BeardedmeatR:That's where you're getting it wrong. I appreciate a leader when he does the right thing and criticize the same leader when he does something I feel isn't right or is obviously wrong. That's the meaning of democracy. The problem with you folks who started participating in politics in 2020 is that you genuinely believe that there's a man out there who can solve all Nigeria's problem without failing at some things. I want a leader that will allow cash to flow first of all. Don't mind if he fails at blocking leakages as long as he increases revenue. Let's face it, that you vote for Biden or Trump in America does not mean that you won't have a crazy white man or kid walk into a church or school and start shooting people with an automatic machine gun. That's a systematic problem endemic to America. If you're electing an American leader to stop mass shooting then you're plain stupid. Most of Nigeria's problem are that way. I choose a candidate whose manifesto outlined in detail how to solve the solvable Nigerian problems. The manifesto has a solid framework that can be applied in Nigeria's terrain. |
Proudlyomonna:You obviously have no idea about how the economy works so you chose ad hominem. You're probably one of those who just wants to feed and take care of your loved ones. Of all the three candidates, it's most likely a Tinubu's administration that can solve your problem if there's any government that can. |
aariwa:Thank you. These are kind words we should exchange with each other no matter our choices. It is the very essence of democracy. |

Britishpea:I believe in Bola Tinubu! |
Ask random Nigerian girls what quality they look for in a man and a "God-Fearing" man will come as any of the first 3 qualities. Be more specific, ask them what quality they want in the physical appearance of a man and the first or second option will be "TDH"- Tall, Dark and Handsome. From JSS1, that's what every Nigerian girls has in mind. They've been programmed to fit in a box to only believe that the men with the qualities above are what will make their romantic relationships last and people to admire them. Can a God-fearing man dominate her in the bedroom? Is the God-Fearing man a misogynist who will think of her lowly and quote the bible to affirm his archaic behaviour? Will the God-fearing man want her to give birth to at least 7 children to fulfill God's commandment of multiplying the Earth when she wants only three kids? Will the TDH man get you a car like Regina Daniels or you'll be using okada to the market when you're 8 months pregnant? This is an analogy. A God-fearing man represents the concept of a lesser evil and an incorruptible messiah. A tall, dark and handsome man represents a candidate with eloquence in speech and great oratory skills. There are more than 20 major qualities a presidential candidate should possess but the bulk of Nigerians limit it to one which is the "poorest major candidate or the candidate who is perceived to be upright". In 2015, Buhari's supporters did not discuss Buhari's human right issues based on his past Performance, they did not discuss his ability to end inflation and crude oil dependency based on his past performance, they did not discuss his ability to industrialize Nigeria based on his past performance etc. The only thing they disturbed everyone about was his ability to end corruption and leakages of funds based on his past performance. For an objective thinker - what if this man's only distinction , that is the ability to stop corruption and leakages, is subdued by a powerful system he didn't envisage theoretically before leading practically? What happens to other more important needs of Nigeria that his resume showed that he was not good at? A candidate turned a State that generated 600 million Naira monthly as IGR to a state that generated 5.5 billion naira monthly before leaving office almost 16 years ago. If I want a candidate that will increase Nigeria's revenue, I'll go for him. A candidate was the first Governor in Nigeria that started an Independent Power Project despite opposition from the Federal Government because of the inclusion of power in the exclusive list of the CFRN 1999. If I want a candidate that has the best chance of solving Nigeria's electricity problem, I'll go for him. A candidate was the first Governor in Nigeria to approve the creation of new Local Government Areas in his State and granted them autonomy. He was punished by the Federal Government that withheld their deserved revenue allocation. If