Nice to see Roger Milla age gracefully as he receives his plaque from Fifa Executives.

I'm rooting for the Indomitable Lions despite our football rivalry.

Belgium takes the lead as Batshuayi puts the ball at the back of the net.

Globalization is real.

The Canadian Team looks more "African" than Tunisia.

We have Belgium, France, England and Germany with significant Black players.

Nationality is gradually changing from what it was a century ago.

You can come from a country today based on how useful you are to the country.

Lol. I guess you watch football for just goals.
Argentina is playing so well so far. Saudis are sitting back, they have been excellent in the offside trap execution. But bad footballing from them. If you want to combine sitting back with setting an offside trap, you need a cóunter-attack tactics to get goals. They are not even trying to achieve that. Looks like the saudis have just only one mission in this game. To get a draw.

The argentina players needs to work more on their positioning. It as been very poor. The reactions to ball too has been bad. Expecially that guy at the left flank. He is always reacting very slow to incoming balls.

The only positive for argentina is that teams will be very wary of defending deep against them. Their passing game is top notch. They can penetrate the red sea without moses.

I see the game opening more in the second half.
I guess it's Gomez you're referring too?

Dude is trying not just to get caught by the offside trap. He's a very brilliant player. Literally carried Atalanta for many seasons till he moved to Sevilla. He's an asset to the team and always prayed he made their first 11.
SportsRe: Argentina Vs Saudi Arabia: FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022: (1 - 2) On 22nd Nov 2022 by N3TRAL: 12:00pm On Nov 22, 2022
People saying that Argentina are over hyped are definitely not watching the match. Saudi Arabian players are worse than the Qataris and Iranians I watched.

Argentina has put 4 goals in the net. Three of them have been cancelled for very close offsides. Like "fingers and shoulders" kinda offside. That's excluding almost five attempts flagged offside.

The Saudi's are not impressive. They are not physical as suggested here because they've already made two unplanned substitutions in the first 45.

Argentina are playing beautiful football. Their only impediment is the high line formation of Saudi Arabia. Saudi's high line is almost at the centre of the field.

If Argentina finds a solution to the high line, they will score Saudi up to five goals by second half.
SportsRe: Argentina Vs Saudi Arabia: FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022: (1 - 2) On 22nd Nov 2022 by N3TRAL: 11:29am On Nov 22, 2022
The Saudi Arabia's coach, Renard , is so good at managing mediocre teams to achieve excellence.

He won successive AFCONs with Zambia and Ivory Coast.

His strategy in this game is to destroy Argentina's forwards with high line football by ensuring they stay offside throughout the game.

Argentina's coach has to come up with a strategy immediately because a series of counter attacks from Saudi may be fatal.

The swing Region is the Northern Region. The South East, South South, Middle Belt and some part of South West is in the bag. Now the North will be battle Ground as Tinubu, Atiku and Kwankwaso and even Obi will slug it out. All that Obedients want to see is strong Tinubu and Atiku presence in the North so as to deplete and check mate each other while Obi will have an easy sail to Aso Rock. At this junction I think his Excellency Peter Obi should start writing his acceptance speech.
Name the middle belt states he has in the bag?

If there's anything I admire about the Indian and Arab systems, it is their proficiency in raising responsible successors.

A billionaire's daughter who chose a Disk Jockey career marries a crackhead loser who already has kids out of wedlock because of what exactly?

I'm really ashamed. In a couple of years, Cuppy will be paying Alimony.

Otedola may not have a befitting funeral because his daughters are spoilt airheads.
PoliticsRe: Obi Did Not Lie About Meeting Peter Odili In School, Fact Check by N3TRAL: 10:00am On Nov 18, 2022
The summary of what I said above is that this story can only work if secondary schools were closed while primary schools were open during the war.

Put differently, it means that Peter Obi was still going to school as a 6-9 year old child preparing for his FLSC which was coveted back then, while Odili sat at home doing nothing.
PoliticsRe: Obi Did Not Lie About Meeting Peter Odili In School, Fact Check by N3TRAL: 9:54am On Nov 18, 2022
There are holes in this explanation. I haven't witnessed a war, but I have seen a pandemic. Every school closed. When schools reopened, primary school students didn't join JSS 1 students in JSS1.

The war narrative can only be logical if only secondary schools stopped teaching during the war and primary schools were still teaching. First school leaving Certificate was a very crucial qualification in the 60s.

