Politics / Re: Killings In Southern Kaduna: (Video Documentary By David Hundeyin) by Mykellio: 3:50pm On Dec 25, 2022
I am a survivor.

Lived in Angwan Doma, Kaduna South until January 2021.

Got attacked in my house at 2am, November 29, 2020 Sunday.

Gang of five heavily armed. My saving grace was money I had at home. And my devices that were off due to power outage. They took all.

Still they resolved to lock me in the bathroom of my masters ensuite bedroom and open fire on the door.

God on my side, I was on my knees. I wasn't hit.

1st police team came at dawn. Packed all the cartridges.

2nd police team came 30mins after the first to ask me questions.

They said I should bring ngn500k to track and recover funds and devices. Me that was still traumatised. I declined. They said O.Y.O for me. I said I have heard.

Long story short, someone advised me to lay low or leave the country.

I changed residence to Angwan Bijeh close to Gonin Gora. By June 3, 2021 the residence was again attacked. My neighbor was killed.

I spent the whole of 2021 treating PTSD.

I hope those who said I exaggerated my ordeal can see the brute force, resilence and maniacal heartlessness this Fulanis operate with.

I won't be able to post pictures.

If you're a Christian living in Kaduna state.

Hold God tight. Be security-conscious.

He has won it at God's time.

The outcomes are epic.

Yes. There have been World Cup winners before now.

But this has hit differently. Resonating and reverberating globally.

Perhaps, you are one of the diehard CR7 fans.

Don't let fanaticism rob you of valuable knowledge.

I presented my opinion as a student of life.

And not as a fan of Messi.

Know this and know peace.

IT IS COMPLETELY, TRASH. CONSIDERING YOUR VIEW POINT. HAVE YOU EVER WATCHED THE NIGERIAN TEAM NOT PRAYING TO GOD BEFORE AND AFTER EVERY MATCH? OKAY, PLEASE KINDLY EXPLAIN WHY NIGERIA IS YET TO LIFT THE WORLD CUP? WE DIDN'T EVEN PARTICIPATE IN THIS ONE DESPITE YOUR PERSPECTIVE OF THE GOD FACTOR.

PERHAPS MESSI STARTED EMBRACING GOD AFTER LOSING THE WORLD CUP FINALS IN 2014. WHAT EXPLANATION CAN YOU GIVE TO THE NUMEROUS LOSES BEFORE THIS VICTORY?

Praying to God alone is not equal to knowing Christ, building competence and developing character (3Cs).

You apparently lack the sapience and cerebral juice to assimilate my writeup.

Again peace unto you.

Sports / Messi Vs. CR7 G.O.A.T Debate: A Scriptural View Point by Mykellio: 11:24am On Dec 21, 2022
Hi all.

I am not a Righteousness2 wannabe. I'm just a lover of God, humanity and football.

Jesus spoke a lot in parables. Especially involving enterprise, talent maximization, competency and character development.

He used examples of farms, weddings, banquets/ feasts etc. Apostle Paul described the journey of a believer as a fight and race.

Hence, drawing important lessons from the World Cup are not out of place.

Messi built his football career on Christ, character and competence/ capacity (3Cs). Dani Alves was quoted saying Messi always talked about Almighty God.

At the end, Prov. 18:16 - the gift (talent, skill, capacity, compentence) of a man maketh room for him and bringeth him before great men (kings), Prov. 22:29 - seest thou a man diligent in his business, he shall stand before kings and not mean men - answered expressly in his life.

1Sam. 2:9 - for by strength shall no man prevail. Eccl. 9:11 - the race is not to the swift (speed), neither battle to the strong (force) ....but time (season) and chance (opportunity) happens to all men. Mbappe is fast and youthful. Yes. Ronaldo is strong and will-powered. But were this sufficient to defeat a man whose time had come?

Finally, Prov. 3:4-6 - a man can find uncommon favor in the sight of God and humans. We can call it partiality or preferential treatment. It is God's strategy for setting His people apart and ahead in life. God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble - Jms. 4:6, 1Pet. 5:6.

We live in a very arrogant, individualistic, parochial-mentality and myopic generation. Lionel Messi is a Christian but Arabs staunch conservative Muslims made his dream come true. Honored him. Crowned him the G.O.A.T.

Hence, my viewpoint is NOT for everyone. It is for the sapient, cerebral, teachable, open-minded, and discerning.

If Jesus was here today, He would say a parable this way.. behold the Kingdom of God is like a World Cup. Many champions were present. One was given great GRACE and honour. Another faced DISGRACE and dishonour.

Let he that hath an ear hear...

