Remember waiting in a long queue to make a call using NITEL booth. When it finally got to my turn, the owner of the phone with which i used to reach my brother asked me to hold on for him (my bro was staying 3 blocks from the phone owner at the time). If i drop, it'll take another 2hrs before it gets to my turn going by the number of peeps waiting for their turn. I held on for more than 15 mins waiting for my bro only for the credit units in my call card to finish immediately my bros came on the line!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mine was in 2001 as a 1st yr student in UNIPORT. Went to d cafe to get an email id not because i knew what it was, but because it was becoming popular then, paid 500 for an email id (something i can create within 2mins now),the attendant who created the id for me even knew my password and told me to only click on the e (internet explorer icon) anytime i wanna check my mail. Paid extra N100 to print the first welcome-to-yahoo mail from my box. Later on,i always spend hrs reading junk mails in my spam folder as i hardly receive mails in my inbox. Thought u can access your mails from all computers whether connected to the internet or not. How time flies! I'm having this nostalgic feeling now.

Neither did Dora nor GJ planned to investigate him. I'm not saying the report is ethnic related and at the same time i'm not ruling out the possibility of ethnic hatred by the people castigating Phillip Emeagwali. Lets learn how to live as one in Nigeria. I'm an Igbo man in diaspora,but what i'm carrying is Nigerian passport and not igbo passport. The same thing applies to my yoruba friends here. That u're a yoruba man will not make a Sean in New York or Miguel in Lisbon treat you better than other Nigerians neither will a Jim in London or Wilheim in Frankfurt be 'nicer' to me as an Igbo man. Until those institutions/bodies that awarded Emeagwali those degrees/awards strip him of such only then will i take this story serious. That report 'bout him might have been written by one Idowu in Ibadan or one Emeka in Enugu just to tarnish or discredit Emeagwali's work. But Nigerians,when would we recognise,celebrate and identify with one of our own who has excelled in his or her field irrespective of where he/she comes from? We were made to buy a 25litres galon of rain water @ between #30-#50,there was nothing like these people are Corpers lets consider them,foods stuffs were more expensive in the village market that held once in 4 days,than in Nsukka town and here is somebody complaining of the South East being the POOREST! There is a universal law of Seed time and Harvest time,i think the SE are reaping the seeds they have sown in the past.I called my friends serving in oda parts of Enugu and oda SE States and it was the same report of lack of HOSPITALITY that i got.I would rather throw my money in the Ocean than INVEST it in any of th SE states!

Back to topic: I am an Igbo man and i think we Igbos should stop complaining about marginalisation from the FG and move on with our lives. The regions where there's govt presence in nigeria (apart from Lagos) are they better than the SE economically? The answer is no. Since the govt doesn't want to develop our region,lets come together and do it ourselves. Nigeria as we know it today is a failed state. I'm outta here!

That is the problem with most of these new generation banks.Forget all those mouth watering offer they advertise on their various products.There are always hidden charges (no matter how small) that the customers are not aware of at the point of opening an account. How on this earth will a savings account attract COT ? How can a bank charge its customer N15 for each transaction alert he receives? What is the meaning of Up Country charge? How can a bank charge you a certain amount of money because you are withdrawing over the counter and not with your ATM card? Tell me, is it compulsory to own an ATM card when you consider the daily fraud on ATM people encounter everyday. There are so many questions to be answered. Me, i'd rather stick to my old generation banks (Union bank,First bank) even though their services are not superb as compared to that of these crooks. My opinion!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only south western state apart from Lagos that can be used to compare Anambra in terms of infrastructural development is Ogun. Then in terms of top flight academicians and intellects, Ekiti and Anambra have paid their dues in that area of life. But when it comes to the number of enterpreneurs and industrialists, Anambra has more than all the states in the entire SW put together.
