The man of God looked stunning this Sunday! Thoughts?

2018 is here. It is important to take stock of tourism last year and then have an idea of the expectations from the industry this year. The ultimate aim of industry practitioners is for the country to get to a level where its tourism assets would be developed to the level of attracting both local and inbound tourists to a reasonable degree that tourism numbers will significantly have effect on the country's GDP. The success and failure of the industry are predicated on the activities of both the private and public sectors. At the level of public sector, policies and the provision of infrastructural facilities to help the industry thrive is the key. Taking that into consideration, it is difficult to say that the country's industry performed very well last year. There were no serious "icy shuts by the government to push the sector forward in 2017. All the major issues that have been highlighted as being important to move the sector forward were not advanced beyond the state they were at the beginning of last year. The roadmap for tourism development in the country, the National Tourism Master-plan, did not move beyond the point it was in 2016. Tourism policies and their implementation are still at the whims of the director-general to formulate and execute based on their understanding. At the beginning of last year, the apex tourism body for the country, the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC), was running without a substantive director general. Two senior workers of the corporation were claiming seniority and, as such, the right to act as acting director-general. First was Mr. Boniface Eboka to whom the agency was handed over to at the expiration of the tenure of the former DG, Mrs. Sally Mbanefo. Then, on January 22, the supervising ministry, the Ministry of Information and Culture, instructed Mrs. Mariel Rae-Omo to take over as the acting director-general by virtue of being the most senior. Less than two months later, on March 15, another acting director-general, Dr. Paul Adalikwu, came on board. Three DGs in three months in the parastatal. The federal government corrected this anomaly by appointed Mr.Folarin Coker as the substantive DG on April 7 last year. Folarin Coker in July last year unfolded his tourism roadmap using Tour Nigeria as the signature project to get locals to buy into tourism by Nigeria. Folarin said he was going to concentrate more to promote domestic tourism. Part of the incentive was to create tour packages that would help the Nigerians visit tour sites. Although many practitioners see this initiative as laudable, they however believe that the policy should have been better framed with inputs from the private sector. The NTDC, they believe, should enlist the private sector to run with the vision rather the NTDC trying to implement it. Many hope this will come to fruition in 2018. The tourism development fund, which most countries create to get dedicated funds for the development and marketing their tourism, is still in doldrums in Nigeria. A few years ago, the government showed its desire to provide visas on arrival for tourists and visitors to Nigeria. There is no clear-cut pronouncement on the implementation. This is among the key issues for tourism in 2018. For Nigerians seeking to travel out of the country, procuring international passports are still expensive and the process is cumbersome. All these are disincentives to tourism in the country. 2017 also saw points of disagreement between the public and private sectors as the private sector umbrella body for tourism industry practitioners, the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN), kicked against the bill before the National Assembly for the amendment of the laws setting up the Nigerian Institute of Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR) and the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC). The FTAN said there was not adequate consultation with the private sector before the bill was presented. At the private sector level, for most tourism establishments, especially the hospitality sector, it was cautious optimism. Unlike the years in which they had to battle with Ebola and inflation, 2017 was devoid of such. The Occupancy rate of most branded hotels in the country was average, managing to survive with serious improvement. Just to underscore the rather cautious disposition in the sector, there was little or no activities from the major international branded hospitality outfits in the country. Most were more concerned about managing their properties out of the post-recession era. However, Nigeria's biggest tourist attraction, Pastor T.B.Joshua, and the Synagogue Church of All Nations, continued to enjoy huge numbers in terms of inbound tourism arrivals. One advantage that Ikotun has in terms of tourism arrival is that it is not a seasonal destination. It enjoyed an all-year-round influx of religious tourists. High profile visitors, like George Opong Weah, the President-Elect of Liberia, were among thousands who visited the church last year. 2017 was supposed to be the year Nigeria's much touted visas on arrival was to take off. Despite all the noise, the policy is yet to be implemented. In 2017, the 12-year-old Abuja Carnival was finally laid to rest as it was cancelled by the Federal Government. The carnival which was first held in 2005 to showcase all that is good in Nigerian culture gradually lost steam and deviated from the vision for which it was set up. The crowd disappeared and the initial excitement the festival brought fizzled. It became just an annual routine until it was finally laid to rest. The private umbrella body for tourism industry, the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN), elected a new set of executives led by Alhaji Saleh Kareem Rabo. One of the biggest positive things of the year came in December 16 when Ethiopian Airlines made history in Nigeria by putting together an all-female crew, led by Captain Amsale Gualu, to fly a Boeing 777-300ER from Bole International Airport to Lagos, Nigeria. It was the first all-female air crew flight in Nigeria. Captain Gualu talked on the historic flight