all I want in a candidate is one who will restructure the country and give more autonomy to units, I'll go for him. A candidate who created the RRS, which is heavily funded is who I will go for if all I want in a candidate is one who is most likely going to support State Policing. I can go on and on. Go publicly to state what you want in your potential partner and omit "God Fearing", most Nigerians will shame you. God Fearing is just one quality. Being "perceived" as the least corrupt is just one quality that will not put food on anybody's table. That's a fact. There are qualities I'm looking for in someone I can call my President and I have found those qualities in Mr. Bola Ahmad Tinubu. Forcing another candidate on me is like mocking me for going with a thin girl because majority are going with thick girls with big nyash. What if I love BDSM and will find it hard to practice it with a thick girl? What if I don't want a wife that will be overweight after child birth because thick girls are most likely to be? It's high time you respected my choice of Jagaban! I just want an economy where cash will flow and consumers will have enough to consume my products and services. N/B: I'm not Yoruba. Guy most likely asked the question because India is also facing an emigration disaster, or even worse. The world is becoming a global village without boundaries. Citizens of the world are free to migrate legally to any country of their choice as long as they are accepted by the foreign country and agree to keep the terms of the foreign country. |
Are you surprised? Read the thread I created last year. Peter Obi will not even come Fourth in the North. https://www.nairaland.com/7381045/where-felix-nicolas-2nd-runner |
The victim of Oxlade's negligence is one of the wisest young ladies in Nigeria. I don't know her name. I don't know her face. I bet a lot of us don't give a damn about the sextape. She didn't prolong the controversy. She didn't seek validation on social media. She didn't make it a scandal. She didn't give no one no explanation. The intelligent lady approached the court of law to seek redress. Money will be paid to her for the damages caused to her reputation. Ladies, only the court of law can give you justice! The court of public opinion can only give you pain, anguish and regret. |
blank:At least you agree with me on the fact that he inherited millions of dollars from his father. Donald Trump inherited lesser and became a billionaire, btw. Peter Obi has no business rates by Forbes, Bloomberg, etc. How is he exceptional? Now, let's move to the next points. Billions of State funds lost via the brewery investment. How Gtbank and Access Bank became first tier banks despite the fact that Peter Obi Chaired Fidelity bank during the banking revolution in Nigeria and they were founded around the same time? |
![]() O God. |
By the time INEC announces election results in February next year, the suicide bomber in Atiku Alootakar will be rekindled. Atiku will be looking for Pandora Obeer to bomb because Pandora Obeer will so divide his votes in the South East to the extent that Tinubu will be declared winner with 6 million more votes than Atikuloot. Atikuloot go regret say he mess with alcoholic. Wike na man you be. Anything wey you dey smoke, no stop. We need that in the South. |
CuddleBerry:Self made billionaire? ![]() Without his silver spoon background, Obi would be a social studies teacher like his daughter in whose name he stockpiles funds in tax havens. But Sha I thank God say e no be teacher because he for don flog people children kill. Obi kerenkereke no go carry eye dey see you toast babe. When him come class to teach, pupils for laugh tire for him voice based on say e get female vulture voice ![]() |
![]() I don laugh break phone. Oh Jesus! Na the "Respect your Age" part kill meeee. Politics sweet and dey painful at the same time. 😆 😂 😂 😆 ![]() |
gidgiddy:Whether na Jibril Al Sudan or Jibril Al Pakistan, Nnamdi Kanu no dey purge because he don chop beans tire for prison? ![]() Gidgiddy my guy, I know it hurts to be rejected and mistreated but you're unable to leave a relationship you consider toxic. The emotional part of me feels your pain. I have empathy. However, just know that whether na Bola Tinubu or Yekini Ogunlere, Nnamdi Kanu's fate will be in his hands after 29th of May this year. Did I rupture a nerve ? ![]() |
