MediaTek announced today its gaming-centric Helio G90 and G90T chipsets promising excellent gaming experience on a budget thanks to the cost-effective 12nm FinFET manufacturing process from TSMC. And the first benchmarks are in.



This score sheet from AnTuTu seems quite promising as the overall score is 222,282 - a score combining the CPU, GPU, UX and memory performance. When compared to some of its Qualcomm rivals, it turns out that the chipset is more powerful than the Snapdragon 730 found in the Xiaomi Mi 9T and the Samsung Galaxy A80, for example. In our database, the Snapdragon 730 on the Mi 9T scored 211,915 points.


We've also stumbled upon some benchmark results on Geekbench and all of them show around 7,000 points in multi-core performance. And although still better than the Snapdragon 730, the Geekbench listings date from April 15, so the chipset may have been since optimized even further.

It's indeed a promising duo, the Helio G90 and G90T, especially considering the price point. MediaTek promises to deliver the new chips with upcoming Xiaomi smartphones in India and something tells us that they are going to cost less than their Qualcomm counterparts

Step 1... don't play while charging, tho some people phone may get hot after a while and start lagging
2... download gfx tool from playstore, I posted the pic
3...select game version and use these settings I posted
4...click accept, then close ads if it pops up
5...click run game...
6...inside game, enter settings and make sure graphics is on smooth and frames/FPS is on extreme...(extreme will be available when u open thru gfx tool)
7...play and enjoy... remember if u don't want fps to fluctuate play without charging

You don't need to set anything next time u want to play, just open gfx tool and run game...and update gfx tool anytime it requires such

I've been playing 60fps for past 2 days now with this...played from 2am till 6.30am last night, smooth 60fps all thru...enjoy

Some would even finally settle for MIUI secretly after hoping from one AOSP rom to another. Have been using my RN5 for almost a year now... Flashed Xiaomi.eu (pure miui) rom the day it landed - smoothest, cleanest rom ever. And switching to a different rom isn't even in my wildest plans. I used Samsung for 5 years plus before switching to Mi, and in those years I flashed a lot of custom roms (from Omega rom to Paranoid android to Resurrection Remix to AOKP to PACman rom etc). And I learnt one thing: NO custom rom is as perfect as the original roms from OEMs! Forget the customizations. There're always bugs here and there compared to original roms. There's always something the the original rom does excellently and customs ones don't. Don't forget that most of these guys creating custom roms are just like you and me.. They do it at their leisure times without much critical considerations. They're not really professionals compared to the OEMs who created One UI (previously Samsung Experience and Touchwizard) for Samsung devices, Miui for Xiaomi devices, Oxygen OS for One plus devices.. The list goes on..
Look, guys if you can, stick to Miui..It was specially designed and created for Xiaomi phones for a reason. However if you can't control your urge to explore customisations & the urge to always be ahead of others, then AOSP roms (and some very customizable miui-based roms like masik, miuipro) are always there with open arms...You just have to expect random bugs.

for me 9hrs, sometimes 10..it depends on how u use it.. Brightness set at low, sure 10hrs with 3g and music and you'd be left with 10%..if you wanna play pubg, you can play on balanced + ultra for 6hrs and you'd be left with 10% from 100%