to Nigeria: "Actually, this is not my first international flight; this is my first African all-women operated flight and I am very privileged to be part of this historical flight. I am very proud to be part of this flight." She was quick to dismiss the slight turbulence experience around the Cameroonian airspace. On whether she was apprehensive, she said: "Not at all, that is our day to day experience." She also talked about how she became a pilot: "This is my childhood dream to fly. Since I was a child, I always wanted to fly. I wanted to be pilot. I guess I developed my passion for flying from when I was young. Then, my father used to take my sister and I to the airport to see airplanes take off and land. When I was in high school or so, I used to be impressed by pilots' uniform, I guess that is when my passion for flying developed. And after graduating from the university in Addis Ababa, I joined Ethiopian Airlines as a First Officer, then I went all the way, I flew Fokker 50 and Boeing 767, then I became a captain in 2010 on Dash 50-400. Then as a captain I flew Boeing 767, and then triple seven, plus the latest aircraft." On the significance of the flight, she said: "I believe Africa is the future, so we need 50 percent of the society involved and we need the female touch. As men and women, we have our differences, but regardless of that, anything is possible. Being a woman should never stop us from doing what we want to do." At the international level, 2017 saw Africa lose a golden opportunity to produce the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) Secretary General. The leading candidate was former Zimbabwe tourism minister, Mr. Walter Mzembi. He got the African Union (AU) endorsement as the official candidate of Africa. He was cruising to a comfortable victory until Seychelles' tourism minister, Mr. Alain St. Ange, decided to throw his hat into the ring. Africa ended up losing the seat to Europe in a keenly contested election. The general consensus among industry practitioners was that tourism in Nigeria did not do well last year. They are, however, optimistic it will improve in 2018. Written by Okorie Uguru SOURCE: The Nation Newspaper, Saturday January 6, Page 30

Guyz i know some of you, May be tired to read anything from TB Joshua. Without annoying anyone, i like to present to you some staffs regarding engineering. Today, i watched Emanuel TV: coincidentally i saw the difference between, the controlled demolition and the structural failures. I almost became convinced that; the collapsed of TB Joshua building is not simply a structural failures, as i thought it should. I've to admit that, I personally never saw any collapse building before today, Though i heard some news reporting about the collapsed Buildings in the various part of the world. The TB Joshua footage has convinced me that, The SCOAN Building is simply not a result of structural failures. REASONS: The structural failure; some parts of the building "MUST" remain intact (Without breakage), mean while the "Controlled demolition" leave no wall stands - only rubble remains, Likewise the TB JOSHUA Building left no Wall intact. Hence i may say it is controlled demolition and not a result from shoddy construction. Hope there are more experts who can tell the difference between these 2 forms of "buildings collapse". 1.The picture below (Bangladesh Collapse) resulting from substandard construction, hence it is "structural failure". 2. Controlled demolition (below) - TB Joshua Building: No part of the wall remained intact. This is obvious. It is only few people who are malice toward TB Joshua are acting wanton disregard in the reality of evil to the building. There are 130 People died in Makkah and none of them (is) saying a word. The world hates good people. SEE MORE at: http://www.jamiiforums.com/international-forum/738901-tb-joshua-building-is-it-a-controlled-demolition-or-structural-failure.html#post10836087

Before travelling for a special official mission, Corporal Benjamin Gabriel of the Nigerian Police Force, had been given a copy of one of Prophet T.B. Joshua’s sermons, known as an ‘MPG – Mouthpiece of God’ titled, You Must Be Born Again. Although he had never visited The SCOAN before, after reading the message, his faith in Christ Jesus increased. He took his photograph by faith and placed it inside the sermon leaflet as a point of contact for God’s intervention in his life. He then placed the sermon leaflet inside his travelling bag and said he believed that the yoke in his life was broken, in Jesus’ name. While he was on the special assignment, armed robbers suddenly surrounded him and his fellow officers and started firing at them at close range. The officer beside him was shot dead instantly and others were severely injured. Corporal Gabriel shouted the name, “Jesus!” as bullets flew towards him, tearing through his combat boots and uniform. They continued firing at him at close range and he continued shouting the name, Jesus. As the armed robbers continued firing, they were shocked to see the bullets ripping apart his uniform but not piercing his body. The Corporal started firing back at them but they rushed forward and collected his gun. The armed robbers then shouted to each other that they should kill him but the power of God came upon Corporal Gabriel and he marched towards them with boldness and collected their guns! He recalled, “They collected my AK-47 and I collected their AK-49s!” Full of fear, the armed robbers ran disarmed and in confusion. The enemy in his life had been paralysed and demoralized. Corporal Benjamin Gabriel, the bullet-proof officer, showed reporters the very uniform he wore that day. The uniform is full of bullet holes, including his underwear but miraculously, not one of the bullets had entered his body! The bullets destroyed his boots but his feet were untouched! He said that when he told the Commissioner of Police in his State and his superiors, they couldn’t believe what had happened and questioned him about his unexplainable, unharmed and untouched body. He showed them his photo, inside the sermon of Prophet T.B. Joshua from The SCOAN. “God made my body bullet-proof!” was his ecstatic reply.

