IPUKULU MARINES vs DRASTIK MEASUREZ FC
26TH NOVEMBER, 2011 AT THE IPUKULU WATERSIDE STADIUM[/center]

A fixture to keep an eye on for this weekend is the massive derby between two South-South based teams who have battled against each other in previous competitions before but meet each other for the first time in the Nairaland Fantasy Cup. The Ipukulu Marines and Drastik Measurez FC are two of the greatest clubs to come out of the South-South. Ipukulu having reached and achieved major heights in the Fantasy Cup while Drastik Measurez have been well known but gained promotion into the Elite Compettition just this season.

   Both teams lost narrowly to their opponents in their previous outings and will be wanting this victory to further their chances of qualifying for the knockout stages of the competition. Ipukulu, who are 24th on the table and flirting with relegation are in a much dire situation than their opponent, who sit at 15th on the table with very bright chances of qualification. FPL News met with Ipukulu manager, Captain Amangala, a few days ago, and this is what he had to say, '
   
''I can't catch a break in FA Cup this season. . .If I lose my next game, I'm withdrawing Ipukulu Marines from the Nairaland FA Cup.''

This was quite a statement from the normally boastful Captain Amangala, who at the beginning of the season claimed he will win both leagues without much ado. We definitely do not want to see the end of a team as vibrant as Ipukulu Marines this season. . .surely, there is still hope for them, but can they overcome a team which is destined for sure greatness?

Miguel DeVillas, manager of Drastik Measurez FC, had this to tell the press in a Pre-Match Conference

     ''My team has really done well this season. This is our debut season in the FA Cup and we already caused a few stirs. . .ruffled a few feathers. We defeated a few big clubs in the league to get to where we are, even the league leaders lost to us. this shows that we are a force to reckon with. as for Ipukulu, i am sorry to say this, but we are going to a defeat them. it will be sad to lose Captain Amangala if he withdraws his team after the loss. . .we are really going to miss him and his boastful antics. but i have told my boys to go for nothing other than a win . . .and that, they will do''
