A Federal High Court in Yenagoa on Tuesday declined to admit a computer print out of WhatsApp communication between an inlaw to former Governor Seriake Dickson, a retired Permanent Secretary in Bayelsa, Mr. Walton Liverpool and his alleged blackmailer

The Department of State Services (DSS) had on Oct. 18 arraigned a teenage gir before the court on a one count charge of cyber-stalking.

The prosecuting counsel, Mr Victor Uchendu, had told the court that the defendant engaged in cyber-stalking by circulating the retiree’s nude picture on a Whatspp group.

The retired Permanent Secretary, Dr Walton Liverpool, 60, tendered the nude video of himself sent to him by yet to be identified blackmailers in a Compact Disc before the court.

The video was played in the open court after which the Ex-permanent Secretary was cross examined by Defense Counsel.

The judge adjourned the case until Dec. 16 for continuation of trial.

“Once again, I was privileged to speak on behalf of Ijaw youths at the Special Town hall Meeting organised by the office of the Minister For State, Petroleum Resources His Excellency Chief Timipre Sylva. In attendance was His Excellency the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State Sen. Douye Diri and other notable leaders of Ijaw Land”

“In my presentation, I urged the Minister to engage the YOUTHS actively in his lined up programs and projects for our dear State pointing out that PEACE and meaningful development can only be witnessed in an environment devoid of crimes which most times can be attributed to unemployment, youth restiveness and idleness”

“I reiterated the sadness of the Youths over the delayed relocation of International Oil Companies (IOC's) operational offices to Bayelsa State and called on the Hon. Minister to add his voice so that IOC's operational head offices can be relocated to their new bases in the Niger Delta soonest. The attention of the Hon. Minister was also drawn to the lingering Atala Oil field revocation and the Opereational Certificate of the OPL 120 meant for Bayelsa”

Ijaw Youths tackle FG for cancelling oil blocs awarded to N-Deltans

The Ijaw Youths Council (IYC), yesterday, condemned the Federal Government for cancelling Oil Prospecting Licences (OPL) 2001, 2002 and 2003 awarded to companies owned by Niger Delta indigenes in spite of a court order restraining it from carrying out such action.

Speaking through its National Chairman on Strategy, Planning and Program, Comrade Isreal Fubara, the IYC while accusing the Federal Government of reawarding the OPL to another company through the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) expressed fears that such actions was capable of re-igniting chaos in the Niger Delta region.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Yenagoa, Fubara gave the names of the Niger Delta investors that were affected by the cancellation as Jahcon International Limited, Hi Rev Exploration, Production Limited and Oil and Industrial Services Limited.

The statement further explained that after the investors won the bids for the blocs in 2007, the bid round was stalled for eight years by litigation until it was resolved amicably in 2015, and that after the resolution, the DPR handed offers of OPLs 2001, 2002 and 2003 to Jahcon International Limited, Hi Rev Exploration and Production Limited and Oil and Industrial Services Limited, respectively.

He noted that although the court had directed all parties to stay action with respect to working on the field, officials of the National Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) recently made moves to commence activities on the field.

Parts of the statement also read: “this is an act which is completely unacceptable under any form of government, especially in a democratic setting. This has again been demonstrated by the actions of a multinational company in the the sites of OPL 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004. The name of this company is Sterling Global.

“While we have been watching with keen interest and patience the battle in court for the just claims of some companies, it is very provocative that sterling global has decided to defy court orders and undermining the very legal process upon which our hopes and patience are built.

“We have noted that sterling global in clear disrespect for the principles of fairness has attempted to claim oil fields that have been legally won in fair bids by other companies after which required payments have been made.

“That sterling global In defiance for the laws of this country and in contempt of the court process has begun operational activities in those sites inspite of standing court orders that the status quo be maintained. Report available to us even suggest that the activities of the sterling global is been done with the support of DPR.

“Apart from the fact that the actions of sterling global are apparently provocative, illegal and contemptuous, it raises in our minds to few questions that border on social justice and the existential rights of the Niger Delta in Nigeria. We notice that only companies owned by Niger Delta sons have suffered cancellation of oil bloc allocation.

“If not so, why is the contract rights of a company be upturned at the whim and caprices of a few Government officials in clear contradiction to the contract laws of Nigeria as well as to the principles of a free market economy?

“In the absence of valid answers to our questions our tentative conclusion to these questions is that once a matter is connected to people in the Niger Delta it can easily be turned upside down since we are mistakenly considered as been a minority people who are only entitled to lesser rights in the Nigerian state.