I read this comment on the Punch Article - http://www.punchng.com/news/crisis-looms-in-apc-over-power-sharing/. Food for thought... "I awoke this morning to discover the following headline on Nigeria’s Saturday Punch newspaper, ‘Crisis Looms In APC Over Power Sharing’. A brief summary of the contents within is that “the five governors, who defected to the APC from the Peoples Democratic Party, were locked in a supremacy battle with some leaders of the three political parties that merged to form the APC.” Although this news is not all that surprising to those with any historical knowledge of and insight in Nigerian politics, what struck me on a personal note was the proximity of this information to the recent prophetic message delivered by Prophet T.B. Joshua, a clergyman for whom my respect is steadily deepening. “There will be a leadership tussle on who will lead and who will be presidential candidate in APC which will affect them as a political party,” Joshua had told his congregation during their New Year service. “They should be vigilant. Many are with them in flesh but not with them in spirit.” Some may insinuate that this is an obvious eventuality when considering the pedigree of Nigerian politics and politicians but I however am viewing the prophecy contextually and not from the perspective of an isolated proclamation restricted to a certain season. I started viewing Joshua’s television station Emmanuel TV, albeit reservedly, some time ago under the stern and persistent pestering of my mum who is an avid fan and insisted that I take my brother to The SCOAN because of his inexplicable health challenges. I must confess that although I still maintain some degree of scepticism, my spiritual understanding has certainly broadened through viewing his station. One aspect that captures attention is the prophetic ministry he operates in, something my scientific frame of mind took considerable time to fathom. Joshua prophesies to individuals with almost ‘alarming’ accuracy and consistency during his services which are all broadcast live, the results thereafter indicative of their source being Divine rather than demonic, as many have hastily concluded. Coming to Joshua’s national and international prophecies, although they are often parabolically worded and lacking in specific facts, his repertoire of fulfilled prophecies over the years is rather remarkable. To take Nigerian politics for example, through some focused Googling, I have seen video evidence of Joshua prophesying about the formation of APC several years ago in 2010, a time when no such plan was in motion. It is on record also that he predicted the postponement of the 2011 elections alongside a whole host of other national events including plane crashes and the demise of key political figures. The Sunday before Joshua’s New Year message, in the presence of Malawian leader Joyce Banda, two events also transpired which should be food for thought for the political elite to whom Joshua unswervingly addressed in his prophecy. Firstly, an official letter was read from South Sudan’s leader Salva Kir, acknowledging the prophecy Joshua had given several months ago about an imminent attack on a leader of an East African nation, and requesting for prayers. It is pertinent to note that merely days after public prayers had been offered for ceasefire at The SCOAN, an army of 20,000 rebel youths bent on rampage where surprisingly convinced to halt their attack and peace discussions are currently being held by both parties. The situation is still volatile but there is a considerably better outlook then there was at the time this letter was sent. Secondly, Joshua prophesied that an attack was coming against the nation of Russia, calling for prayers for their leader lest the imminent crisis and subsequent opposition would bring him down. The following day, two terrorist attacks occurred within Russia, causing multiple deaths and casting doubts on national security, especially in lieu of the upcoming Winter Olympics. Coincidence? Thus, my main point of penning this piece is simple – let leaders take this message by T.B. Joshua in proportion to the seriousness of its contents. The testimony of time, in my humble opinion, has trumpeted enough evidence to know that God Himself is behind his words. He said, “What will happen in 2014 will result in the correction of the corruption in Nigeria because many corrupt leaders will go down in 2014. If many key leaders go down with 2014, what will now happen in 2015? Pray for 2015 to be fulfilled. The beginner is not the owner but the finisher.” Let this prayer echo on the lips of Nigerians nationwide with the knowledge that this year, corruption has no hiding place or hold in our nation’s political framework." |
Suicide and depression, the tragic occurrences taking place around the world today, were highlighted in The SCOAN’s Sunday Live Service. A prophetic message from Prophet T.B. Joshua had called out a woman who was bedwetting and was planning to commit suicide because she was no longer able to bear the shame of the stigma and the despair of not finding a way out of it. The prophet stated that many today, including believers, Christian leaders, pastors, find themselves in challenging situations, trials, situations that do not offer any hope of a solution. Many individuals, even pastors, find themselves plagued with depression and thoughts of suicide. He spoke briefly of a young pastor from the US who, feeling that his prayers had not been heard by God, tragically committed suicide recently. The pastor had expressed the negative thoughts he had been facing to his congregation but was not able to break free from those thoughts. Encouraging young and old alike in their faith, Prophet T.B. Joshua stated, “That you are sick does not make you an unbeliever. That you are facing challenges does not make you an unbeliever. A man may be sick and yet be a friend of God! A man may face depression yet be a candidate of Heaven!” This message should be carried around the world to our loved ones, family, friends, church leaders and pastors. Someone is somewhere praying for you. Someone is somewhere encouraging you in your faith. We pray that your faith should not fail. That you face challenges, does not make you an unbeliever! You are a citizen of Heaven. |

