Abia will complain say na dem go schl pass, IMO, anambara, Enugu, ekiti, osun, Lagos, Kaduna..... etc. FCC na FCC. You are competing amongst your state. No state is a zombie state. Let's stop stereotyping!

Before the interview I contacted a distant relative of mine though a retiree of the corporation that was based in Lagos. At that time he was encouraging me claiming that the recruitment seems to be the most transparent that he has seen and he believes this time it will be merit based. Lately I contacted him complaining of the delay and his utterances are not to encouraging anymore. He thought things were getting better but later realized that the corporation has returned back to its status quo, in summary he said slots were actually being sold like how it has always happened... He was disappointed....I know there would be merit but the corruption in our system is so bad and those saying the present government has changed the system, in reality it is a big lie....Slot buying and all those acts that occur in federal parastatals and agencies are still going on. If only one can go in and see how decayed the system is. I still hope for the best for I know of someone that went in the last recruitment without knowing anyone.

When people here talk of slot buying and stuffs like that, it is no lie...it actually happens...God help us in this country

so it is hard to get in like schools like Harvard, MIT, Stanford etc ?

Make a list of potential schools first. I recommend The University of Southern California, Brandeis University, Stanford, and many other top schools, Then pick tier 2-3 schools. With high SAT, you will certainly get full ride. Edward Waters College. Use google and you will find a lot of other schools.
Is University of Southern California a tier 1 school ?

Yorubas should know that they will never have AMOTEKUN NOR ODUDUWA REPUBLIC and neither will they ever get the presidency in 2023. The Fulani will continue to rule until you yorubas feel the pain Igbos felt and see the vision they saw years ago. Bunch of educated illiterate cowards.
When will Africa learn. We keep on hating on ourselves. Why insult a whole ethnic group. Do all the Yorubas have same ideology as the ones you dislike. Every part of Africa the black man keeps on hating on himself due to ethnicity or religion. If not stupidity what else is it. Yoruba man go say Igbo man is stupid and vice versa...samething with the hausas...the cycle of hate continues with all tribes claiming superiority. Same reason all most all Africa countries are in chaos...and the white man watches us from afar eating popcorn and laughing at us, sometimes taking the place of a false peace maker...The black man might really be cursed

And how many Islamic scholars have been killed by Terrorists for speaking against them??Talking about no xtian militant group murders?? I'm sure you've heard about New Zealand shooting? Most of the Xtians in Nigeria and around the globe were happy, the killing of Muslims in Palestine is always accompanied with cheering from the Xtians, the Burma and china incident shows glaringly that most Xtians though Cowards and can not take the Bull by the Horn are terrorists apologist(I say once again that you'all are coward, Bloody deluded hypocrites). I with totality condemn any sort of extremism, violence, crime and terrorism and only if we all have this kinda attitude will the world get better.
The Burma and Chinese incidents are they done by Christians?...Palestine and Israeli conflict is not a thing of religion but nationalism. Mind you they are Muslims arabs in Israel.

I find it funny that when terrorist acts are done many muslims either fear or willingly ignore to condemn it. Muslims go ahead to justify these by saying US is bombing Iraq or US is bombing Muslim nations therefore terrorism is being done by Christians...imagine that reasoning. I and you know that US go to war with these nations which might be or might not be justifiable. The bone of contention is people killing you because you are of another religion. You say Christians are apologist but you fail to say that Christians have been targeted throughout history in Nigeria.

I was born and brought up in the North. All my growing years any slight misunderstanding they start killing Christians for no reason. Either someone accuse someone of using the holybook, someone insulted the prophet etc. In 2006 a cartoon depicting prophet Mohammed was drawn in Denmark. Precisely February 18 2006, targeted killing of Christians and priests happened in northern Nigeria. It all started from protest like it always does. During the Sharia issue in 1999-2001, same thing...killing Christians.

In Borno presently if Bokoharam is to stop vehicles, when they notice you are christian they immediately kill you or abduct you for a ransom...Islamophobia is the fault of Muslims, come out and condemn these attacks. The muslims clerics sometimes hardly speak against it. I know of the Newzealand attack by so called christian man or so. But call a newzealand attack and I will call a 100 muslim terrorist attack. To top it all, Muslims are very intolerant. The only countries in the world with blasphemy laws are all muslim nations..in Pakistan a number of times they have sentenced many to death because it was claim they insulted the prophet or whatever. Same as Saudi etc....funny enough Muslims go to Europe and try to fight for their rights to wear hijab, to pray etc but when a non- Muslim come to Saudi or so they won't give him rights to worship or do his thing...why?...why are you people too intolerant.

I feel Islamic scholars should together condemn all these and try to reform Islam... Everyday on the news bomb, killings etc...see the news of the new Ansaru group or Bokoharam using the Quran to justify their killings....probably you people will say US or Israel is behind it as you always do...Islam!

but from what you said it is mostly northern names that were used to replace those from the south to show federal character...Chai!!!

Fellow Nigerian, what basis of argument were u talking about? What if ur name was among the names used to replace the ones removed.. would you still argue??
If those initially removed where merited and those used to replace them was just to show federal character, it brings an argument. From your assertion you claim some southern names were replaced with some northern names to balance the list or so

APL will be out SOON as the GMD said.. but before then, let me drop an info I learnt about recently from my HR Source.. it has nothing to do with the release but rather with a very weird method applied in correcting the first list..

She claimed that a first list was submitted sometime in October but it was met with disapproval from Top Guns in government causing the initial delays and rancours.. mostly because it was claimed to favour more of the west and south and not enough of the north... According to her, on that day she informed us that the GMD called a very short emergency meeting after the Quiz Event, it was resolved that the list should be modified after which online documentation should follow..

.. she said they (HR DEPARTMENT) consequently proceeded to remove some names from some states in order to balance it by adding some names in order states.. NOW the weird gist is, CAN u imagine the method they applied in choosing the new names that were added... she said that in order to be fast with the selection and to make it fair, they logged into the dashboards of the candidates with high scores that were not selected before, then they checked the number of times each candidate had logged in since the interview and the regularity with which they logged in and from there, they selected over hundreds of new names based purely on how often they frequented their dashboard. when my boss asked her why,, she said since the candidates in question all had the necessary high score, they couldn't pick all, they needed a particular number and so it was down to luck... and for the method, she said the logic was that those who were continually checking their dashboard showed that they were really interested in the job and were eager to know if their status had changed but those who didn't log in oftenly might not care much bout the job..

mehn, I was shocked dat day.. that is how many of us here would be called by luck.. from dat day, I began to believe more in prayers ... people who were not in the original list, see how Fate turned tins around for their favour...... just with a weird reason of logging in to ur dashboard oftenly.. that's it... we wait.
I don't know what to make of this but if true it means someone's name was removed due to federal character but he merited it...I think this should serve as a basis for argument, why should someone's fate hang on the inability of another group but not purely merit...hmmm

By your Profile, these are ambitious schools. The best way to break into these schools is to find a potential supervisor in your department.

These aren't safe schools to throw in your applications without a faculty's recommendation.

The best way to select school is to list them out using the AMS Rule:
Ambitious
Moderate