If the war stopped Peter Odili from leaving secondary school on time, it means it stopped JSS1 students from going to JSS2 and JSS2 students from going to JSS3. A pupil from Primary school cannot join an existing JSS1 class. He has to wait for the JSS1 class to pass to JSS2.

Similar thing happens during ASUU strike. Jambites have to wait for the current Year one to be promoted before they can start their year 1. The difference is that in War, the Primary and secondary schools were closed. Peter Obi couldn't have progressed academically in a closed primary school.

The only three explanations for Peter Obi's story is:

1. He had left the East to continue his elementary/primary education in the South West or North that weren't affected by the war and started secondary school there. But after the war was over, he transferred back to the East to complete his education.

2. He was not born in 1961.

3. He never met Peter Odili but mentioned him to make his story convincing.

Mordecai:
Before we go further, and just for records sake, note that even the minimum wage earner actually earns more than 30k a month. Black tax, subsidies etc all play a part in that.

Now, Government spending in Nigeria is not really what you think. Despite what they say, the government is not really "spending". The billions you hear about mostly go into "savings accounts" owned by public officers. To make it worse, these billions don't even go into the financial system. They end up removing cash from the system. Both in naira and in dollars.

A prudent government will actually curtail these by reducing the amount available for these "black market operations", and actual spending would in reality increase, and be channelled to sectors where there are impacts on the people. When these set of public office holders can steal no more, they will begin to spend from the loot.

They would be expected to actually flood the economy with unexplained cash.

Prudence by government is what will help then, as against chasing them around with EFCC.
I'm not disputing the prevalence of corruption in Nigeria's public and civil service.

I am asking how that corruption and government spending makes the price of a cup of garri to increase by 50% in 6 months.

We know there is corruption. How does it relate with inflation? How will reducing "government spending" fight inflation?

Note, Nigeria does not suffer demand-pull inflation. Inflation in Nigeria is as a result of the cost of producing local goods or importing foreign goods. It is not inflation caused because Nigerians are so rich.

Let's use the biscuit / sausage roll industry as a case study. If the inflation in the industry was a function of surplus money in circulation, the companies in the sector would not reduce the quantity of biscuit in a packet of biscuit and increase the biscuits price by 5% or allow the price to remain. They would rather increase the price of a packet of biscuit by let's say 50% without altering the quantity of a packet of biscuit.

It is because the cost of production is high and the population is poor that most likely makes biscuit manufacturers to reduce the content of the biscuit and retain the price so that Nigerians can still afford biscuits.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu TO CAN: I Have Not Islamized My Family, I Will Not Islamize Nigeria by N3TRAL:
A Church of Christ member will be ostracized if they marry a Winners chapel member.

A Jehovah's witness member will be excommunicated and rejected by their families if they marry a Deeper life member.

Then there's a Muslim who defies all odds to marry a Christian woman he loves and encourages his children to follow her to church.

As a progressive christian, that liberal Muslim has my vote!

Mordecai:
It's a simple relationship. Reducing the amount of money in circulation can slow down inflation. Government being the biggest spender can reduce money in circulation by making payments to creditors instead, and reducing the overbloated current expenditure.

Thing is, in Nigeria, there are other factors at play, which they don't account for in economics textbooks - the stolen funds stashed away in warehouses, tanks, pits etc. The crazy demand for the dollar as a store of value for the stolen funds, which defies all rational thought.

These people cannot be wished away, but you cannot still entrust our future to them.

This is why we need someone like PO, humble enough to massage their ego and keep them from torpedoing the economy, yet stubborn enough to take the right decisions even he is being manipulated emotionally, as well as disciplined enough not to join the other side when he gets to power.
You're talking about demand-pull inflation. Nigeria does not suffer demand-pull inflation. A country with a minimum wage of 30,000 naira a month cannot suffer demand pull inflation. We suffer cost-push inflation and promoting an economic policy that will prevent injection will make our built-in inflation worse.

That's by the way. You still haven't shown how government spending in Nigeria significantly causes inflation.

Put differently: How does government spending make the price of indomie to change every month?

Can you please explain the correlation between inflation and the size of government? Your explanation will be better if you can provide one or two successful case studies. Thank you.

And you think your Tinubu is very competent despite all the drug charges brought against him. You still find him a saint to govern the country.
Competency is subjective in a democracy. In our system of government, an independent umpire presents a plethora of candidates contesting through their political parties and declares elected the candidate chosen by the majority.

Nigerians will choose the leader they think is most competent next year.