gidgiddy:You fit compare Alpha beta to any of Obi's venture? That's why I said that there shouldn't have been ShopRite in Nigeria or even its home country, South Africa if Peter Obi was ambitious. It should have been a Obi's retail brand instead. Alpha beta transformed public service accounting and taxation in Nigeria. It provides services to more than 10 States including PDP oil rich states like Bayelsa and AKWA IBOM. It has expanded abroad and provides services in foreign countries. Here's a link: https://guardian.ng/appointments/alpha-beta-expands-services-outside-nigeria/ Didn't Obi invest Anambra's money in a business he had substantial interest in? Didn't he take advantage by issuing contract payments through fidelity bank and other transactions that saw Fidelity bank gain? The Billions he " saved" in Fidelity bank was always going to make the bank satisfy the Cash Deposit Ratio of the CBN even though the bank had limited customers. Weren't those conflict of interest. Tinubu, Atiku and Obi all have elite backgrounds. But it appears Tinubu is the most innovative in terms of multiplying money and wealth creation. Atiku comes a distant second. Nation Newspaper and TVC which may not be that profitable have been sustained by a competent system that has worked for years. It employs at least 100 professionals not paid below the minimum wage cap. They are owned by Tinubu, your next president . |
Like na statistics and historical studies I go chop? If Obi said "it's my turn" , I swear I for campaign for am. It's the only genuine criteria he beats the other candidates. I'll just know that I made up my mind to suffer. The Singapore, China , Japan etc e dey quote, Dem no get Airports? Did he build one I Anambra? You guys don't get . Like how does a man who goes on National TV to talk about people who fly private Jets with disdain build an airport for them to land? ![]() Obi is Marxist. There's nothing you can tell me. |
Remember when Otedola gave his daughters Ferraris? If Otedola dies today, do you think he'll be happy that DJ Cuppy goes around telling the whole world that his 24 year old grandchild does not have a V-boot? ![]() Like, a man created Generational wealth and handed it over to his son. His son brags that his children are suffering? E normal for your ear? ![]() No be Marxism be that? |
Phoen1X:I'm showing that despite inheriting millions of dollars, Peter Obi does not make the list of top 50 entrepreneurs in Nigeria. How he want take comot Naija from inflation? He's not made it to Forbes. He's not started and grown an actual company that produces like Dangote or Bua. He invested in some failed businesses, saved more than he invested and bought failed stocks with the rest ![]() |

You think that when the son of royalty moved from the north to the East, he went there to live in a slum or a low- class vicinity? That's the very reason they knew each other. Peter Obi was one of the wealthiest boys then who could provide the Sultan the luxury he needed to survive when he moved to the East. |
Toneypen247:I'll give you receipts, one by one ![]() |
Toneypen247:I scribbled it this evening while replying to a post on Nairaland. I felt it was too long and decided to make it a full post. Deny any of this fact: 1. That Peter Obi inherited more than 100 million dollars from his father. 2. That Peter Obi failed to grow the inheritance at 2% per annum in 30 years based on public records. 3. That Fidelity bank which started around the time of Access and GTbank and had Peter Obi as chairman during Nigeria's banking revolution is still a 4th tier bank. 4. That Peter Obi's Next couldn't compete with ShopRite or Marketsquare despite the fact that he was born with better opportunities than the founders. 5. That Peter Obi didn't lose billions of Naira in his most talked about investment in a brewery. Deny any of them, I'll deactivate my account this night. |
Nothing Peter Obi touches succeeds. Peter Obi inherited more than 100 million dollars from his father. He has failed to increase his inheritance at the rate of even 2% in the last 3 decades. Peter Obi was a rich kid. He was what the likes of DJ Cuppy, Paddy Adenuga and Jowi Zaza are today. With the money Peter Obi inherited, his brand should have dominated Africa if he ventured into retail. In fact, there shouldn't have been a ShopRite if he was innovative. Next should have dominated African countries. Look at Access Bank and GTbank. That's what Fidelity bank should have been if Peter Obi had a Midas touch. They started around the same time. Peter Obi chaired the bank during Nigeria's biggest banking revolution. This is not political banter. He invested Anambra's State money