is considered closed in Lagos. Contact information can be found at www.uscis.gov.

Sincerely,

Please, what should I do.because anytime I check with uscisn they always say its still under review since march 2014. I'm sad.

To quote an earlier response that applies here as well: Please e-mail LagosIV@state.gov and ask what's happening with the case. You won't get a detailed response, but it's likely that the message will be forwarded to me. At that point I'll contact the person handling the case and ask for a status update, which sometimes makes things go slightly faster.[/quote]

Hello V O, how are you today? Please, I wrote some monthsa ago asking that my spouse in the US filled a petition for me since 2013,it was approved and I went for interview march 2014.during the interview, the consular said she's not sure our relationship is bonafide (wonder why), and that she will leave the case open for further review. Till date, I haven't heard anything. Anytime we make an enquiry from USCIS, they always say its under review. It seems its taking too long. What might be the problem. My spouse is getting so worried ,so I'm I . Thanks

Good Morning Sir/Ma, this is my first time of posting anything on nairaland. I really appreciate what u guys are doing here. I have an american citizen spouse that came to nigeria to visit me in sept 2012,and went back to america and filed for me jan 2013. After waiting for so long, the petition was approved by USCIS within 10 months or there abouts, and I did all neccessary test such as medicals, police reports and so on. I went for the interview in lagos march 2014with all evidence (such as pictures, emails and so on) . Everything seems to be going on fine on the day of interview until the lady that was interviwing me said 'she's sorry that she will have to return the petition to the USCIS for re approval, that she's not sure the relationship is bonifide, and but the case is still opened for re approval. So, may28 this year, I was notified that the case has gotten to USCIS for it to be reviwed whether to re approve or dis approve the petition. This is september and I haven't heard anything from them. My spouse is so angry and almost getting tired of waiting for 2yrs now.I'm a guy,so I'm still coping a little coz I have faith, but she's over there in US and she's not happy we are apart. This is really heartbreaking. I don't know what to do to speed them up to approve the petition so as to go be with my spouse. Thanks.muyi!!!