The message in this post is NOT TRUE and it is NOT FROM THE SCOAN. We all heard from Prophet T.B. Joshua himself on Emmanuel TV that he is no longer releasing football prophecies. Renowned Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua turns 50 on Wednesday June 12th 2013. In his characteristically unconventional style, he has called for the focus of the celebration to be redirected towards care for the less privileged and job creation for unemployed graduates. Speaking on his popular broadcast platform Emmanuel TV, Joshua called on well-wishers who desired to give in cash or kind towards the golden occasion to rather channel such resources into charitable endeavours. “The best way to celebrate this birthday is to be on your knees and thank God for the life of T.B. Joshua. Pray for the Church of God for a strong bond of love. Pray for your nation and the whole world and rededicate yourself to the acts of giving. Be a father to the fatherless and a benefactor to the needy. Raise the standard of living through the little you are going to invest,” Joshua exhorted congregants. “Those things you have for T.B. Joshua, even what you will spend on a greeting card, put it together and spend it on this commission.” The noted philanthropist challenged viewers to examine the listed names on their phones, asking how many people were friends with the under-privileged or bedridden. “You must have many orphans and those on the sick bed as friends. Give them a call. Be a prayer partner with them and let them know there is hope. Become part of their family,” he passionately counselled. He stated his priority project was facilitating the creation of jobs for frustrated graduates, calling on all in a position to support job-seekers to come forward. “We must get jobs for people who are jobless. This is the number one project for my 50th birthday. I am going to pursue it. Graduates are everywhere without a job. This birthday, it will be an assignment for me.” He bemoaned the state of youth worldwide, stating a bleak future lay ahead if urgent action was not taken by those in a position to help. “If you listen to the graduates of today, you will be afraid of the future. If something is not done quickly, you will not be able to sleep and close your eyes in the future. Tomorrow will be very tough; we have to come together and do something now.” Last week, the project began in earnest with Joshua facilitating the employment of 24 graduates in jobs, 22 of whom were not members of The SCOAN. He called on churches worldwide to join in the call for job creation with no strings attached. “If every church and organization embarks on telling people in the position to get graduates jobs instead of campaigning for money and prosperity, it will change the situation,” he stated. He further added that these actions should not be determined by time or season. “When you start, don’t stop – let it be part of you forever. Your rewards in life are determined by how many people you have helped and the problems you have solved. This is the way the Lord wants us to celebrate this birthday at 50.” On a personal note, Joshua said the occasion was a sober moment for appreciation of God’s goodness in his life and added determination for greater service to Him and humanity. “To whom much is given, much is expected. The Lord has given me so much in all areas of my life which I cannot reciprocate. What an undeserved blessing! At 50, I should be more grateful to God and show more commitment to His service,” the Nigerian pastor stated. Stressing that the source of his success lay in the closeness of his relationship with God, Joshua revealed, “If I could give you one clue to my success, I would say I took care of the depth of my relationship with God and He took care of the breadth of my success. Jesus will do the same for you!” Born on June 12th 1963 in Ondo State, Nigeria, T.B. Joshua’s rise from a poverty-stricken home to an internationally renowned minister of God is nothing short of remarkable. With his birth shrouded in mystery, legend has it that Joshua was in his mother’s womb for 15 months. It is also claimed he narrowly avoided death seven days after his birth after a quarry explosion near his house sent rocks through its roof, missing him by inches. From dropping out of secondary school in his first year to working in a poultry farm carrying chicken waste; from teaching little children while attending evening classes to washing people’s legs on the muddy streets of Lagos; from a forty day fast to receiving a divine call and starting a ministry with a mere eight members – the life of T.B. Joshua is indeed a journey of amazing grace. Today, countless thousands journey weekly to his abode in the heart of Ikotun-Egbe, Lagos to seek spiritual solace with millions more tuning in to watch what is reputed to be Africa’s most popular station, Emmanuel TV. “PRAY ON MONDAY FOR THE USA – I SEE FLAMES, A MASSACRE” – THE BOSTON MARATHON, PROPHET TB JOSHUA “Something is roaming around in the city, the country…I see massacre. Pray for the nation, America”. These words echoed in the hearts of the thousands who witnessed the vicious explosions at the Boston Marathon on Monday, April 15, 2013. As huge crowds gathered to witness one of America’s largest and most attended races, flames and smoke roared through the city as the earth shook, taking the world by surprise “We should pray on Monday...Large gatherings should be avoided or well-guarded and well-secured.” The Boston Marathon is one of the best attended races in the country. It attracts people from all over the country and the world at large. Friends, businesses, families had come out to support the runners and take part in the event. Unknown to the crowd was that hidden nearby were devices that would change the course of their lives. “I see flame…” As the runners reached the finish line of the almost 32km race, the ground shook as explosions bombarded the crowd, flooding the area with billows of smoke and fragments of broken buildings and glass. “This is homeland security” Security forces emerged onto the scene as victims were rushed to hospitals and an investigation of the scene began. Located later was another device, hidden in the nearby Mandarin Hotel. During three live services at The SCOAN, Prophet T.B. Joshua had revealed a prophetic vision God had shown him, in which he saw flames and a massacre occurring in a large gathering of people in the US on a Monday. He called on the world to pray concerning the vision and to be vigilant of homeland security where there are large gatherings of people. In a tragic event that some are calling the largest attack since 9/11, numerous people have lost their lives and many have had their lives altered forever. We continue to pray for God’s strength and comfort for those who lost their loved ones in this attack as the events unfold. Stay tuned to Emmanuel TV for the full prophetic message. www.emmanuel.tv