Politics / Re: Nigeria’s Iconic Rice Paddy Pyramids To Be Evacuated Tomorrow by Mykellio: 9:38pm On Jan 26, 2022
RIFANNigeria:
Nigeria’s Iconic Rice Paddy Pyramids to be Evacuated Tomorrow
Eight days after the unveiling of Africa’s largest pyramids of rice paddy, the pyramids are about to be evacuated to integrated millers within the country.
This was revealed in an interview by Engr. Saleh Alhassan, the Director of Administration, RIFAN, who oversaw the building of the giant pyramids. He stated that, with the magnificent pyramids, the Rice Farmers’ Association of Nigeria has converted perceived challenges to robust opportunities by installing in Nigerians the possibility of making wealth from the land.
Engr. Alhassan added that with the collaborative efforts of RIFAN and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Nigeria is self-sufficient in rice production as the country outdoes Egypt to become Africa’s largest rice-producing nation.
Meanwhile, the Director invited all and sundry to witness the evacuation process at the Abuja Centre for Commerce and Industry, Lugbe. He maintained that the evacuation process will silence naysayers who propagate malicious information concerning the iconic achievement of RIFAN and the Buhari – led administration.
The evacuation begins by 10:00 am tomorrow, 27th January 2022 and the bags of rice paddy will be channeled to 61 integrated millers within Nigeria.

Surprised and shocked that this is considered laudable and worthy of ovation.

Pyramids, or pentagon whatever shape the rice is arranged is meaningless.

1,000,000 bags of paddy rice at 100kg each (max) = 100,000,000 kg or 100,000 metric tons of paddy.

At an average milling preservation ratio (MPR) or milling recovery ratio of 65-70% from the state of the art rice milling machines available globally, we are looking at 65,000mt to 70,000mt of refined polished rice. According to http://foodtechinfo.com/foodpro/facility_types/311212_rice_milling/

70,000mt of polished rice for 200 million Nigerians is what the FGN is rolling out drums, paparazzi, trumpeting and beating chest over.

Anyway, Jesus fed multitude of 5,000 with 5 loaves and 2 fishes.

Who says Buhari can't replicate this miracle in the 21st century.

Investment / Re: Foreign Investors’ Interest In Nigeria Declines By 27.5% by Mykellio: 3:51pm On Jul 12, 2021
thebosstrevor1:
The professor is talking nonsense, saying things like inefficient power supply, naira depreciation and increased cost of production that is why no body is investing , the same nonsense he has been telling his students since 1989.

the Director-General of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dr Chijioke Ekechukwu, made some very good point than the professor.

The main issue why nvestors are not investing is mainly security and not naira depreciation, naira depreciation makes foreign investors buy assets for very cheap. Cosy of labour is very cheap in Nigeria, compared to other places and big companies do economics of scale to recoup all their investments.

How is Naira depreciation not an issue?

You transferred USD1m (NGN360,000,000) in 2020 at NGN360 to USD1.00 from your Bank in New York to your UBA account in Nigeria for business.

Fast forward to 2021 the principal amount NGN360,000,000 now is USD720,000 (@NGN500 = USD1.00) that's 28% loss on the PPP value of the Naira.

To repatriate the USD1m you must have done business worth NGN500,000,000 which is NGN140,000,000 (38% ROI) over and above the initial principal amount.

Tell me how is that attractive as an investor whether local or foreign?

How is the professor talking rubbish and you are the one making sense?

Shey you get time to dey answer me ba ? I have unlimited Data to help you Useless your time cool

Mr. @Frontail... I didn't set any point A to point anything.

I pinpointed a single location. Not a direction. There's a difference.

Now we can all see it merely boils down to having a cheap Android and daily bundle to spew thrash on intelligent threads.

Not a single iota or atom of intellectual effort.

No wonder you have over 900 meaningless posts/ comments and not one intelligent topic to your moniker.

Empty barrels really....

The mistake is mine. Good day.

They are. making sales. The problem is the bad economy under Buhari.

One of it is FOREX instability.

How do you explain having Ngn100m in your bank account which should be equivalent of Usd263,000 (Ngn380 = Usd1.00 official rate)?

You decide to change and forward to your domiciliary account. You are getting Usd260,000 thereabout (Ngn480+ = Usd1.00).

Which country in the world has multiple FX rates for one currency?

How do you expect a foreign investor to stay with such systemic discrepancies and inconsistencies

Stop saying or posting what you ain't sure of.

With regards to Kenya. They met a stiffer competition.

NAIVAS Stores...

Certainly they'd underperform. They SHOPRITE couldn't stand the heat.

Kenya is not like Nigeria. Within 2km on Nairobi-Mombasa Road. There are 3 big malls:

1. NAIVAS Shell near Hilton hotel

2. Gateway Mall also has NAIVAS Stores

3. Signature Mall also with NAIVAS.

And people don't go in snapping pics like Ikeja City Mall, Novare Ajah, Palms Lekki.

There's real purchasing power.

Please get your facts straight.

Let's celebrate the Nigerian breeds, local breed dogs (LBD), Ekuke, Nkita and all the funny names we call them here.

Here's mine - Venus...

Currently an 8 weeks old female LBD.

I see a lot of pips here look down on Nigerian breed or local breed or Ekuke.

Our LBDs just need a bit of care, attention and affection.

Give them good food.. Not just swallow and watery stew. Improve their fat and protein diet. Book them a vet appointment.

Venus is so much fun to be with.

She never allows her big sister Juno - a (10 month old) female Rott Mastiff - to rest.

There's a thread of them together https://www.nairaland.com/6029413/juno-female-rott-mastiff-venus
