Farah is now being treated in hospital after the attack – said to be motivated by her ‘failure’ to produce a male child and fulfil a dowry – in Moradabad, in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.


Police are searching for her husband and hope to arrest him for voluntarily causing grievous harm.

Farah said: “After the birth of the first girl only, my in-laws started to target me as if I deliberately delivered a baby girl. “The harassment kept intensifying as time passed by. “For the past year, things had become much worse.

“Under pressure from his family, my husband would ask me to get more money from my parents and give it to them.”When I didn’t oblige them, they started to beat me up.




“It come to a pass when my second daughter was born. “I was trying to live with the daily dose of torture, and thinking about the well being my daughters. “If I part ways from the man, who would provide for my two daughters and myself?

“But I could never imagine that he would go to the extent of pouring acid on me.”I won’t forgive him for this ever.”

After the bout reached the halfway point, McGregor began looking visibly fatigued and Mayweather sensed an opening. He showed a level of aggression rarely seen in his previous 49 victories. According to Stats, Mayweather had landed 132 punches compared to 80 for McGregor entering the 10th round.

In the 10th round, Mayweather really went on the offensive, and McGregor had no answer for the barrage. After Mayweather landed a series of blows without reply from McGregor, referee Robert Byrd called for the bell.

Mayweather also appeared to shut the door on stepping in the ring again, saying this was his last fight, per BBC Sport.


Many expected Mayweather to beat McGregor, with the biggest question being whether the fight would last the full 12 rounds. Mayweather's last knockout was against Victor Ortiz in 2011.


Although McGregor is UFC's lightweight champion, he was clearly overmatched against somebody who's one of the best defensive boxers in history. The likes of Manny Pacquiao, Canelo Alvarez, Miguel Cotto and Oscar De La Hoya have all tried to take down Mayweather and failed. McGregor stood little chance in what was his boxing debut.

Saturday's fight wasn't about putting on a competitive matchup in the ring. Instead, it offered Mayweather what's likely to be one more massive payday and granted McGregor the opportunity to earn more from one night than he had over the entirety of his UFC career to date.


ESPN.com's Darren Rovell projected in June Mayweather vs. McGregor could gross a little over $606 million. The two fighters signed a confidentiality agreement, so their full earnings are unlikely to ever be revealed, but ESPN.com's Dan Rafael reported Mayweather will take home a purse of at least $100 million, while McGregor will make a minimum of $30 million.

"As if his abhorrent behavior wasn't enough regarding Charlottesville, today Trump doubled down on his endorsement of racism in America.
Mr. Trump's pardoning of Joe Arpaio is another attack on American values and makes a mockery of our justice system. Joe Arpaio is a convicted felon who openly promoted racial profiling and discrimination against American citizens who are Latina and Latino.
This pardon further divides our nation, fuels bigotry and undermines the rule of law. How long will our legislative leaders in Washington stand by and do nothing?"

The protest Saturday in Moscow followed a series of measures clamping down on internet use
Around 1,000 Russians conquered pouring precipitation in Moscow on Saturday to exhibit against the administration's moves to fix controls on web use, with police capturing around twelve dissenters.
Shouting slogans such as "Russia will be free" and "Russia without censorship", the protesters were escorted by several police officers, in a march authorised by local authorities.
Several were also marching in support of Khudoberdi Nurmatov, a reporter for the Russian opposition newspaper Novaya Gazeta, who faces deportation back to Uzbekistan over allegedly violating immigration laws.
Some of those were arrested, according to OVD-Info, a rights group that monitors detentions of activists, while an AFP photographer saw two protesters carrying rainbow flags detained.
In July, Russia's parliament voted to outlaw web tools that let internet users sidestep official bans of certain websites.
It allows telecommunications watchdog Roskomnadzor to compile a list of so-called anonymiser services and prohibit any that fail to respect the bans, while also requiring users of online messaging services to identify themselves with a telephone number.
"Innovation and technology will win! We will defend our freedoms!" one protester said, according to a broadcast of the march on YouTube.
Russia's opposition groups rely heavily on the internet to make up for their lack of access to the mainstream media.
But the Russian authorities have been clamping down on such online services, citing security concerns.
In June, Russian officials threatened to ban the Telegram messaging app after the FSB security service said it had been used by the attackers responsible for the deadly Saint Petersburg metro bombing in April.

Kanayo O. Kanayo has expressed his concern over the situation of the Nigerian educational sector, especially with the ongoing ASUU strike caused by the failure of the Federal Government to meet the union’s long-time demands.
The star of TV series “Professor Johnbull“, shared his thoughts via an Instagram post, insisting that both the Federal Governments and ASUU have equal roles to play in resolving the issues at hand.

