Terrorists have reportedly killed one person and abducted 45 people in Angwan Aku community in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
It was gathered that the attack took place on Sunday morning when residents of the community were preparing to go to church to celebrate Christmas.
The terrorists stormed the village in large numbers on motorcycles and were all well-armed.
A resident in the community told TheCable, “They came around 10am on Sunday when people were preparing to go to church. There were many and they parked their motorcycles on a bush path before they entered the village, shooting sporadically.
“They went from house to house, kidnapping people. They killed one person and went with 53 people, but seven people escaped and came back.
“So, 45 people are with them,” he added.
The community is said to be far from Mararaban Kajuru, which is home to an army base.
The Kaduna police command's spokesperson, Mohammed Jalige, said he was unaware of the incident at the time of filing this report.
He did, however, say he would provide more information once the attack was confirmed.
Nigerian actor, Timini Egbuson, has recounted how the church betrayed him in the past.
In an interview with Lilian Afegbai, Ebuson said he left the church due to the betrayal.
The film star claimed that a lot of people pretend in the church, hence his resolve to leave the church and build a personal relationship with God. “I feel like me and God have a personal relationship. I’ve been betrayed by the church in the past. Like, I was a full church boy. In my teenage years, I used to preach in the main church on Sundays. Everything you think I have now in terms of swag and whatever, it was in church that I learned it.
“Then I went to some other churches. But I just realized that there are a lot of pretences. And I know it’s not a reason to stop going because obviously. So basically you know, it’s just a thing where I was just like okay let me find this man called God on my own. And that’s what we are doing right now.
“There’s someone I’m seeing, or talking to, right now that introduced me to this whole Bible plan. I mean, sometimes I just lie to her when she asks “have you checked it this morning?”
“In terms of reading the Bible again and all that, I’m not really there yet but like a one on one relationship with my God.
“Talking to him saying “how far baba? This is what I’m doing” and He’s been helping me make the best decisions so far. And it’s calm.”

The disgraced Duke of York – who stepped back from public duty three years ago after being accused of sexual assault – retained a skeleton staff at the official home of the royal family, but he has reportedly now been told to move on and not use the London property as an address for correspondence.
Andrew, who settled the case brought by Virginia Giuffre in February but made no admission of liability, is believed to be recruiting a new communications team but must foot the bill for his staff himself.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Any presence at the Palace is officially over.
“The King has made it clear. He isn’t a working royal. He’s on his own.”
The news comes after Andrew’s former role of Colonel of the Grenadier Guards was given to King Charles’ wife, Queen Consort Camilla, earlier this week.
It is a further blow to the 62-year-old prince after the Home Office this month made the decision to strip him of his 24-hour armed security, though the Royal Household will now foot the £3 million annual bill for his protection.
Former Home Office minister Norman Baker said of the decision: “Armed protection has always been a status symbol for the likes of Prince Andrew.
“Of course he should pay it himself and not burden the taxpayer because he is a private individual and carries out no public duties.”
However, Andrew – who will join his brother Charles, his own ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, and other members of the family for Christmas at Sandringham – is believed to be retaining his Royal Lodge home on the Windsor estate.