in a brewery right? Isn't the investment a loss of billions of Naira? That's who Peter Obi is. He's worth less than he inherited from his father today by saving more and buying failed stocks. He's acknowledged that he inherited 100 million+ dollars from his father. His foreign accounts that were spied on and published during the Pandora saga revealed he had less than 30 million dollars stacked in safe havens. Dangote, Bua, Tony Elumelu, Adenuga etc inherited less but see where they are today. Buhari isn't so different. He failed at everything he ever did apart from politics. His cattle husbandry was reported to have remained stagnant with the same number of cattles for more than a decade. What Buhari and Obi have in common is that they preach integrity but una go suffer die because they have no idea about money making. Make honest Anambra people confess as boys migrate during his time. Hardship no be small. Let's face it, businesses will enjoy better under an Atiku government than Obi's government. Tinubu is the ultimate. Na baba for wealth creation. He turns everything to gold. Knowing what Buhari and Obi share in common made me reject Obi from day 1. I swear I know say we go suffer if Obi wins. |

.... Lucifer will win New York if he has the ticket of the Democratic party. That's the meaning of party politics. It is the beauty of presidential democracy. |
FreedomfromtheT:Mention the 3 states, Biko? ![]() |
It used to be like this in June 2022: Monday: "The Aso Rock Cabals have chosen Emefiele. Tinubu will receive the Abiola treatment." Tuesday: "Ameachi is Buhari's candidate. Tinubu has not learnt his lessons from Awolowo" Wednesday:. " Osinbajo is the anointed one. Zulum will be his vice" Thursday:. " Buhari is an ethnic bigot. He will give the Senate President, Lawan, the ticket." Friday: " The cabals will never let Tinubu win. Tinubu insulted Buhari" Saturday:. " Buhari will appoint a consensus Presidential candidate for APC and Tinubu will defect to SDP. How will he be president?". The day arrives, Tinubu scores more than 65% of the votes cast with almost every APC Presidential aspirant stepping down for him. See. It doesn't matter what the cabals do at this time. They can only control policies and not the structure. For instance, Ganduje will deliver Kano. El Rufai will deliver Kaduna, Zulum will deliver Borno, Katsina State Governor will deliver his State, Ex Sokoto State Governor will deliver his State, Yobe State Governor will deliver his State, Yahaya Bello will deliver his State. The people working for Tinubu are loyal to him and can deliver their polling units. The cabal are political lightweights whose powers lie only in decision making. For instance, Emefiele and the rest cannot win their polling unit or influence elections in their State. The current "cabal" that was created in 2020 after Abba Kyari's demise isn't more powerful than the alliances that Tinubu has built since 2015 for this very purpose. He's figured everything out. |
VinnyBaba:Abeg no vex: There are 6 North Central States- Mention 3 of them that Obeer will win? I've never seen a stupid set of people who keep repeating what they read on Twitter, posted by an ignorant Twitter influencer whose most valuable possession is an iphone ![]() |
Rivers People what do you think? Let's interact ![]() |
Who do you think the candidate is? News from Rivers State is that Wike's choice is Tinubu. He's made his choice and communicated same to his aides to pass same down the party structure in the State. I guess Tinubu will get at least 25% from Rivers State no matter what. It's good news for us. |
He said that he has kept his promise of revealing his preferred Presidential candidate to Rivers People. He said that when he made the promise, he didn't say he'll organise a life coverage for it or do a press conference. He said that he told Rivers State people that he will tell them the candidate to support and he did so before the deadline. He asked if Rivers People got the news of his preferred candidate and the crowd responded "yes". "Will you vote for him? The crowd responded yes. He then went on to say that he's not fighting a conventional war but a guerilla warfare and that "mumu" people who have never won elections or understood what delivering a candidate means should keep being naive and stop asking him stupid questions about his Presidential candidate because he has told Rivers People who to vote for like he promised, before the deadline. You'll hear a more official news later if it's reported. |
