A fighter jet and a passenger plane do have different heat signature but might not appear different in a radar. They use Altitude and speed to differentiate them. There is always an outside chance that these mistake do happen. They can be mistaken and it also depends on how advance the radar system is. In the heat and overzealousness anything can happen. Some few years ago a US fighter plane mistakenly drop bombs on US soldiers in Afghanistan in daylight... My point is no matter how advance your tech is, stupid errors still occur

It was not an accident. They intentionally shot it down. When Iran attacked the joint US-Iraqi army base, they shot dozens of rockets that were surface-to-surface missiles. But for the airline, it was hit by a surface-to-air missile. If you fire a surface-to-air missile you were definitely planning to hit something in the sky. Because the trajectory, the precision, the timing etc everything has to be consciously set to make a successful hit. So it was not an accident. They did it on purpose. Their only regret now is that it killed more Iranians than everybody else.

Iran has no tech to read the black box ....countries like France etc have that capability ....so by default Iran should invite capable hands but refusing not to will only grow suspicion. Us can't read the black box of an airplane without involving the manufacturers

what exactly have you shown now?...Iran don't have the technology to read a black box and it is widely known but you call that propaganda because it doesn't fit your narrative...The trump part and I don't even get how that fits my argument. It is now widely known with images from radar and other military Intelligence that Iran surface to air missile was responsible for hitting the plane which is very likely was made in error. It has happened in the past if you check history, no matter how advance your air missile defense system is error still occur . In 1988 US mistakenly brought down an Iranian commercial airline...in 1986 a Russian missile mistakenly brought down a South Korean airliner...even most recently in the Ukrainian war a Russian surface to air missile mistakenly brought down a dutch airliner and these are advanced defense systems...so what is your point ?