BREAKING: INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL UNCOVERS TB JOSHUA – VIDEO ON YOUTUBE April 7, 2013 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTjdK_zrJBY Temitope Balogun Joshua (born June 12, 1963 in Arigidi, Nigeria), commonly referred to as T. B. Joshua, is a Christian minister, televangelist and faith healer. He is leader and founder of the ministry organisation The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN), which runs a Christian television station called Emmanuel TV, available on satellite and on the Internet via the Streaming Faith broadcast portal. He is also a notable humanitarian, providing aid to minorities and the underprivileged on national and international scales via Another Ministry. He has been awarded various accolades, notably receiving the National Honour of OFR by the Nigerian government in 2008.[1] He is recognised as one of Africa's 50 most influential people.[2][3] Joshua is known for his popularity across Africa and his online presence, with close to 600,000 fans on Facebook[4] and hundreds of YouTube videos which have proved controversial and amassed thousands of views. Biography According to Joshua’s official biography, unusual circumstances surrounded his birth. It is claimed he spent 15 months in his mother’s womb [5] and narrowly avoided death after a quarry explosion near his house sent rocks through its roof just seven days after his birth. Joshua attended St. Stephen's Anglican Primary School in Arigidi-Akoko, Nigeria between 1971 and 1977,[6] but failed to complete one year of secondary school education.[6] In school, he was known as "small pastor" because of his love for the Bible. He worked in various casual jobs after his schooling had ended, including carrying chicken waste at a poultry farm.[7] He organised Bible studies for local children and attended evening school during this period.[5] Joshua attempted to join the Nigerian military but was thwarted due to a train breakdown that left him stranded en route to the military academy.[8] The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN) In 1989, T. B. Joshua allegedly fasted and prayed for 40 days and 40 nights.[9] He wrote that in a heavenly vision, he had received divine anointing and a covenant from God to start his ministry.[10] Following this, Joshua founded the ministry organisation The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN) with only a handful of members.[11][self-published source] According to the organisation, more than 15,000 members now attend its weekly Sunday service; visitors from outside Nigeria are accommodated in the accommodation blocks constructed at the church.[12][13][14] Claims of healing and other miracles SCOAN remains controversial both in Nigeria and abroad, claiming regular occurrences of divine miracles. Several hundred Nigerians and international visitors come to the SCOAN each week to register for the prayer lines where the visitors are prayed over by T. B. Joshua and the "Wise Men". SCOAN has published numerous videos claiming to document the healing of incurable disabilities and illnesses such as spinal cord injuries, HIV/AIDS[15][16][17] and cancer.[18] Medical reports are a prerequisite for prayer for any health-related ailment in an attempt to authenticate the miracles said to be occurring. Notable sportspersons who claim to have been healed of sporting injuries at the SCOAN include South African rugby players Jaco van der Westhuizen[19] and Jaco du Preeze, and Nigerian footballer Joseph Yobo.[20] Spiritual healing at The SCOAN has been mentioned by Time magazine.[21] Since June 2010, five "Wise Men" have joined in ministering to people at The SCOAN, purportedly able to prophesy, heal and deliver in the same vein as T. B. Joshua.[22] The church has branches in Ghana,[23][24][25] the United Kingdom,[26] South Africa,[27][self-published source] and Greece.[28] Many have also claimed to be healed through ‘Anointing Water’ that has been prayed over by Joshua and given to those who are unable to physically attend his church in Lagos.[29][30][31] Deliverance of demon-possessed SCOAN is also controversial for the 'deliverance' of those allegedly possessed by evil spirits during its services.[32][33] The wife of Ghanaian goal keeper Richard Kingson was allegedly delivered of an evil spirit which was behind her husband's inability to procure a contract with a team since 2011.[34] Humanitarian work Another Ministry is the humanitarian arm of SCOAN. It caters to the needs of widows,[35][36] dwarfs,[37] the elderly,[38] physically challenged,[39] orphans and the destitute.[40] The church provides scholarships to orphans and children of the underprivileged, with educational support given from primary to tertiary levels. His scholarship sponsorships have included a Nigerian student doing a PhD in Oxford University, Nigerian media reporting the total given amounted to £100,000.[41] There is also a rehabilitation programme for armed robbers,[42][43] prostitutes, political thugs and militants from Nigeria’s volatile Niger Delta region.[44] Joshua is well known in Nigeria for reconciling broken families and marriages.[45][46][47] SCOAN has established various NGOs in other countries, including the Passion For Needy in Ghana.[48] After the 2010 Haiti earthquake, Joshua sent a team of medical personnel and humanitarian workers to the affected area, establishing a field hospital called 'Clinique Emmanuel'.[49] A Forbes blogger estimated Joshua has spent $20 million on humanitarian activities in the last three years.[44] In recognition of his humanitarian activities, he was awarded a National Honour by the Nigerian government in 2008.[1] Sports In 2009 T. B. Joshua started a football club, My People FC, as part of efforts to help the youth. Two members of the team played for Nigeria's Golden Eaglets in the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup. Sani Emmanuel, who apparently lived in The SCOAN for several years,[50] was Nigeria's top-scorer and the tournament's MVP. Emmanuel and his colleague Ogenyi Onazi have now signed professional contracts with SS Lazio, Onazi recently debuting and scoring for the Nigerian Senior Team, the Super Eagles.