“We make bold to state that if the persons who won the bids were from some sections of the country it would have been difficult for the government to reverse the licenses. We therefore demand that the relevant authorities stop, with immediate effect, the activities of Sterling Global in OPL 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 with immediate effect.”

Trial of Bayelsa News Blogger: Court order recall of DSS witnesses, Kogi Governor’s aide

Justice Awogboro Abimbola Olawunmi of Federal High Court 2, sitting in the Yenagoa has ordered the recall of the DSS Investigation officer, Frank Udo and the Kogi State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo to appear for Further cross-examination in the ongoing trial of the Bayelsa News Blogger.

According to the Court, the ordered appearance of the DSS officer and the Kogi Commissioner of Information is sequel to the an application filed by the Defence counsel to Saint Mienpamo, Benjamin S. Ogbara Esq. for recall of the witnesses pursuant to section 219 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015, section 36(6)(b) of the 1999 constitution as amended and the Supreme Court case of Adisa v. Attorney General Western Nigeria.

It would be recalled that only two Witnesses had earlier testified against the owner of Naija Live Tv the Bayelsa Born Popular Blogger Saint Mienpamo Onitsha.

Also an amendment of the charge against the Bayelsa News Blogger by the prosecution counsel, Victor Uchendu Esq was made in court.

The presiding judge, Justice Awogboro Abimbola Olawunmi consequently ordered that those two prosecution witnesses for DSS be recalled for further cross-examination.

Meanwhile, defense counsel to Saint Mienpamo, Benjamin S. Ogbara Esq. called their last witness immediately the case was call up in continuation of trial and subsequently closed its defense.

Justice Awogboro Abimbola Olawunmi however adjourned the case till is 22nd of October 2020.

Niger Delta Group Rejects Alleged Appointment of Colonel Milland Dikio as New Amnesty Coordinator

Former resource control agitators drawn from across the nine Niger Delta states under the aegis of Signatories to the Presidential Amnesty Declaration For Peace and Development have kicked against a yet-to-be confirmed report that one Milland Dixon Dikio has been appointed as the coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Program.

The group in a statement sent to NAIJA LIVE TV by its coordinator, Comr. Kingsley jackrich that we will resist the appointment of Dikio if the unverified news is true, saying it would be an act of one too many in the bizarre appointments of persons into the office, persons who completely have no understanding of the Amnesty Program.

The group further said that though the official spokespersons of the President, Segun Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant on Media didn't announce the appointment but it is not ready to fold its arms to watch the Federal Government impose a coordinator on former Niger Delta freedom fighters.

Parts of the statement read: "we understand that government business and most especially that of the Presidency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is done with utmost respect for due process, hence we have found it difficult to believe the said appointment.

"We also know that the official Presidency spoke persons, Segun Adesina, Special Adviser (SA) to the President on Media and Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Media respectively are traditionally the mouthpiece from which such Presidential appointments are made public.

"However we wish to make known our position to His Excellency President Mohammadu Buhari, that we will resist this appointment if this happens to be the case, this is one too many in the bizarre appointments of persons into the office of coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Program, persons who completely have no understanding of the Amnesty Program, who doesn't understand the dynamics of the region or have the needed dynamism to run that all important office.

"We have watched with dismay and trepidation the actions of the National Security Adviser (NSA) Babagana Monguno in sabotaging the Presidential Amnesty Program the last five years, a program that has hitherto run seamlessly on autopilot. Mr. Monguno had appointed person's whose only criteria for the job is to be friends with him, the appointments of Paul Boroh and Charles Dokubo are enough indictments of the judgement and leadership failures of the NSA Babagana Monguno.

"We have decided to sheath our swords out of love for the Niger Delta region, respect for the region's elders who have constantly appealed and played intermediary roles of peace and also to demonstrate that we are not opposed to Mr. President Mohammadu Buhari personally or his administration. Infact we believe Mr. President Mohammadu Buhari is not a cog in the wheel of the Niger Delta progress. While we await a reciprocal goodwill gesture from the administration of President Buhari with regards to appointing a competent hand in running the tokens in the form of the Amnesty Program, we will continue to hold the peace.