Stephen Espinoza, the head of cable network Showtime Sports which is selling the fight in the US, said surveys had shown that fans were not bothered by predictions of a one-sided bout.
"The casual fans were absolutely adamant," Espinoza said.
"Their response almost universally was 'We don't care if it's a mismatch ... if there's a .01 (percent) chance that something incredible could happen, we need to watch it.'
"And that's why they're going to watch it."
Some projections have indicated the fight is on track to surpass the 4.6 million pay-per-view buys of Mayweather's 2015 "Fight of the Century" against Manny Pacquiao.
If that happens, the bout is almost certain to become the richest fight in history and will leave Mayweather and McGregor laughing all the way to the bank.
ESPN reported on Saturday that Mayweather is guaranteed a $100 million purse from the fight, which could reach $250 million if the most bullish pay-per-view targets are met.
McGregor, a 29-year-old former plumber who was living on unemployment benefits four years ago, is guaranteed $30 million, but could pocket as much as $100 million, ESPN said.
Both Mayweather and McGregor have spent large parts of the build-up to the fight trash-talking, with an ill-tempered global promotional tour laced with expletives, repeated homophobic slurs and allegations of racist language.
McGregor snarled and yelled into Mayweather's face on Friday when the two men went nose-to-nose at their weigh-in.
McGregor taunted Mayweather after tipping the scales at 153 pounds, well inside the 154-pound limit, but substantially heavier than his opponent, who weighed in at 149.5 pounds.
"That's the worst shape I've ever seen him," McGregor said of Mayweather. "I'm going to breeze through him, trust me on that."
A nonplussed Mayweather shrugged off his weight disadvantage and vowed to stop McGregor inside the distance.
"Weight doesn't win fights, fighting wins fights," Mayweather said. "It won't go the distance. Mark my words -- I'm not worried about the scales."

The video shows Katherine Martinez, a 27-year-old model, and mother-of-one, exposing herself to officers while she is handcuffed to a window in a police station in Cali, Colombia.
However, Ms. Martinez claims she only played up for the video because she was drunk, and was doing as the officers asked so that they would bring her a chair.

She said: ‘All the police officers told me that if I wanted them to pass me a chair or take my handcuffs off, I had to take off my dress and show them my body. ‘Then the male prisoners began to yell at me, “Yes, yes, lift your dress up.” ‘I remember some things but not everything. She also said the incident has ‘badly affected’ her emotionally.
Cali Police commander Hugo Casas has apologized for his officers’ behavior.
He said: ‘Our police force condemns this behavior and disciplinary and judicial investigations are underway. ‘The officers have been fully identified. One is a patrol officer who drove the woman to the station, but another official is involved for failing to assist her.’ Ms. Martinez is attempting to sue the police officers over the incident.

Caden Benjamin is addicted to eating toilet paper
A 10-year-old boy who is constantly hungry due to a rare condition eats rolls of toilet paper if he is unable to get any other food, Dailymail has reported.
The boy identified as Caden Benjamin, from Standerton in South Africa, weighs 14 stone 2lbs (90 kilogrammes) because of his constant overeating.
Now, he has been diagnosed with genetic disorder called Prader-Willi syndrome, which is characterised by an obsessive compulsion to eat. His mother Zola Benjamin says it means Caden will eat anything he can get his hands on.



‘At one point, Caden was eating toilet paper. He’d eat rolls of it,’ she said.
‘Actually, he’d eat any paper he would find in the house. If there’s nothing for him to eat, he’ll scrape together the dirt he finds on the floor and eat that.’
Several years ago, he was forced to undergo a tracheotomy and he now breathes through a tube inserted into his windpipe.
Prader-Willi syndrome is a rare, incurable disorder that affects thousands of people worldwide, resulting in physical, mental and behavioural problems.
The condition is made worse by the fact that people need less food than their peers because their bodies have less muscle and tend to burn fewer calories.
Ms Benjamin added: ‘At three years old he was 40 kg (6 stone 4 lbs) and at that time, we didn’t know what was wrong with him.
‘We went to a number of doctors and no one could tell us what was wrong and why he was gaining so much weight.’

Eventually, a doctor at the Steve Biko Academic Hospital in Pretoria ran further tests and diagnosed Caden’s illness.
Now, Caden struggles to move around and even breathe because he is so overweight.
He also suffers bouts of depression because he is unable to live like a normal child.

A woman in Uganda is nursing injuries at a hospital after her husband allegedly sliced her neck because her parents enrolled her for a nursing course in the US.