[51] Following the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India, T. B. Joshua rewarded the efforts of the Nigerian Team, presenting the physically challenged medalists with cash gifts and cars.[52] Current WBO International Light Middleweight boxing champion King Davidson Emenogu said that Joshua has financially supported him throughout his career and purportedly prophesied that he would be a world boxing champion.[53] Claims of prophecy SCOAN claims that Joshua has successfully predicted events in the lives of individuals who attend his church services as well as worldwide events, including a prophecy of Michael Jackson's death[54] and the outcome of various football matches, including the recent African Cup of Nations (AFCON) final match, which was won by the Zambia national football team.[55] His prophecy about the death of former Malawian President Bingu wa Mutharika, created an internet storm, the prediction widely reported in African press before[56] and after his demise.[57][58] Joshua's prophecies are allegedly held in such esteem that false rumors spread using his name are known to have caused widespread panic in communities,[59][60] affected sporting events[61] and led people to stop using social networks.[62] Notable visitors Notable visitors, especially within the African political sphere, have visited SCOAN. These include Zimbabwe’s Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangarai,[63] late Ghanaian President John Evans Atta Mills [64] (who testified that T. B. Joshua prophesied his ascent to presidency),[65] South Africa’s Winnie Mandela,[66] Malawian President Joyce Banda[67] and the Zulu King, Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu [68] Emmanuel TV Emmanuel TV is the television station of the SCOAN and broadcasts 24/7. Their Sunday and Monday services, which include the prayer lines, are broadcast live. T. B. Joshua's programmes also air 5 days a week on TBN Africa, as well as weekly on a number of local television stations across Africa. T. B. Joshua has donated televisions to prisons and hospitals so that they will be able to watch the Emmanuel TV broadcasts.[69][70] Popular Nigerian Actress Tonto Dikeh testified that Joshua’s prayers on Emmanuel TV stopped her smoking habit of 14 years.[71] Controversy Joshua and pastors from SCOAN have attracted controversy for their claims to heal incurable illnesses such as HIV/AIDS[15][16][17] and cancer[18][72] and recommending that "healed" individuals stop taking potentially life-saving antiviral medications.[72] Rumours of Joshua's plans to visit Zimbabwe in May 2012 led to controversial clashes within both politicians and pastors.[73] The visit never materialized. Personal life T. B. Joshua is married to Evelyn Joshua. Contradictory reports have circulated as to whether he has children.[74] His first daughter Serah graduated from London School of Economics with a law degree in 2012, and was planning to pursue a Master's degree in America.[74]

On Saturday, March 23, 2013 on Emmanuel TV, a moment’s silence was observed as a prophetic message spoken one week prior, on Saturday, March 16, 2013, during a live Saturday service was replayed. In it, Prophet T.B. Joshua revealed a prophetic vision regarding explosions he saw happening in the nation of Nigeria. These were his words: “This is fire. This is explosion. This is flame. This is not good for the nation, Nigeria.” As the congregation remained in silence, the renowned pastor asked God Almighty for comfort and succor for the nation of Nigeria. To those who live in Nigeria, and those who follow the lives of their families and friends from foreign coasts, one moment resonated in their hearts during the prayer. That was the moment five deadly suicide bombs exploded in Kano, Nigeria, just two days after the vision was revealed. International news stated, on Monday, March 18, 2013, that the number of people killed in a suicide car bomb attack at a bus stop in the Nigerian city of Kano on Monday had risen. Several buses were destroyed in the attack in the Sabon Gari district - which is home to many Christians from southern Nigeria. Several witnesses told Reuters that one of the buses targeted was full when the explosion happened, and was completely destroyed. At least 65 people were injured. Police say two suicide bombers drove their explosive-laden car into the station in a Christian enclave in the predominantly Muslim commercial centre. The BBC's Yusuf Ibrahim Yakasai in Kano says that security in the city has been substantially tightened following the blast, with the area of the explosion almost completely sealed off. Nigeria, let this moment of silence continue into a lifestyle of prayer and peace-seeking within and without our borders. May the God of mercy and peace continue to speak peace into our lives and communities and may we heed His voice, in Jesus’ name. |
Mar 8, 2013 12:06:00 AM Ogenyi Onazi celebrated scoring his first European goal as he helped Lazio to a 2-0 win over German side, VFB Stuttgart at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Germany on Thursday. The diminutive midfielder popped up in the 56th minute to add Lazio’s second after Ederson had opened scoring for the away side on 21 minutes. His goal was a coolly taken one as he deftly lifted the ball over an onrushing Sven Ulreich, who kept goal for Stuttgart. The Nigerian was rated as the man of the match as he won the most tackles and successfully completed four dribbles - the highest in the match. He also had 85% pass accuracy from 70 touches of the ball and won 50% of his aerial duels. Onazi is one of the 15 Europe-based players that have been called up for the World Cup qualifier against Kenya. Onazi has played eight times in Europe this season for Lazio. In fairness to Stuttgart, they appeared to be in very little danger of conceding when Onazipicked up possession in midfield. However, the 20-year-old Nigerian jinked his way past two would-be tacklers before coolly lifting the ball past Ulreich and into the back of the net. Fans who witnessed the match commented, " Ogenyi Onazi's goal yesterday reminded me of the mazy runs by Ronaldo(Brazil),Messi & Maradona." Onazi, a mature player full of surprises, is definitely one to keep our eyes on.