"For over five years we have witnessed the crass display of incompetence, subterfuge and total antipathy by Babagana Monguno in the affairs of the Presidential Amnesty Program and to the people of the Niger Delta, we have come to the conclusion that he's unfit, deliberately mischievous and ill equipped to properly evaluate and appreciate the hotspots of the nation's security architecture, as often displayed by him, this NSA has for too long played the ostrich with our common destiny when the interest of the nation is at stake.

"As signatories to the Amnesty declaration and beneficiaries of the Presidential Amnesty program we shall avail Mr. President Mohammadu Buhari of the following; It's an open secret that the Amnesty Program domiciled under the NSA Babagana Monguno is a complete failure, it should be noted that this same program ran seamlessly on autopilot before Monguno made it a monumental failure.

"The rot and the pervasive atmosphere in the Presidential Amnesty Program is hitherto unprecedented, the blame should be squarely put in the office of the NSA Babagana Monguno. This is a brazen affront that runs counter to your administration goals.

"Mr. President Mohammadu Buhari, it's your prerogative to appoint an independent panel to look into the rot of the Presidential Amnesty Program these last five years. An accused cannot be a judge in his own case, it's unethical and unprofessional for the NSA Babagana Monguno to appoint an interim management committee on the Presidential Amnesty Program and at the same time with the powers to mule over the unprecedented looting in the last five years.

"Mr. President sir, we have resolved henceforth not to work with the office of the NSA Babagana Monguno, the Presidential Amnesty Program needs to be domiciled directly in the presidency for better supervision.

"As we have all witnessed, this NSA Babagana Monguno continues to intentionally demonstrate that he's ready to engulf the Niger Delta region and the nation in another round of conflict that we don't need particularly at this time in our nation's challenges. He has undoubtedly demonstrated his penchant for personal aggrandisement as opposed to national peace and prosperity and such he's ready to sacrifice our collective well being as a nation for his personal gains.

"NSA Babagana Monguno drive to wind down the Presidential Amnesty Program when the objectives of the program have hardly been met halfway is not only a total negation of the spirit of the Amnesty Declaration but an invitation to anarchy in the region, attacks on the oil and gas industry and an escalation of the precarious security situation in the country.

"Mr. President Mohammadu Buhari, we once again appeal to your exhalted office and implore you as father of the nation to listen to the voice of reason, and we join the call of leaders and elders of the region that you appoint from amongst the ranks of those for whom this program is meant a suitable candidate into the office of the coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Program."

Drama broke out in Bayelsa State this week, after a suspected ritualist was apprehended by the Ogobiri vigilante squad in Sagbama LGA of Bayelsa state.

He was caught in the act of using suspected diabolical handkerchief to steal the manliness of little children so he would use them for ritual.

The man was made to confess and he admitted to the act, he was therefore forced to return the children’s manliness which he did publicly.

According to his confession as narrated by an eye-witness, the alledged man consulted a ritualist who in turn gave him a handkerchief. According to him, the handkerchief should be used to wipe any child’s face and in an instance, the child’s destiny would become his.

Going further, he confessed that the handkerchief functions as a “manhood collector” to harvest people’s manhood for ritual, and that the charm works with ladies too. He said any lady he sleeps with will never give birth in life again.

He also confessed that he goes to rural communities as a trader and lures children with sweets and biscuit’s into his home and after which he uses the handkerchief to rub their faces in the pretence of cleaning sweats and in an instance, their manhood will vanish.

The man claims to hail from Anambra state in the Eastern part of Nigeria. He further claimed that they are many in number and have shared themselves into different parts of the state.

"Please Pay Up Our 28 Months Stipends" Beneficiaries Amnesty Program Beg Government [PHOTOS]

Concerned beneficiaries of the Niger Delta Amnesty scholarship program has come out to disclose the sole reason for their unceasing protest and particularly the one done earlier today.

In a statement acquired by NAIJA LIVE TV from over 1061 PAP delegate protesters today. the group relay that many of them are already dropping out as the government has denied them their entitlements since the past 28 months.

They further pleaded the government and concerned individuals and bodies to pay up their owed 28 months stipend before more damages gets wrecked upon them.

The statement reads:

“We the concerned Niger Delta unpaid PAP students from the regions of Bayelsa, Delta, Rivers ,Edo, Ondo and Akwa Ibom, wish to plead with the presidency to stop the constant malignation and intimidation that we have constantly faced for over three years.”