Musa Kisakye, a boda operator, allegedly attacked Ms Olivia Nangonzi, after informing him that her parents had enrolled her for a nursing course in the US.
After cutting Nangonzi’s neck, according to police, Kisakye, who thought he had accomplished his mission, used the same knife to slice his neck.
Mr Rogers Sseguya, the Mukono Police District commander, says , Kisakye is in critical condition at Kawolo Hospital.

Kisakye and Ms Nangonzi are residents of Makata, Nakisunga Sub-county, Mukono District.
They married three years ago and have one child.
“He thought he had killed me, Ms Nangonzi said. “Actually, I was too weak and I could not scream. That’s when he also cut his neck.”
She said: “I was preparing to set off to America this very week. Unfortunately, my husband wanted to kill me claiming that he wanted me to [stay] at home without upgrading [my skills].”
Mr Seguya said if Kisakye recovers, he would be charged with attempted murder.

For purportedly confining and attacking a Pastor who came to request the cash one of them was owing him, 3 ladies who posse assaulted this Pastor from a nearby church in Cowdray Park suburb in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, have been summoned before Western Commonage officer Mr Lungile Ncube, and accused of disturbed revolting strike.



It was gathered that Sandra Ncube (21), Riamuhetsi Mlauzi (23) and Mongiwe Mpofu (25) who reside at the same house in Cowdray Park suburb, led the victim into the house before Ncube held him by the waist and fondled his private part.


Here’s what Prosecutor Petros Shoko said;
“On July 14, 2017, at around 7PM, the complainant went to the three accused persons’ residence to collect his money from Riamuhetsi Mlauzi, which she owed him,” said the prosecutor.

“They forced him to lie on the bed and undressed him. Ncube sat on his chest and he tried to push her away. However, Mlauzi, who was in the same room, held his legs together and sat on top, pressing him against the bed,” said Mr Shoko.
Mpofu, who was in another room, allegedly brought condoms and placed one on the complainant’s manhood. She then allegedly assisted to hold the complainant down as he was resisting.

“Ncube had sexual intercourse with the complainant once, without his consent,” said Mr Shoko.
However the suspects denied molesting the victim as they claimed they were only playing around, though they admitted indecently assaulting him.

“We were just playing around Your Worship. I did not think that he would take it seriously,” said Ncube.
Mpofu distanced herself from the incident and said she had only been called to bring condoms.

“I was not part of it. They just called me to bring condoms. We keep condoms around the house and there were some in my room, so I just brought them,” said Mpofu.
Mlauzi said she wanted to “fix” the pastor, whom she accused of having a tendency of walking in on her when she was bathing.

Mlauzi said: “He always walks in on me bathing and claims to be unmoved as a man of God. I just wanted to see if he was going to be aroused or not. I did not plan to execute the whole rape thing, Your Worship.”
The Chronicle reports that Magistrate Ncube asked Mlauzi what she aimed to benefit from the attack, and she said she just wanted to prove to the pastor that he had feelings like everybody else.

“I wanted him to see that he was not special and was not immune to sexual arousal. When I touched him, he immediately got aroused. And that is all we wanted to see,” she said.
The matter was reported at Cowdray Park Police Station and the complainant was referred to Mpilo Central Hospital for a medical examination. A medical report was produced in court as evidence.

Even before your pillow is flat enough to fold, it has expired. Basically, as soon as it's embarrassing, not filling a pillowcase, or your nighttime visitors don't want to sleep over, it's time. But the exact timeline is debatable. Some experts say every three years. Others say replacing your pillow once a year is a must. We say, as soon as you're wondering if you should replace it, the answer is yes.

In our weekly roundup of small details you may have missed, we noted the mysterious vision Bran had of the Night King and his army. The scene showed a bleak cloud making its way across the land. And in the center of the storm was the Night King, White Walkers, and thousands of wights.
While it's hard to tell exactly where the storm was taking place, one detail seemed confirmed: The Night King was causing the storm.
In the books, Sam Tarly and other characters try to determine an important question - do the White Walkers (or Others) appear when it's cold, or does it get cold when they appear?


Here's how Sam worded it in George R.R. Martin's books: "The Others come when it is cold, most of the tales agree. Or else it gets cold when they come. Sometimes they appear during snowstorms and melt away when the skies clear. They hide from the light of the sun and emerge by night ... or else night falls when they emerge."

Also in the books, Craster's wives (the group of Wildlings who live in a cabin beyond the wall) refer to this phenomenon as the "white cold."
Now, however, the show seems to have given confirmation that the White Walkers are bringing cold with them, not just conveniently showing up when it happens to get cold outside.
We saw hints of this on the "Hardhome" episode from season five, as well. When a White Walker entered a burning hut, he walked right through the flames. The fire seemed to cool to his presence, almost as if he were a walking fire extinguisher.