Uebert Angel....AGITATION FROM NIGERIA We have believed and we have held fast to the belief, that Nigeria and Zimbabwe are working steadfastly on their relationship with one another. We are welcomed in each other’s countries, we work, we marry, we open businesses in each other’s countries. We are slowly coming to greater understanding. So, why is this Zimbabwean pastor coming to abuse that relationship? What is his purpose? What is his mission? Is he fighting against Nigerians as a whole? Is he trying to attack a particular group or person in Nigeria? What is with his commotion? He has a large following, people are attending his meetings. Why must he leave his country, go to South Africa, gather a large following and then begin to lambast Nigeria? I and my community were outraged when we tuned in to Spirit Embassy for the live programme and heard the abuse with our own eyes and ears. Yes, Uebert Angel is a respected man of God in his country. Why should he begin to abuse us and another respected man of God in our country? “Because of time” is a frequent statement from our dear Prophet T.B. Joshua of The SCOAN. He often utters it at the closing of his hours long services… BECAUSE OF TIME! Is this Zim pastor coming to ridicule him? Or is he simply saying that Nigerians can’t speak proper English? “Me no get time according to Nigeria”. What is he trying to say? Why turn it into an entire programme that he has begun to run on his station? We cannot stand for such utter nonsense. We cannot allow this young fool, for lack of a better word, try to cause turbulence in the relationship between Nigeria and Zimbabwe. We call on our Zim brothers and sisters to put him in check. His behaviour should not be tolerated. We are not amused. The pain of one should be the pain of all. The wound of one should be the wound of all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANsHCohIv1I |
The victory of Nigeria’s Super Eagles over the Stallions of Burkina Faso at the final of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa yesterday did not come as a surprise to the General Overseer of The Synagogue Church Of All Nations, Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, who had on Thursday last week predicted that Stephen Keshi and his team would defeat their opponents to lift the Africa Cup. Sunday Mba’s brilliant winner ended Nigeria’s 19-year wait for the Africa Nations Cup title. Mba flicked the ball over Mohamed Koffi of Burkina Faso before volleying home five minutes before the break. T.B. Joshua told P.M.News before the crucial final that though the match would be tough, the Eagles would win and they indeed defeated Burkina Faso to win the coveted trophy Sunday night in Johannesburg, South Africa. Speaking shortly after the match last night, T.B.Joshua noted that the Nigerian team won the match as he predicted. “I told you that the Eagles’ case was like the biblical Jacob who wrestled with God, saying that unless God blessed him he will not let Him go. I saw the victory coming,” he said. Prophet Joshua had churned out a lot of football prophecies that came to pass. He predicted that the Satellites of Ghana would win the 2009 World Youth Championship, WYC, that was hosted by Egypt. He also predicted the outcome of the matches between Ghana and Nigeria at the Nations Cup in 2008. Another preidction was Nigeria’s loss to Tunisia in the 2004 Nations Cup in the semi final. In the qualifying matches to the South Africa 2010 World Cup, he predicted that Coach Shuaibu Amodu would qualify Nigeria for the Mundial and it came to pass. Even at the just concluded 29th edition of the Nations Cup in South Africa, the Prophet told the Super Eagles that they were going to concede a late minute equaliser against the Stallions of Burkina Faso in their Group C opener, which came to pass. He was also able to predict correctly the outcome of the second semi-final clash between Burkina Faso and the Black Stars of Ghana, which saw Burkina Faso, beating Ghana through penalties. His two predictions will live to haunt the Elephants of Ivory Coast for a very longtime as he once told them that they were going to reach the final of the 2012 edition of the Nations Cup in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, but they would lose the trophy to the Chipolopolo of Zambia. The second prediction that jolted Didier Drogba-inspired Ivory Coast was that the Eagles would send them packing from the South Africa 2013 Nations Cup which came to pass when they lost 1-2 to the Nigerian team. —Taiwo Adelu |
How T B Joshua Mentored Eagles Star ,Ogenyi Onazi Written By CKN NIGERIA on Saturday, 9 February 2013 | 8:35 am He is now one of the most prolific footballers in Nigeria..but what most people didn't know is that without the man of God,Pastor T B Joshua who discovered his potentials early, the young man would still have been just one of those boys running around the streets in Nigeria. About eight months ago The TB Joshua Ministry sent CKN Nigeria the profile of a relatively unknown young man to publish which we did.Today he is a success story.. Welcome to the world of Super Eagles Star Ogenyi Onazi.. Born in Jos, little Onazi started with the Pepsi Academy in Jos, where he played for just six months, before he joined El Kanemi Junior FC of Jos who produced Chelsea star Mikel Obi, Joseph Akpala, Chinedu Efugh, late Henry Ihelewere, among others. From El Kanemi Juniors, the budding Onazi moved to Lagos where he featured for My People Football Club founded by Prophet T.B.Joshua, the founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations. T.B. Joshua would later bankroll 100% the search by Onazi and his Eaglets teammate Sani Emmanuel for a club in Europe, spanning England, Greece and eventually Italy, where Onazi has now finally pitched tent and has already excelled. Last season, Onazi made his Lazio debut when he came on as a substitute against Atalanta. It was the breakthrough he needed to work his way into the club’s and Nigeria's first team. That young man would make history tomorrow if he lift the 3rd ever AFCON cup for his father land with his mates. Presently, over 10 top European clubs seek his signature for next season. Editor:The simple lesson, believe in yourself and your God…

