Oga Kachikwu the installed capacity of all 4 refineries in Nigeria is 445000 bpd, Dangote refinery is 650000 bpd. This gives a total of 1095000 bpd if all the refineries are running at 100%. How did you arrive at the 1.4 million bpd. Abi na the new refineries way una no even start go make up the remaining 305000 bpd. |

Why government people no fit talk without adding salt and pepper to their tory. Installed capacity of all refineries in Nigeria is 440000 bpd do you mean 4 modular refineries can refine 210000 bpd. I hope say him know say modular refineries no dey get that kind capacity. Again last time I checked Dangote's refinery would refine 650000 bpd not 750000. |

Politics / Re: Logical Reasonings Behind Fuel Subsidy by naija247: 10:28pm On May 15, 2016 |
The increase in price isn't as a result of subsidy removal as already clarified by the VP and other gov't officials. According to them Nigeria wasn't paying any. The pricing templet has been adjusted because of forex based on interbank rates. This means that marketers are expected to get dollars around #285. 1 Like |

Politics / Re: Fuel Price Hike: Presidency Rolls Out Palliatives by naija247: 7:19pm On May 15, 2016 |
If gov't were to pay subsidy how much would it cost? Lets assume gov't pays #45 per liter as subsidy that would bring the price of pms around #100 at most. Even if we entirely import our daily needs which is around 35000000 liters that's a daily payment of #1.575 billion and about #575 billion yearly. A gov't that plans to spend #500 billion on the payment of #5000 to unemployed people can't pay subsidy that would ease the suffering of ALL Nigerians. Of what use is the #5000 anyway when cost of living has risen sky high. They need to get their priorities right. Moreover these are not palliatives they are part of their campaign promise. 1 Like 1 Share |