“We are beneficiaries of the Niger Delta Amnesty program and we were invited through SMS by the office of the Special Advicer to the President on Niger Delta affairs to attend a predeployment Education sponsorship Screening exercise on the first week of January 2018 at Port Harcourt and Asaba which we wrote and over 1061 delegates where duly given admission in February 28th, names of the schools which we were deployed to include: Edwin Clark University, Kiagbodo Delta State; Gregory University, Uturu Abia State; Novena University, Ogume, Delta State; Benson Idahosa University, Benin, Edo State; Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State; Micheal & Cecilia University, Agbara, Delta State; Achievers University, Ondo State; Elizade University, Ondo State; Igbenedion University, Okada, Edo State; Ritman University, Delta State, and others. However the concerned bodies decided only to pay for 314 delegates causing sectionality and unjustifiably denying the others without giving any cogent reason whatsoever for over twenty eight months, hence we have become destitute in our institution causing academic lapses to us as a result of not being able to meet up financially.”

The statement concludes that:

“All angles to reach out through dialogue, consolidation to the required authorities was to no avail, hence we are now forced to embark on this protest in other to tell the world how some of us are now dropping out of school due to financial constraints. We are now pleading with the relevant authorities to give heed to what we deserve by paying us all our 28 month stipends and other entitlements attached to it and which we duly deserve.

Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church, on Sunday, disclosed that his church recorded 114 COVID-19 healings.

Oyedepo, who is the founder of Living Faith said the above number testified of being healed from COVID-19.

He spoke during his sermon at the church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State, while faulting the partial reopening of markets.

The cleric lamented that market places where people no longer observe social distancing or hygiene remain open but the church is being suppressed.

According to Oyedepo: “Can anybody silence the church? Never! I have never heard of anybody that God healed in the market but people get healed in every church day and night, real tangible healing.

Lawyers of Mienpamo Onitsha Saint, CEO of as drags DSS to court over the commando style in which the DSS broke into their clients house in the middle of the night with masked faces, blindfolded him and abducted him like a common criminal over a publication he made on his site.

According to Barr Ebi Robert and Barr Wisdom Adike, it is left for a court of competent jurisdiction to determine whether or not the fundamental rights of their client were violated and act accordingly as they are going to seek redress in court due to the way and manner their client was abducted and taken into custody by the DSS.

This discussion was made known in an eleven minutes plus video, released by his lawyers in Bayelsa. In the video, the lawyers described Mienpamo’s detention by the Department of States Security as unlawful and thus violates his fundamental rights.

Bayelsa Senatorial Seat: “Kpodoh is Suffering From Memory Lost, An unstable Personality” ~ Hon. Ayakpo Burst bubbles

The Member Representing the good people of Ekeremor Constituency 2 in Bayelsa State House of Assembly under the platform of the APC Honorable Wilson Ayakpo Dauyegha has advised the people of Bayelsa West Senatorial District to ignore the statement credited to the former Special Adviser to Chief Timipre Sylva on Security Perekeme Richard Kpodoh.

In the said statement, Richard Kpodoh popularly known as Pere-Rich had said nobody in the APC can wrestle power with former governor Henry Seriake Dickson in the forthcoming senatorial election in Bayelsa West.

Pere-Rich went on to cast aspersion on the Minister of State for petroleum and leader of the APC in the state Chief Timipre Sylva, describing Sylva as a selfish leader.

Reacting to this, Honorable Ayakpo said he is not supposed to respond to a statement credited to a man who by all standards has lost his sense of reasoning and is looking for stomach infrastructure.

He said he has decided to set the records straight for the sake of a few gullible persons who may be misled by the frivolous publication.

Honorable Ayakpo says for the avoidance of doubt, Pere-Rich is not a member of the APC as he is on a mission to mend fence with former governor Dickson who remanded him in prison for alleged rape, illegal detention and molestation.

Ayakpo further said it should be on record that the APC has been betrayed severally in Sagbama by men who choose immediate gain over party loyalty.

The lawmaker said Ekeremor has been marginalised in Senatorial projects from when the stooges of former governor Dickson took over at the senate.

He said that first it was Senator Foster Ogola, then Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo and the status quo will remain if Dickson is allowed to go to the senate.

On Sylva, Ayakpo said the Minister of state for petroleum and former governor has exhibited high level of leadership in building and maintaining the party in the state, adding that with the likes of Pere-Rich, the party would not have gotten a chance at any level but today, the story is different because of Chief Timipre Sylva.

Ayakpo also advised Pere-Rich to maintain his new romance with Dickson because if Dickson loses the senate, he will pick on Pere-Rich again and send him to jail.