“..The Violent Suspects On The Street Are Not The Only People You Have To Watch ...” MORE IS COMING - TB JOSHUA "The Violence of action will be HIGH. I am the reason TAC alert was established. I will bring unconventional and asymmetrical warfare to those in LAPD uniform whether on or off duty... These words were written by former Los Angeles Police Officer before he began to carry out a massacre, targeting fellow police officers and their families. "I never had the opportunity to have a family of my own, I'm terminating yours." As of date, three people have been killed – one police officer, the daughter of a retired officer and her fiancé. Chilling words. The officer was previously fired from the LAPD and had been appealing the decision, to no avail. He wrote, "I know most of you who personally know me are in disbelief to hear from media reports that I am suspected of committing such horrendous murders and have taken drastic and shocking actions in the last couple of days. You are saying to yourself that this is completely out of character of the man you knew who always wore a smile wherever he was seen. I know I will be villified by the LAPD and the media. Unfortunately, this is a necessary evil that I do not enjoy but must partake and complete for substantial change to occur within the LAPD and reclaim my name.” On the 6th August 2012, PTBJ gave a prophecy concerning homeland security in the nation, America. He called upon the congregation and viewers worldwide to pray for the nation, stating that he saw the massacre that had happened in the theatre, continue. These were his words. “Pray for the nation, America. That massacre that happened in a theatre – more is coming – more, more, more. Pray for the nation. This will continue. This is homeland security.” This is indeed a homeland security issue. The enemy is no longer coming from without but from within. We need God now more than ever before. The seeds we have planted have germinated and are beginning to be reaped – seeds of war, violence, unforgiveness, hatred. The world seems to be coming to the end of its rope. What are we to do? How can we diffuse this situation? The wise once said - when we seem to run out of rope, it is time to grab onto faith. Let us continue to pray for the nation, America as we ponder this and other world prophecies: Prophecies For Individuals In 2013 – Prophet T.B. Joshua 1. A year of surprises – I am seeing many great, famous, popular and rich men and politicians will become helpless and in need of help in matters of sickness, disease, finances, death, etc. One of the causes: They have failed to reward those who helped them to succeed. This is the year of judgment, especially for politicians who use youth to support their political ambitions without reward after winning power. Tell your neighbour: Reward those who help you succeed now. 2. Those in the foodstuff business will have a field day this year. Farming and agriculture will be the order of the day and will help greatly to be the source of solution this year. People engaged in it will be greatly blessed. 3. Those anxious about God and who hate sin – the faithful - your prayers for many years are not lost. This year, there will be instant answers to your prayers, especially those who have been seeking for the fruit of the womb. The long-time barren will become mothers of many babies this New Year. 4. Natural disasters will be many this New Year, such as motor accidents, sea/flood/air disasters, fire, etc. Let us move to God. With God, all things are possible. 5. Stop praying against those who hurt you. This year, you will see clearly that God is God of vengeance. Instead, you should pray for them. 6. Do charity work – feed the poor and the needy and give scholarships to those who deserve them. This year, there is great reward in doing this if you do it with all your heart. No matter how little, share it with others. Share their pain and share their joy. 7. Our youth who think always of travelling should use the money to go into agriculture or foodstuff business because in the New Year, God will bless them. They will achieve greatness by transacting in agriculture and foodstuff and become successful in export and import business. The money I am talking about could be in the region of N100,000, N200,000, N250,000 ($1,000, $1,500, $2,000). Those who have been working for many years and have never been satisfied with the job and salary they receive, the little limited resources at their disposal should be invested in foodstuff business or agriculture, especially those already married. They should divide themselves in such a way that either the husband or wife should step down from service where they receive salary and face agriculture. Foodstuff business and agriculture or farming are anointed businesses this New Year, to revive the world from economic depression. This is the secret of God revealed to you today. Quote me; you will not regret doing it. My name is T.B. Joshua”. |
AFCON: TB JOSHUA’S WATER DIFFUSES MALI’S JUJU! For those that don’t believe black magic plays a part in football, an official with the Super Eagles has informed how the Eagles of Mali players broke two eggs on the Moses Mabhida Stadium turf as they came for the warm-up section in Wednesday’s Semi-Final clash. The official, who begged Sporting Life that his name should not be revealed, said: “I have never seen such a thing in my life though I have heard time without number that ‘juju’ can play a role in African football. “As we set the pitch for the Eagles stars to begin the light warm-up section before the semi-final game, there I spotted two Malian players stoning to the ground eggs as they prepared for their own section. “Another official who also witnessed the incident, called me and gave me a bottle of Anointing Water (from T.B. Joshua) to sprinkle to the spot. That I did. I was not surprised when the Malians made the Eagles look ordinary in the opening 15 minutes of the game. “My joy is, God showed He is above every evil when, after the Mali Eagles dominance, we countered and scored our opening goal. “We then went on to score four goals before they got a consolation.” - Sporting Life |
