yes nothing like a year visitor visa.... if u have a visa waiver passport, then u will be granted a year visitor pass at the border but u can’t stay more than 3 month in NZ within that one year. And 6 months maximum if you’re from the UK.

General visitor visa is 3 months which can be extended to a maximum stay of 9 month if u have a good reason for extension e.g relationship.

But INZ often grant a straight 9 months visitor visa depending on your circumstances and it’s usually a multiple entry visa which means u can travel in and out of NZ within a year for a maximum of 9 months stay.
