CrimeNigerian Behind $60 Mn Online Fraud Network Arrested: Interpol by NaijaDealMaker(op): 12:12pm On Aug 02, 2016
Lagos (AFP) - A Nigerian behind an online fraud network which engineered scams worth more than $60 million (54 million euros) has been arrested in southern oil city of Port Harcourt, Interpol said on Monday.

"The 40-year-old Nigerian national, known as 'Mike', is believed to be behind scams totalling more than $60 million involving hundreds of victims worldwide," the international police organisation said in a statement.

In one case, a target was conned into paying out $15.4 million," Interpol said, indicating that the arrest was carried out with the support of Nigeria's anti-graft agency the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

"The network compromised email accounts of small to medium businesses around the world including in Australia, Canada, India, Malaysia, Romania, South Africa, Thailand and the United States," it said.

The suspect ran a network of at least 40 people working from Nigeria, Malaysia and South Africa which used malware and carried out the fraud, and he also had money laundering contacts in China, Europe and the US who provided bank account details for the illicit cash flow.

"Following his arrest in Port Harcourt in southern Nigeria, a forensic examination of devices seized by the EFCC showed he had been involved in a range of criminal activities including business e-mail compromise and romance scams," it said.

The suspect and a fellow fraudster, 38, who was also arrested in the city, face charges including hacking, conspiracy and obtaining money under false pretences.

Due to the water content, canning is most suitable. Bottling is another way I am thinking, but you have to research on that. Any method that will keep off oxygen from reacting with it will be fine. Sometimes, you just have to experiment things before having a breakthrough.

Are you afraid of having a factory?
No sir am not afraid of having a factory just that I do not have the financial capacity as of now. I want to start on the level I can afford to. I was thinking of using 1L and 4L kegs just like how Palm Oil is sold. Do you think that will work?

Yes, if there is constant power, you can store it in the fridge or freezer. If left in the open, it will go rancid (spoil) with time due to oxidation. Canning it is the best, if you are considering commercial production.
Ok thanks alot and point noted. But aside canning it, are there no other alternatives for commercial purpose? If not, is it possible to get cans easily and not have to have a factory per say?

Very stupid way people think on this forum. Condemn everything they see and be acting like they know it all. Post pictures of your daily life activities here and let's see how perfect you are. Nonsense comments all the time.

You have failed in all your threats so far and you only achievement is blowing up pipelines. I am so sorry for the youths that you carry along to fight for a meaningless purpose. Your community needs development but yet you still set it ablaze because you all still need the same thing, stipends as you call it.

Every fight you are doing is against the FG so don't let the people who are ready to embrace peace come against you.

Nigerians are boiling but then they are chilling because no your heads are not hotter. Take peace into consideration and don't let us rise against you because we need a peaceful Nigeria.

Who ever can send this message to the point it gets to them will be highly appreciated.

Nigerians are full of shit. I read comments here and I know for sure that nothing ever satisfies them. People only comment because they have never been in such predicament that they will see themselves totally unsafe and innocent people are killed for nothing.

Be wise because this same Nigeria is ours and the moment you fail to embrace peace when needed and the saga meets you or your family, then you will really know how much pain that is.

The oil is obtained by pressing the hot pulp after macerating. It can also be obtained by boiling the extracts (the one used for bangalore soup). So, how is the extract made? After maceration, the pulp is washed in lukewarm water and filtered, then heated to rolling boil to get the oil or concentrated at low heat to get the thick extract for bang soup. Alternatively, during the washing of the pulp, small amount of water can be used to maintain the thickness of the extract without the need to concentrate.

I hope this helps!
Thanks alot and very useful information. I had read some articles and it blends with what you have said as well which I really appreciate.

Please can this extract be stored in such a way that it doesn't get spoilt easily? I will love to know the implications of storing it in a freezer or fridge.

I have a business idea which I am very confident will be put into action in no time but I also need to clarify some certain things before I proceed and that's the reason I need advice from people with knowledge in this area.

Firstly I want to really know the difference in the procedure of extracting Palm Oil from palm fruits and extracting the one used to prepare the popular Banga soup.

Secondly I want to know if the extract that is used to make banga soup can be stored to last for a long time just like palm oil and if so, what is the best way to preserve it for consumption.

Please I really need professional answers to these questions as I believe there are so many knowledgeable minds and brains here.
