Nigeria cannot compete with the U.S on oil export except Nigeria wud fix the fuel price by itself but the us wud always find a way. But who cares Nigeria had its chance but was busy chasing ghosts fighting amongst itself.

So many state ministries wud cut cost because of falling revenues which might lead to them retrenching there staffs, demand wud also fall leading to poor profit and reduced salaries/wages and sacking of workers.
Price of imported stuffs wud also go up... infact the list is endless.

thats not a city... thats a developed village.
But it can be classified as a suburb but never a city.

even some southsouth states that people are putting high hopes on that they wud survive it might not turn out that way... Apart from Rivers and Bayelsa that has alot of oil and gas within its territories the rest southsouth states most of there oil comes offshore.
If they agitate for true federalism the north wud agitate for the onshore offshore oil dichotomy and they wud loose all the oil wells in there coast.
A state like Akwa ibom wud return back to the dark days , Delta dats already poor and impoverished wud become worse.
The only thing most southaouth states wud have to bank on is there ports and not all wud be viable.

What does a state like Osun want to use to run itself in tge effect of true federalism, if despite the oil revenue they receive they dont mk impact is it when the oil revenue is gone that they want to mk impact, same with some northern states, state like ebonyi and Edo and all d western states apart from Lagos and Ogun and Ondo.

Not every state is richly endowed whether with solid minerals or with oil and gas, and some states are yet to attain that level of development to stand on there own.
Right now its only the current system that can sustain Nigeria, until Nigeria fully diversifies it's economy.

If true federalism was to come into play apart from Oil rich states like Rivers, Akwa ibom and Delta am not sure of any other state that will survive.

Okorocha is fighting non-existing enemies in Orlu, enemies of his imagination, as he denies Orlu area the development infrastructures it deserves as the second most populated town in Imo state.

what does Okorocha want to gain or loose by fighting Orlu?

let them move the maritime university to another state abeg, Delta state is not yet ready for development.
The other time it was PZ now maritime university and the worst is when they site it there every second there would be fight over where to locate campus, over how they would settle community over rubbish irresponsible things .

How many banks were in Orlu 2011? how many fast foods? how many hotels? The Mandax aka Millionaireman guy has been condemning Okorocha right from the day he assumed office in 2011 and he is still lying there's no major development claiming 45km Orlu-Owerri road is 1.5km and 4km Amaigbo road is 500m. How long is Orlu to Urualla? Very funny individual.

Okorocha decided to build a new Stadium outside the city center in order to spread development and expand the city.


The picture below is the stadium Mandax claimed was dismantled. It looks more like a school field and this picture was taken the day of commissioning by Achike Udenwa. Lol!

Abagworo shall tell us Rocha is dualizing Owerri-Orlu road. A road to connect to Rochas Ideato home, of course.

But Orlu's economy has been deliberately wrecked, hacked to near death by Rochas administration, as Rochas government scratched away the surfaces of very important roads in Orlu and abandoned them in the last four years.

All establishments that bring money to Orlu have been stifled in the last four years, so what's the dual carriage way meant for?

I know back then when I used to go home when passing tru concord it was just a big old building with average environs, not only dat d only reasonable things u see in imo state used to be just mechanic villages, dirty markets and sm other things. Back then anybody from Owerri who went to a place like Lagos or Ph wud start marvelling, but now all those things hv changed we now hv a city we can be proud of.
If people show places in there states we also have fine places to show of too.
If tourism wud drive it by d hotels so be it, tourism might be the new leading force that wud bring industrialization to the state because some of the things needed by the hotels need to be supplied so we wud have industries for that.
Let us just play our cards well in the Nigerian political sphere and look for d way to grab wats best for us, if other igbo states want to be fighting a phantom fight or want to be stuck in the past its there loss not ours.
Imo state is for Nigeria.

The red soil is not a bad thing and is found as you move northwards and extends across that line from Cross River to Ogun State. As you move north from Port Harcourt via Owerri the red soil starts at Orji and Amakohia.
