i bought 1,850 on friday
sharp sand=20k for 6 tire tipper and 22k for 10 tire tipper
blocks=6 inches 140 ,9 inches 160

i understand from my engr that there is a type of sand call "jitata sand" and its 55k for a 10 tyre tipper but in fact i just ignore the man like say i no hear am at all.lol,went with two 6 tire tippers as against 1 ten tire cos in my earlier building project i discovered late on that this was cheaper and has more quantity

just my 2 cents, really this is my second house building project and based on all my experiences though limited as they are as compared to what iv been reading on this thread i think that criticism of anybody project should be constructive and we should call the persons notice to any observation rather than comparing with what we r doin in our own sites,
in my earlier pix a kind hearted fellow called my attention to the height of my foundation n i immediately called the engr and it was immediately adjusted even though the engr tried to explain it away,thats what this thread is for and i say a massive thank you,
i see the prices for workmanship in lag n the east as posted here n i know we r really suffering in abuja here o,though i think we get granite n gravel cheaper here correct me if im wrong i got 18 ton for 65k to my site

Map out foundation and dig=18k
1. Cut tree=5k( there was a fallen tree on the plot)
 Police=12k( had to settle dem as someone claimed to own the banana trees inon the land and had arrested me lol for these gwari indigenes in abj)()
 Burning of bush=2k

3. Buy I tipper of stone=60k(18 ton)
4. 1 sand=25k(10 tyres)

Clear road=3.5k( for vehicles to come into the plot)
Blind foundation
1. Cement=5=11.5k
2. Workmanship=10.8k
Start laying blocks
1. Buy 400 9in=63,200k      
2. Buy 10 bags of cement=20k
3. Work=24k                      
Fill with laterite, ram n hardcore=20k(workmanship)
Supervisor=15k
Plumbing=12k(laying of pipes b4 dpc)
Laterite=30k(5k per trip of 6 tire tipper)
Hardcore=27k(9k per trip)
Carpenter n wood for dpc=6.5k(luckily the guy opposite me had just finished his plot and i just settled the workers n used the wood)

confirmed cement prices are down to 2.5k here in abj so i decided to commence my project,its a 3 bedroom and 2 bedroom bungalow all detached,went there with the engr and we discovered some illegal loggers had cut a tree and it fell on a portion of my plot ,so i had to arrange for electric saw guys to come cut it into manageable size so we can start clearing ,
total cost so far=5k

this is d most educative topic im my 3yrs of being a nlander,im about to start my own place in abuja its on a 735sqm land and though the land is irregular in shape my very talented architect was able to fit a 3bedroom and 2 bedroom bungalow,[]BEHIND THE LAND IS A LIL STREAM SO WILL NEED RETAINING WALL THERE],both detached,i have some experience on building as i have finished a project just last year in a satellite town around abuja,mararaba to be precise,this is where i intend to live n i invite all on the journey too i hope i can contribute to the education goin on here
